Thursday in El Paso, TX, 2020 presidential hopeful former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) shut down speculation that he would run for the U.S. Senate in Texas if his presidential run is not successful. O’Rourke said, “There have even been some who have suggested that I stay in Texas and run for Senate, but that would not be good enough. That would not be good enough for this community, that would not be good enough for El Paso, that would not be good enough for this country.” He added, “We must take the fight directly to the source of this problem. That person who has caused this pain

This guy just really needs to shut up and go away. He doesn't get it that his 15 minutes of fame expired a long time ago.

I hate to inform Robert, but he is not the second coming of Christ. And if he is auditioning for VP he is not doing a very good job. Hubris thy name is Beto.

Since he has no chance of becoming president this will surely come back to bite him. How can he run for the senate now when he says it isn't good enough? Buh bye beto.

That would not be good enough? Toots! No one cares about you in the nation. After you do not get the democrat nomination, you will have to eat an entire field of dirt

So when you lose in the primaries--if not before--we can expect never to hear from you again, right?
I can live with that!

"Beto" is the biggest boob in the Democrat cabal and that is saying something when you look at the rest of them! I really thought that Texans would not buy into a fool like this but evidently, I am wrong!

Beto the phony Hispanic’s political campaign is based upon misplaced emotion. If he were to be elected US President, his emotionally based agenda would not go very far with the leaders of China, the Islamists, North Korea, or Russia.

I for one am glad to hear this. GOPe Cornyn has proven he can't hear his constituents and doesn't give us much to vote FOR. Of course Beto is a huge "against." When I get a fund raising call from Cornyn, the caller ID says "Ted Cruz." That says something about how great Cornyn is.

I was thinking the same as #4. Any future Senate run will have 'it's not good enough' hanging over his head.

Actually, the evidence shows you were right, #8. Texans DIDN'T "buy into him". The 16th congressional district (El Paso) did when they sent him to the House, but that's as far as he got. There's no Sen. O'Rourke from the state of Texas, after all.

It's not fake Beto! Fox News makes a point of letting us know what this nothing has to say about everything. Ditto for the AOCs of the left. Who gives a flip darn dang?

LOL Reminds me of an old Wizard of Id cartoon (millennials, Google it if they'll let you) where Sir Rodney says to the King, "Sire, the peasants are revolting." and the King says, "Tell me about it."
