“Michael Brown’s murder forever changed Ferguson and America. His tragic death sparked a desperately needed conversation and a nationwide movement. We must fight for stronger accountability and racial equity in our justice system.” — Sen. Kamala D. Harris (D-Calif.), in a tweet, Aug. 9 “5 years ago Michael Brown was murdered by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. Michael was unarmed yet he was shot 6 times. I stand with activists and organizers who continue the fight for justice for Michael. We must confront systemic racism and police violence head on.” — Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), in a tweet, Aug. 9

Michael Brown? You mean that huge fat 'African-American' 'child' who physically assaulted a shopkeeper, then assaulted a police officer who was much smaller than him, tried to grab his handgun and got shot in the process? Is that the 'murdered' Michael Brown to whom you are referring? Take your song and dance and hit the road...Tired of hearing his name.

Both Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren said that Officer Wilson murdered Michael Brown on Twitter. Why doesn't Officer Wilson sue them both for slander or libel? He should pauperize the both of them for that slur upon him. Obama's own DOJ, headed by Eric Holder, chose not to bring any charges after they investigated Officer Wilson. If there ever was a clearer case of defamation, please show me.

They are liars, and race baiters of the first order. Now they operate the same way that Al Sharpton does, with only an occasional, passing connection with the truth and facts. Harris and Warren are both entirely corrupt, and care nothing for truth, only their lust for power drives them.

Epstein's life and death

Conspiracy theories are flying regarding the death of well-connected sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, flourishing on social media under hashtags including #ClintonBodyCount and #TrumpBodyCount. When more sober commentators point out that there is, in fact, something suspicious about Epstein’s death, scolds reprimand any such questions as “irresponsible.” Any conversation about irresponsibility here, though, ought to start elsewhere: with those in the ruling class of this country who allowed this whole travesty to occur. As to why so many people don’t trust the authorities who tell them Epstein killed himself, just consider the Epstein saga. It starts with a man with no apparent virtues or skills, who easily bought the favor of our power elite.

There really was a collusion plot. It really did target our election system. It absolutely sought to usurp our capacity for self-determination. It was just not the collusion you’ve been told about for nearly three years. It was not “Donald Trump’s collusion with Russia.” Here is the real collusion scheme: In 2016, the incumbent Democratic administration of President Barack Obama put the awesome powers of the United States government’s law-enforcement and intelligence apparatus in the service of the Hillary Rodham Clinton presidential campaign, the Democratic party, and the progressive Beltway establishment. This scheme had two parts: Plan A, the objective; and Plan B,

It has long since become commonplace for the Democrats and the media to misrepresent any and all policies proposed by the Trump administration, but the blizzard of balderdash that greeted the so-called “green card rule” has been over the top even by left-wing standards. From the moment acting Citizenship and Immigration Services director Ken Cuccinelli announced it on Monday, the public charge regulation — which merely implements two bipartisan statutes passed in the 1990s — has been mischaracterized as a reversal of the nation’s historical immigration philosophy, a racist conspiracy, and a plot to favor rich immigrants over their poor counterparts. All too typical of the nonsense

First thing this morning, Taylor looked at the shooting that took place at the ICE offices in San Antonio. While we can all be grateful that nobody was injured (though someone apparently missed taking a headshot by a matter of inches), I wanted to circle around and hit a couple more details. The first thing to note is that they took a suspect into custody earlier, but later cleared the person of any involvement and released them. Perhaps more interesting (and valuable) is the evaluation of these events from San Antonio Field Office Director Daniel Bible. (KENS News) ICE ERO San Antonio Field Office Director Daniel Bible

With each passing day, Hong Kong is moving dangerously closer to a bloody explosion. America can no longer wait: It’s time to make unmistakably clear that it stands with those demanding freedom and democracy for the region. Since June, demonstrators have taken to the streets in unfathomable numbers — as high as 2 million by some estimates. That’s an astonishing share of Hong Kong’s entire population of 7.4 million. In recent days, protesters camped out at the region’s international airport, forcing the cancellation of more than 200 flights. They used force to hold two men thought to be infiltrators, triggering police and setting off violence. And all this despite well-grounded

The suspect who allegedly shot six Philadelphia police officers and holed up inside a building for hours has been taken into custody, according to the police department. The department said the man was in custody and a SWAT team was clearing the house just after midnight Thursday. The resolution ended a day marked by frightening violence caught live by overhead helicopters in the North Philadelphia neighborhood of Tioga-Nicetown as the man fired wildly at police officers, who were seen diving for cover behind cruisers and evacuating injured comrades. Maurice Hill, 34, has been identified as the suspect, according to his lawyer and law enforcement sources. Hill surrendered peacefully to police,

Sen. Kamala Harris faced criticism Wednesday for promoting her campaign's gun control plan during an appearance on CNN that coincided with breaking news about the police standoff in Philadelphia in which six officers were shot. “When will it stop?” the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate from California asked CNN’s Wolf Blitzer when he asked for her reaction to the initial reports of the shooting. “And I stress initial reports,” Blitzer added. As Harris related details of her plan, information about the ongoing standoff was still sketchy.

China has upped the ante in its trade dispute with the United States. By allowing the yuan to fall on foreign exchange markets, Beijing has shown how far it will go in response to existing U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods, as well as additional ones now threatened by President Trump. (Today, the White House announced that these new tariffs would go forward as expected on September 1 but delayed levies on certain products, including electronics, until December.) But China’s moves, bold and headline-grabbing as they are, also signal weakness: Beijing can no longer play the tit-for-tat tariff game with which it once engaged the Trump White House.
