Several high-profile Senate Democrats warned the Supreme Court in pointed terms this week that it could face a fundamental restructuring if justices do not take steps to "heal" the court in the near future. The ominous and unusual warning was delivered as part of a brief filed Monday in a case related to a New York City gun law. Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, Richard Durbin, D-Ill., and Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., referenced rulings by the court's conservative majority in claiming it is suffering from some sort of affliction which must be remedied.

There is a reason the Founding Fathers enacted a document with enumerated powers that separated the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches.
Those idiots need to craft language they like and get it passed INSTEAD of using the courts to upend the rule of laws they don't like

Fine. Excellent
START by ruling the infamous Sullivan Law, and every other similar law at any level, to be a violation of the 2nd Amendment, and retroactively null and void.
Good start!
Then confess that Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided, confess the error, and throw it in the garbage.
Good start towards healing the nation, I believe.

The arrogance of the dems is breathtaking. The SCOTUS has equal footing to Congress. It cannot be "restructured" without changing the Constitution. Nor can the Electoral College, or the Election and number of Senators, and lots of other stuff that has been in place for over 200 years and is working well, EXCEPT, for blocking the insane path of the Left.
These people are thugs. They threaten to get their way.
We need to remember this when dealing with dems. They don't deserve our respect or understanding. They are waiting to meet us in a dark alley and club us into submission. We need to be well armed and ready to defend ourselves. They have made it clear they are NOT going to play nice and rules mean nothing to them.

Time for Justice Roberts to repeat his message earlier this year that the Supreme Court isn't a partisan institution.

If the Supreme Court were to say that the Senate must heal and if they did not the court would declare some of their rules unconstitutional, these Senators would cry 'separation of powers' yet they do not hesitate to make threats themselves.
Politicization of the Supreme Court began under Democrats (remember Robert Bork, Clarence Thomas, Bret Kavenaugh, etc.?) and the infringement on legislative power by judicial activist judges.
Democrats have no one but themselves to blame.

If they were choosing the five Senators with the lowest IQ to make this statement they did a fairly good job but several notables were missed.

Lunatics in the Senate. The SCOTUS is an independent branch, and Senators get their ONE AND ONLY shot at them when they are being confirmed. After that, shut the heck up, Senators.

If I were a SCOTUS Justice with a Twitter account, I would send this out to all of these Senators:
Stay in your lane.

Sorry, #7, but the composition of the Court can be changed by congress. The language in the U.S. constitution provides for that.
It is an excellent reason for Republicans to retain majority status in the Congress.

When the Left doesn't win, it doesn't try to find winning ideas. No, it attempts to change the rules to favor its losing ideas.

We do not have a conservative court. Roberts is not a conservative. He proved that by rewriting the Obamacare law and then again when he questioned Trump's intent regarding the census. Not his business to know Trump's intent, just supposed to rule whether it is constitutional which it is.

Don't worry lib senators...A couple more conservative Supreme Court picks by Trump and you will get your coveted restructuring.
Of course we will still have our liberal Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts to contend with.

No, #17, not easily "by Congress", by BOTH of the other two branches, Legislative and Executive agreeing to change it. IF both houses of Congress can overrride a Presidential veto, then, yes, Congress alone can change it.
But NOT the Senate, and not by any ordinary bill passed in Congress unless the President agrees, or they have two thirds. Neither is going to happen any time soon.
And they might not like the snap back from We, the People, if they do it.

I’m sure the Supreme Court Justices are shaking in their robes worrying about the leftist and liberal Democrats taking that court to task.
