On the same day Jeffrey Epstein was arrested on arrival at a New Jersey airport on sex trafficking charges, federal agents bashed in the door of his $77 million Manhattan mansion and seized evidence to aid in his prosecution. (Snip) They scooped up evidence just two days after Epstein was found dead in his jail cell of an apparent suicide while in federal custody in Manhattan. The raid underscores that the criminal investigation into Epstein will continue despite his death while awaiting trial in New York City. Ultimately, prosecutors could expose an alleged sex trafficking conspiracy with tentacles across the financier’s vast real estate holdings,

I was thinking this is where he’s hiding out while nobody has seen the Trivago guy anywhere. Seems he was sacrificed and swapped in for Epstein.

Somehow, that the FBI, responsible for allowing the destruction of all types of evidence in the Hillary email scandal and covering up for her and her cohorts, has the evidence, does not inspire any level of confidence that this case will be properly handled.
Heck, the Feds couldn't even keep him alive...unless they weren't trying.
Sad thing is, I never thought I would ever write that about the once respected FBI.

Two whole days passed between the death and the raid. That's plenty of time for the Clinton cartel to get in there and remove all the "important" names/evidence. With all the names left, well, you played with the cartel, now you reap the reward of holding the bag. The only thing left for the corrupt FBI to do is to remove names/evidence of all their corrupt pals too.

More Kabuki theatre, I'm afraid.
Too little too late.
Come to think of it, that should be the FBI's motto these days...an utterly useless institution.

What took them so long to do it?
Are they gathering or destroying.
They will probably classify anything they find.

It pains me to see the negative comments about the FBI, but they have done this to themselves. Comey will forever be the face of that agency, a smug, arrogant, lying, lawless fool who believes he is above the law and has the power to commit high crimes with utter impunity. I would rather have a bunch of Barney Fife’s on the job than what we have seen at the top. If the boss is corrupt, you know the rank and file are taking his lead. I am done with the old bromide of the rank and file are fine upstanding law enforcement officers. They know the score, they shut up and do what they are told if they know what’s good for them. Where has been the vast number of whistleblowers we have been told that we’re coming forward? Right. They know the battle for the soul of our government is still raging and they are keeping their options open. It is disheartening to watch this agency be exposed for what it is, nothing more than the law enforcement arm of the Deep State and they are no where near giving up their grip on power that they have enjoyed for decades. So many of their people have been exposed for what they are for me to believe that they agency has any intention of cleaning up the corruption that apparently is the grease that makes the wheels turn. So no, I don’t expect anything to come of all the evidence they are destroying, er... collecting. When your agency’s motto is Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity it has to mean something and right now all I see is arrogant criminal corruption at the highest level.

I have never encountered police work like this. All investigations and arrests are coordinated to strike at the the same time so that evidence can't be destroyed once suspects are alerted. I assumed the island was searched at the same time as his arrest. Either gross incompetence is in play or someone was given time to clean up. There was no reason to make an arrest until all the ducks are in a row and the old FBI would have never done that. This too needs a review but as we head into a Banana Republic, I doubt that is in the cards.
