FBI kept using Steele dossier for FISA

The FBI formally documented the anti-Trump bias of British ex-spy Christopher Steele shortly after the November 2016 presidential election -- yet despite the red flags, continued to use his unverified dossier in multiple Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court warrant application renewals, records obtained by Fox News show. The partially redacted documents, first obtained by Judicial Watch, also revealed that top Justice Department official Bruce Ohr maintained contact with Steele for at least six months after Steele was fired by the FBI for unauthorized media contacts in November 2016. The records further confirmed that Ohr knew of Steele's anti-Trump bias before the 2016 election.

I'll be glad when the "tip of the iceberg" is finally melted and the traitors to our laws are finally "perp walked".

FTA: “This new Bruce Ohr FBI 302s show an unprecedented and irregular effort by the FBI, DOJ, and State Department to dig up dirt on President Trump using the conflicted Bruce Ohr, his wife, and the Clinton/DNC spies at Fusion GPS,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement. “The FISA courts weren’t informed of this corrupted process when they were asked to approve and reapprove extraordinary spy warrants targeting President Trump," Fitton added. While AG Barr squanders his time and our money searching for the incredibly obvious “predicate” for the Obama directed attempt to stop candidate Trump from winning in 2016, Judicial Watch is forcing Barr’s DoJ and FBI to release documents detailing the predicate. Weird how the Swamp works when it doesn’t want to enforce our laws against members of the Swamp.

Let me guess...Ohr won't be prosecuted either because the vaulted DOJ couldn't determine his intent (which does not exist in the law) to commit multiple crimes.

The way I understood this, since the dossier was fake, using it to subpoena and interrogate all those people was illegal. I really hope all this is dealt with while Trump is in office. Fake charges make for fake legal action I would think.

A good bit more than two years ago, Rush Limbaugh opined that the FISA warrant was obtained under false premises from the Steele dossier. They are only now discovering the truth of this? Millions of dollars later and not nearly enough dismissals later, they trickle this news out. Despicable government Agencies, despicable judicial system, despicable media.

"Nevertheless, the FISA warrant application went through in October 2016 with multiple renewals. While the FISA records are heavily redacted, it does not appear that the FBI's documentation about Steele's bias was ever shared with the FISA court." The DOJ and FBI have an obligation under the law to reveal exculpatory evidence to the court. Criminal charges already!!!!

The FBI has become a bureaucracy like so many other governmental institutions. Put you time in - get your pension and then get out of there. When someone tells you "There is no such thing as American Excellence.", You know you are talking to a bureaucrat.

President Trump said in a tweet Thursday that he will name Joseph Maguire, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, as the acting director of national intelligence, following his aborted effort to install a political loyalist. Maguire is a retired Navy admiral not steeped in the inner workings of the intelligence community, but his appointment was seen as steadying in the middle of a tumultuous shake-up in the top ranks of the country’s spy agencies. As Trump announced Maguire’s appointment, he also said that Sue Gordon, the deputy director of national intelligence, would resign and not serve in the acting role when director

The Trump administration on Wednesday took a tactical step in its trade confrontation with China, by releasing a rule that restricts government agencies from doing business with Huawei, the giant Chinese maker of telecommunications equipment and smartphones. The prohibition was mandated by Congress as part of a broader defense bill signed into law last year. It covers direct purchases of telecom gear and video surveillance equipment and services. And it extends to other Chinese companies that, like Huawei, have raised security concerns inside the American government, including the telecom equipment maker ZTE and Hikvision, which develops facial-recognition technology.

Russia's defence chiefs have unveiled a new stealth combat drone which they say is capable of flying from Moscow to London and back in a single mission. A Kremlin propaganda video shows the Sukhoi-made Okhotnik, meaning Hunter, on its maiden 20-minute flight. A special coating makes the unmanned flying vehicle 'almost undetectable', the Russian military claims. The new gadget looks similar to a U.S. Air Force drone manufactured by Lockheed Martin which was introduced as long ago as 2007. However, it is considered a breakthrough in Russia compared to the unmanned aerial vehicles which Moscow has previously developed.

August 10, 1969: SAN CLEMENTE, Calif.—President Nixon accused his predecessor Lyndon Baines Johnson of complicity in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Speaking with reporters on the first day of a 10-day stay at his Pacific Ocean vacation home …. Of course, that never happened. Obviously. How could it, how dare it?
