After President Donald Trump drew attention to Baltimore, some of his supporters went down to West Baltimore to assist with a cleanup effort. The group posted pictures of the effort with before and after photos and found some interesting things along the way.
According to OANN, the group was led by activist Scott Presler, who lead over 100 volunteers after the controversy first arose in the media. Presler said his cleanup effort started with a simple tweet about going to clean up Baltimore, even if it’s just by himself.

It is gratifying to know that the Baltimore Sun and WBAL-Baltimore carried the inspiring story. Will it make the national media, or is it too far off the liberal narrative?

There’s literally not one thing stopping Baltimore’s residents from doing this themselves.
I remember seeing a newscast several years ago. It was of the fridge in the office of government workers. It was covered in mold and pretty dang disgusting. The story was how the mayors office didn’t care or some such. What stopped the employees from cleaning it up themselves? Probably the same thing that stops Baltimore’s residents. Too many years of laziness and thinking the government should fix it.

After an Antifa or BLM or Pussy Hat demonstration occurs, what does the area in which it occurs look like? Ask that question about a TEA Party gathering or Trump rally. How do they differ? Hmmm?

This is how it's done. President Trump identifies a problem and we, his supporters GO THERE and help. It's kind of like the Cajun Navy who showed up in NJ after hurricane Sandy. You kill racism by being there to help in any way you can. God Bless Americans.

Heartwarming. Makes me smile.
While I am sure some are very able bodied (it looked like some of those folks helping were from the neighborhood), some are elderly and really are stuck. Not everyone has the funds to get piles of trash bags, rubber gloves, lawn equipment, rent trucks or trailers and the gas to power them to do that kind of work. One of my first thoughts when I saw the pictures some good folks with all that stuff laying around who live near that area will get together, go to those neighborhoods, and enlist the help of the folks living there to make a real difference. I know around here that would be the response. And I was right. God bless them all!!

Of course its racist. Because racists cant stand seeing trash strewn rat infested minority communities. Clean them up and they can pretend they are white communities. /S/
Or...........its just a bunch of white supremacists trying to deflect the criticisms.....because they wont be there next week and the following weeks continuing to clean it up.
Trust me.......leftists wont give them any credit.

The residents were just waiting for somebody else to do it for them. They thought almighty government would do it. My guess is that the area that was cleaned up will be filled with trash again within days. In fact, I'll bet trash has already been dumped there. An empty alley is just a place to dump more trash.

If any you have read Booker T. Washington's biography you will recall that when rather young he had been a hired boy for a New England woman - the wife of the mine foreman in his West Virginian town. Washington was desperate to go to school - he had to save $$ for the train ride - so that he stuck to that job - even tho' many youngsters had quit or been fired by this lady. She trained him to clean to stricter standards of cleanliness - which he never forgot. He said he could not walk down a street without wanting to pick up the trash. #8 You may be right. We lived in such a neighborhood 30 years ago. It was not as bad as Baltimore but it was mostly rentals of 70 year old houses. We had a little gang that cleaned up the alleys on a few Saturdays one summer. I recall quite clearly as we were working, a young woman just sat on her back porch watching us with such a look on her face. I really had no idea what she was thinking because she did not say a word to us - but I do suspect she thought us a bunch of fools. However - this was a wonderful gesture - many of these folks are older or disabled, and many are untrained & not encouraged to step up to take care of those things they CAN change - like right in their own yards.

Great work. Now it's time to continue the bond and get these people to register republican. Republicans need to make a presence there for the 2020 elections. I know it's a long shot but I would try like hell to get those democrats out of Baltimore.

#10 - I think I read, in a comment or something, that there is some problem with trash pick-up. Maybe not enough or whatever. Trump's people should follow up on that,. and straighten out problem. There will always be lazy people in any neighborhood, but there will be plenty others who want their neighborhood to be clean and safe. Like Rudy Guiliani in New York. He started repairing the broken windows or something. Start small and people will follow because it makes them happy.

Not a word said anywhere about the humans creating the trash dumps in their yards. No accountability. No personal responsibility. Are we supposed to feel sorry for them?

I just clicked over to https://www.baltimoresun.com/ to see what the ''largest'' local paper was highlighting. Nary a word about the clean-up project. Go figure.

What a wonderful and kind thing to do. Thanks to those who took it upon themselves to do this.
Trump has said some things that are incredibly inartful but is not a white supremacist or a racist.
Some of us former Marines really appreciate "inartful." Kinda leaves the Beltway candy-a** BS of the bedwetters and the nation's snowflakes and allows truth to shoot through it all.

They didn't use one dime of Cummings $1.6 billion to do it. Too hard to reach in some Cayman Islands bank. When is this pig and his thieving wife going to be arrested for theft and fraud? They are going to call Trump a racist anyway, why not earn the title?

100+ volunteers cleaned up the mess in a matter of days, but the Baltimore politicians failed to accomplish this after getting billions of dollars. What does this say about the Baltimore politicians?

I'm mighty proud of these fellow Trump supporters! It shows what we are really made of...completely opposite of the way liberal/socialist Democrats paint us.

My husband worked for Waste Management, which has a contract with our city. If an address didn't have an active (paying) account, they didn't pick up trash at that address. I don't know if Baltimore has that kind of contracted trash pickup, but how many absentee building owners would be paying for trash pickup? They certainly aren't paying for water service at an empty building.
