Three months after Virginia Beach, six months after Aurora, nine months after Thousand Oaks, 10 months after Tree of Life, 15 months after Santa Fe High School, 18 months after Parkland and in the wake of larger horrors like the Vegas concert and Pulse nightclub massacres. “God bless the people of El Paso, Texas. Yeah, I say take action means rescind the unconstitutional GCA of 1968 and NFA of 1934 and 1986. Stop the government from unconstitutionally harassing citizens exercising their natural rights, one of which the government (at all levels) is strictly prohibited from infringing. Stop play defense. Take back our eroded rights!

Fox News Channel just had an apparent Muslim guy on TV who wrote this editorial. He really did not define what an assault weapon is, other than it is a semi-automatic firearm that will take a high capacity magazine. His definition would include just about all modern handguns, rifles, and shotguns in routine use all across America.

Best I can tell is the most effective step we can take is to prohibit democrats from having any type of firearm.

The media is more dangerous than guns. Those who say that all rights have limitations (like the former pol from S. Carolina) should make it clear that the media is not an exception! Any media with a record of lies, misrepresentation, and obvious political bias in news stories (not op-ed) should be sanctioned in such a way that they are no longer a threat to the citizens!

We're always told that when the founding fathers wrote the 2nd amendment, they didn't envision semi-automatic or high capacity weapons, so they should be banned. The founders also didn't envision pornography, violent movies and video games when they wrote the 1st amendment, so maybe we should think about banning some of those things. And I'm almost sure they didn't envision life long career politicians becoming millionaires off the backs of the citizens, so let's look at term limits.

First they are NOT assault they are semi automatic weapons. Second, I prefer a Glock, the heavier rifles are very cumbersome. If I have to pull my Glock to defend I can easily take out any gun nut. Thanks for the advice!

Why isn’t the Post commenting about all the gun shootings in Chicago where they have some of the strictest gun laws in the country? How is that working out for th m? I’ll bet Venezuelans are wishing they hadn’t given up their guns.

John Solomon recently broke the news that former FBI director James Comey will soon face a “reckoning” for leaking memos of his conversations with the president. Solomon means Comey will be embarrassed by an imminent inspector general report containing stern language. Solomon does not mean that Comey will face any legal consequences, however, because “prosecutors working for Attorney General William Barr reportedly have decided to decline prosecution.” Many recognize Comey as a central figure in the Russia collusion hoax, the U.S. Department of Justice’s interference in the 2016 election, and subsequent resistance to the transfer of power to President Trump. It’s frustrating for knowledgeable observers to see Comey’s elite status

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler asked the National Archives Tuesday to provide his committee records related to Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh’s time working in the White House for President George W. Bush. The move gives House Democrats a chance to relitigate the partisan confirmation battle through the committee’s oversight efforts. The New York Democrat said the Senate Judiciary Committee failed to review documents from Justice Kavanaugh’s time as a staff secretary in the White House from 2003 to 2006. Former Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley, Iowa Republican, had requested documents related to Justice Kavanaugh’s work in the White House Counsel’s office from 2001 to 2003.

America desperately needs to have a conversation, and it’s very different than the one we have been having when reflecting on mass murders. Despite the hysteria that these events cause, there is no significant upwards trend. (snip) There are five stages that culminate in a perfect storm that leads to individuals committing these massacres (also known as the Levin & Madfis model). This is gravely important for our society to know, as identifying these factors can lead to prevention of these atrocities.

When it comes to gun control, conservatives have been fortunate in their enemies. Every time there is a mass shooting, the left renews its calls for gun control, but it spends a great deal of energy on futile and ahistorical arguments about the wording of the Second Amendment, or making hackle-raising, invidious comparisons with Europe. And when it comes time to actually suggest what should be done, Democrats generally suggest policies recycled from the 1994 crime bill, such as background checks and a ban on assault weapons. There’s little evidence that these policies did anything to curb gun violence the first time
