Jeffrey Epstein, the man dubbed the "Palm Beach Pervert," by Forbes in 2011, is now in jail awaiting trial for running a child-sex racket. Up until now, he's always dodged trouble, but now he's under intense scrutiny by both the press and prosecutors. The idea, of course, was to pin Epstein to Trump, now that the Russia collusion narrative has collapsed.
But then there was that intriguing statement by Nancy Pelosi's daughter, that a lot of Democrat "faves" might be going down. Remember this from the Washington Examiner?
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s daughter said that some favorite figures of

According to a complaint to the National Labor Relations Board filed July 19, the Bernie Sanders campaign is behaving like a ruthless anti-union corporation of labor history lore. Bloomberg reports:
Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-Vt.) 2020 presidential campaign has been hit with an unfair labor practice complaint alleging illegal employee interrogation and retaliation against staffers. The July 19 complaint to the National Labor Relations Board, filed by an unnamed individual in Indiana, was posted to the agency’s website late July 22. It comes as tense negotiations

The face of the global warming scare was once that of Al Gore. Now that face belongs to a 16-year-old girl who’s being treated as a prophetess. It’s hard to conceive of a world gone more mad.
Greta Thunberg has been thrust into the spotlight, tagged as the child who will lead us away from our inevitable climate disaster — if only we let her. Adults hang on her words, regard her as an omniscient oracle, insist that we are in the presence of our savior.
Thunberg’s “voice lets us know we’re in disavowal, and that we’d better wake up.

It doesn't get worse for a leftist when even CNN is warning that your 'economic solution' to the economic problems you've laid out are going to destroy the economy.
Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren came out with a big, serious-looking economic plan intoning about a coming economic crash, her own supposed ability to forecast such things, and then calling for free college, a soaring minimum wage, more Dodd-Frank regulations on big bad banks, and lots of free stuff. It ran at the top of the screen on RealClearPolitics

For all of Donald Trump’s moral flaws – the women, the profanities, the routine personal insults, the continual unpresidential conduct – he has raised the moral bar in one all-important area: This president has kept a great many of his promises (even if that wall is nowhere near to being built). And this outsized fact will be a huge advantage next year against whichever conventional politician wins the Democratic nomination.
CNN’s decision not to allow any “raise your hand” questions in the Democrat candidates’ next round of debates, which the cable news channel will telecast on July 30 and 31 from Detroit, is first and foremost an example

So guess what just went out the window when Venezuelan jet interfered in an unsafe manner with U.S. fighters over the Caribbean Friday?
Try the canard that Russia really wants President Trump to win the election. That's been the narrative since the end of 2016 - and has continued well into this year.
Here is what is being tweeted now from the U.S. Southern Command: O.K., the first thought that came to mind is perhaps some surprise that Venezuela even has gas for jets at all, or working jets, given the country's lack of spare parts.
But oh, those Russian advisors have been busy, arriving like the cavalry when

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, for decades an agitator for a government-forced minimum/living wage, announced over the weekend that his campaign’s wage floor will be increased to $15 an hour. To make it work, workers’ hours will be cut. Did he just take the minimum wage issue off the table for Democrats?
In 1986, known then as the “socialist mayor of Burlington,” Vermont, Sanders campaigned on raising the state’s minimum wage while running for governor.
During one of his runs for the U.S. Senate, where he is serving his third term,

Most of the Jewish community has feverishly and piously supported last week’s Democrat-sponsored Resolution condemning President Trump’s remarks against Ilhan Omar. Omar, of course, is a notorious, unrepentant anti-Semite and daily demonizer of Israel. But she has become, for many Jews, a heroine, a civil rights star, a noble cause. Enjoying such support, Omar rewarded the Jewish community by immediately announcing, after the Resolution’s passage, a piece of legislation demanding that Congress vote in favor of BDS against Israel and her Jewish inhabitants.

The British Broadcasting Corporation has been living off its reputation, hard-won in World War II, for the better part of a century. While the government corporation is still able to produce compelling costume dramas and other fiction with good results, its news operations consistently are hostile to Israel, and soft on Muslims.
The latest example is startling, and cimes from – of all places -- the Huffington Post and progressive Muslim writer Yashar Ali:

Miami Herald columnist Andres Oppenheimer, a liberal, has noticed something wimpy going on about Pope Francis and Venezuela:
Venezuela’s Conference of Bishops has released a bombshell statement demanding an immediate end of dictator Nicolás Maduro’s “illegitimate and failed government.” So why isn’t Pope Francis saying anything even close to that?
Venezuela's bishops put out a fiery statement blasting the brutal, illegitimate Maduro dictatorship, calling for its extinction. Oppenheimer then asks:
So what did the pope say after the bishops’ statement? Instead of echoing their demand that Maduro leave office,

It is no coincidence that the streets of Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle are full of homeless people, shooting up drugs and discarding their needles on the sidewalks, defecating and urinating wherever they happen to be standing, sitting, or squatting, and accosting passers-by demanding money. The left-wing politicians and their voters tolerate and subsidize this behavior, so they attract people who want to live this way in growing numbers.
As the old saying puts it, there’s an easy way and a hard way to solve this problem. And a problem it is, because of the settled science

Is the Democratic wall of craziness starting to crack?
Arizona's Democratic Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, of all people, the former Code Pinker in the tutu, has come up with a sensible, bipartisan immigration proposal for ending asylum abuse, a proposal so good any Republican can support it.
According to National Review:
Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D., Ariz.) has joined a bipartisan group of nine colleagues proposing a pilot program that would expedite the deportation of migrants who make invalid asylum claims.
The senators outlined the Operation Safe Return program, which would allow the deportation of migrants within 15 days
