LONDON — Boris Johnson, the far-ahead front-runner to become Britain’s prime minister this week, waved a vacuum-packed fish over his head and railed at the European Union.
A kipper smoker on the Isle of Man, Johnson said Wednesday, “has had his costs massively increased by Brussels bureaucrats who have insisted that each herring fillet must be accompanied by” — he paused to reach for another prop — “a plastic ice pillow! Pointless, expensive, environmentally damaging, health and safety.”
The audience roared. Johnson, populist charmer, always gets a laugh.

I admit I haven't been too favorably impressed with Boris, But if the Washington Post doesn't like him, he must not be all that bad.

A hit piece on a former hack, written by two liberal hacks. I’d give B.J. a generous benefit of the doubt.

Oh, of course. Time for the WAPO, a wing of the EU, to check in on Boris.

Visual aids are very effective. While I don’t know a whole lot about Boris Johnson, if he is against the EU and in favor of British sovereignty, he can’t be all bad. Great Britain has some very serious problems, and if they don’t get a handle on their Muslim bullies and their anti-British sentiment, their awful politically correct elites, and many other negative issues they have allowed take hold, they are toast. The country who looked Nazi Germany in the eye and didn’t blink will be gone forever. Liberalism in all its forms is killing a once great country. Johnson has a Herculean task if he can pull the country back from the brink. It’s up to the British people to decide to either surrender to liberalism or take up the fight against it.

Considering the rag making the charge, I feel much better about Boris Johnson. The Washington Post only attacks enemies of Socialism and Globalism.
Their enemy is likely to be my friend.

The Washington Post sounds like the mean girls club, and has even less credibility. Give Boris Johnson the benefit of a doubt.

WaPo, which does not have the guts to report on the misdeeds of Ilhan Omar and family, goes after Boris Johnson? What a joke WaPo has become!

Goodness- 1,626 words to say they do not like the man and specify why they do not like him. Yet, if you read the article, the main reasons the elites at the Washington Post do not like him are the very reasons most people like him! Margaret Thatcher considered him her favorite commentator. That's good enough for me. And I suspect it is the primary reason the snobbish anti-Brexit hoiti-toitis despise him. Make Britain Great Again!

Boris did a decent job as Mayor of London, especially when compared to his incompetent successor. I have confidence he'll be a fine Prime Minister, especially when compared to the incompetent silly goose he'll be succeeding. Which explains why limp-wristed libtards like WaPo fear him..

When the Post publishes a screed like this, I'll take it as an endorsement of Mr Mr Johnson as Prime Minister.

Mr. Johnson is a fascinating man and I find videos of his presentations and interviews both enlightening and entertaining. But he actually does have a record that includes abandoning his mission when he could have been very helpful. I hope he has "grown up." Britain deserves a Boris Johnson who will stay with the program when the going gets tough. There is enough history for me to remain cautious.

The same could have been said of Sir Winston Churchill,he of the American mom,who reported on the Boer War.
That Boris was born in America speaks well that Britain should have another American linked PM.

I think they said the same this about Trump. Career politicians go us into this mess, hacks might get us out of it.

WaPo using reverse psychology...they know Boris is a globalist at heart.
Reminds me of the Kavanaugh 'set-up' we experienced last year.
