Pelosi vs. AOC: It's a Beautiful Thing

Original Article

I've often wondered whether the internal contradictions of leftist ideology would eventually cause leftists to turn on one another. Perhaps we're catching a glimpse of that in the feud between Nancy Pelosi and the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez quartet. Everything about modern leftist ideology is extreme. It is extreme in substance, and its practitioners are self-absorbed, sanctimonious, uncompromising and often irrational. Intersectionality zealots are disciplining white feminists for their selfish advocacy. Biological males are dominating female athletic events courtesy of the transgender movement. Leftists of color and female gender are dissing old white men despite the men's long records of dedication to the sacred cause of progressivism.

Some of us have been wondering when competing leftist causes would start interfering with each other. That's happening now, and that's entertainment.

When you believe that the Founders were oppressive white supremacists but Karl Marx had some great ideas, that flooding the border with criminals, drugs and terrorists is a smart political strategy, that colluding with an utterly corrupt media to place virulent anti-Americans in the Oval Office is so very clever, that turning minorities into your "victim" slaves makes you feel good about yourself, and that your TDS mental illness excuses any lies you tell and all crimes you commit - then it doesn't matter if you're the new young wave or the tired old guard: you're still 100% a Democrat.

So much of today's Leftists nonsense was so well addressed in satire in The Life of Brian. What we're watching this week is the People's Front of Judea battling it out with the Judean People's Front.

Unstoppable force (AOC) meet immovable object (Pelosi).. It was inevitable, unless the Party was going to go full bat-st crazy and drop the mast of being mainstream. Hillary is actually the one who first properly dislodged the mast (only one of many really who did it). You take a look at her campaign 'gatherings' v. Trump's massive "Munich" mobs. It was almost laughable! That made me quit worrying about who was going to win 2016. I knew the schism had begun within the Democrat's lair. They had finally reached critical mass and were imploding. But, this Pelosi/AOC match is delicious in so many other ways. First- it is in plain sight. You canhear it, feel it, and breath it. Pelosi had no idea what to do with such a little monster running amok in her living room. How do you discipline the very thing you created and admired from a distance all these years? So long as the AOCs were thumping people with lock and chains in the streets of Seattle and Portland- fine. So long as the AOCs were dumping conservative's soup in their laps at fancy restaurants and screaming one their lawns at 3 am or shooting them in ball parks- fine. But, now AOC and friends are right there in Nannie's delicate front room, pushing over her Ming vases and playing ten -pens with her expensive crystal, carving initials in her japanned teak 18th century end tables it is a different story. And the best part is, Nan has not one to help her bring the little buggers to task. Nancy's sycophants in congress, even the ones in the media, run from the AOC mobsters like they had a bad case of crabs. And this is only going to get worse. Nancy no longer controls the drama...and the AOCs do not give a rat's patootie about the election. All they care about is cutting pretty butterflies out of the Persian rugs. And Nana nancy has only herself and her ever growing, persistent liberal crazy ideology to blame.

AOC is not running anything. Her Chief of Staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, the man who auditioned her and chose her as the Dem candidate to run in the Bronx, is the power behind AOC's office. He writes her scripts, pushes the Marxist agenda, wrote the "Green New Deal", and is seeking absolute power in the RAT party. Nancy had better watch her back with him and his co-horts in the 'Brand New Congress'. From the Wash Compost, "Under the auspices of a new group, Justice Democrats, also co-founded by Chakrabarti, they endorsed dozens more, including progressive winners such as Reps. Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Ayanna Pressley (Mass.) and Rashida Tlaib (Mich.)."

I have always wondered why Pelousy is in a position of leadership. Even before her more recent speech troubles, she sounded clueless and arrogant. This just ARE the way I say they are. Every now and then a reporter would wander off the reservation and ask a probing question. Nancy's came back with a nasty, how dare you, kind of response. Now Nancy is facing a group of Leftists who are every bit as nasty as she is and it is telling. She doesn't have control. She has stifled Nadler or at least the media that talks about him. She has said that the Mueller testimony should be subdued and without drama. She has control of the old white boy dems. But the nasty girls? Obviously not. Karma!

Never interfere with your enemy when he is destroying himself (or herself), a variation on Napoleon's saying. I hope that Pelosi is enjoying the fight with one of her sides evil little propagandized harpies. The left is founded by cynical political leaders who use leftist ideals as bait to fool the lazy folks into supporting them. This first and usually the second generation of Communist/socialist revolutionaries understand that only the useful idiots actually believe "that cr*p". But, after a while, the hard working, committed, fully indoctrinated true believers begin to arise, raised in the Communist/sociaist indoctrination camps, not knowing that the Communist/socialist story is just a trap to obtain power, not something that could actually work. THEY ACTUALLY BELIEVE IT, and are infinitely dangerous to their system. I think Gorbachev was the first top leader of the Soviets who was a true believer. And the harder he tried to "make it work" the tighter the death spiral became. Gorbachev finished off the Soviet Union by diligently, relentlessly applying "the best Communist principles" which he believed were delivered truths. AOC and her ilk are the Gorbachev's for the Dems, blind, dedicated, indoctrinated, continuously working hard and fully committed true believers. They will wreck everything for the left, like Gorbachev did - by honestly, fervently working to "make it all work properly" - because the don't know it is all a lie. This should be fun to watch.

Pelosi is sucking on her dentures and is going to lose to the little monster the media has created. It's nice to see the same words Pelosi used on the President used on her by the 'brown skinned mob' freshmen. Somebody better tell Nancy that she's no longer driving the bus careening toward communism. Pelosi might have admired the 'spunk' of the freshmen in 2018 but the dividends are now being paid to her by the bucket loads.

ST. PETERSBURG – Jim Bouton, pitcher, author, all-time baseball rebel, died Wednesday. He was 80. My bookshelves contain his masterpiece, between the Baseball Encyclopedia and The Boys of Summer, Roger Kahn’s moving elegy to the Brooklyn Dodgers. Ball Four. Bouton’s tell-all baseball memoir, published in 1970, remains the most important sports book ever written. It was one reason why I wanted to become a writer. It was so alive, full of insight and insanity — and fun. God, it was fun. I remember speaking to Bouton in 1998, when he had been invited back to Old Timers Day at Yankee Stadium. “The Bulldog,” who won 21 games for the Yankees

In Florida, the land of flowers, no bloom is more famous than the rare and bewitching ghost orchid, featured in both the bestselling book The Orchid Thief by Susan Orlean and the movie Adaptation, starring Meryl Streep and Chris Cooper. Most of the year the ghost orchid looks like a green lump on the side of a tree. But when it blooms, the flower "resembles the ghoulish ghost of a frog leaping in mid-air," one orchid expert wrote. "Should one be lucky enough to see a flower, all else will seem eclipsed." No more than about 2,000 of them remain in Florida, mostly in Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park, Audubon's

In his article in the New Republic Warren Breckman described liberalism as a moral condition, a state of behavior and mind. He quotes a 1920s contributor to the same magazine, John Dewey, who argued there were 'two streams' of liberalism "one was anchored in laissez-faire economics, worshipped the 'gospel of individualism,' and served as a toady of big industry and banking. The other was humanitarian and open to government interventions and social legislation" But the true American liberalism, wrote Dewey, stood for “liberality and generosity, especially of mind and character.” "For almost two millennia, [Helena] Rosenblatt contends, being liberal meant displaying the civic virtues.

This paper by Mark Mills of the the Manhattan Institute and Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science, titled “The ‘New Energy Economy’: An Exercise in Magical Thinking,” does an excellent job of explaining why wind and solar energy will never replace fossil fuels or nuclear energy as a primary energy source. The problem is fundamental: the laws of physics. And, no, better batteries are not a solution. I really urge you to read the whole thing: * Solar technologies have improved greatly and will continue to become cheaper and more efficient. But the era of 10-fold gains is over. The biggest split in foreign policy circles isn’t over Iran or Israel. Virtually all foreign policy professionals oppose Israel and support some sort of arrangement with Iran. The real split is over Qatar. The tiny Islamist country is both a major state sponsor of terrorist groups, especially those aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood, and has wormed its way deep into the political establishment in this country. Qatar’s dark side aligns it with Hamas, Iran and Al Qaeda on one side, and the Brookings Institute, the Washington Post, and D.C. lobbyists on the other. Its hackers target political opponents in the United States and feed the results to major media outlets.

Despite warnings from practically everyone, five Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps gunboats tried to seize a British oil tanker in the Persian Gulf Wednesday. They apparently backed off only when they realized the Brits were serious about defending themselves and had no interest in being held hostage, a standard Iranian tactic. Good for them. The Iranians have been acting out quite a bit lately, testing the limits of our tolerance for violence and breaking the nuclear strictures (assuming there really were any) of the JCPOA, aka the Iran Deal. That deal was always an extreme head-scratcher, that the agreement prevents entry to Iranian military installations

Commenting on Rush Limbaugh’s passionate denunciation of the spirit of anti-American leftism that is destroying the country, Lloyd Marcus, who blogs at The Unhyphenated American, agrees that the time has come to say “No!” He concludes, with Limbaugh, “It is time that we take action to take back our country. It is time that we say no to anti-American traitors and anti-biblical cultural assassins.” This is a sentiment that cannot honorably be refuted. The problem is trying to decide what saying “No!” actually means. Merely saying “No!” is obviously a futile gesture and will produce little to nothing in the way of results. The question is

That is a question that often occurs to me when I watch the Democrats’ anti-American hate-fest. (No, this post isn’t about the media’s slavering homage to Megan Rapinoe, but it could be.) The Southern border is a litmus test: do they believe that the United States has a right to exist as a sovereign nation, or don’t they? For many Democrats, the answer evidently is No. That goes for all of the Democratic presidential contenders: I believe all of them have signed on to the notion of free medical care (along with many other welfare benefits, of course) for illegal aliens. This isn’t exactly treason
