Mystery Around Jeffrey Epstein's

In a neighborhood of millionaires and billionaires, close to New York’s famous Museum Mile, two initials discreetly adorn the entrance of one of the city’s most opulent mansions: J.E. The letters stand for Jeffrey Epstein, the self-described “collector’’ of rich and powerful men, who has been accused of sexually assaulting girls inside the luxurious Manhattan home. On Monday, as federal prosecutors unsealed new charges claiming Epstein ran a sex-trafficking ring that lured dozens of young women to the house, its heavy wood doors bore crowbar marks -- evidence of how authorities forced their way in over the sultry Fourth of July weekend. Prosecutors say they discovered hundreds, possibly thousands

#2, at least a teaching gig put him in the proximity of very young girls. My observation is that when you cannot explain the source of a person's wealth, there is a good chance that illegal activity is involved.

Epstein was an uneducated pervert who had people skills. He was spotted by someone with very deep pockets who wanted to own politicians. When one is capable of running in the fast lane, he can give powerful people what they desire, and then you can own them.

The Charges only carry a 45 year sentence because they are not charging him with Traveling Internationally to have Sex with Minors. Traveling to have sex with minors carries a longer sentence than having sex with minors. His teaching history was at a k-12 school. I wonder what the 12 year old girls there thought of him?

Reading between the lines, it looks like Epstein may have been procuring girls for his wealthy clientele. "Financier to billionaires" sounds more like a nice way of saying that he got these guys whatever they wanted and they paid him handsomely to do so, which may explain how he got off so light in Florida as he wasn't the real criminal but the gopher for some very prominent people. The movie Taken comes to mind.

The myth that you have to graduate college to be exceptionally smart and successful is even less true today than it was in the seventies. Making the money is of less interest than what Epstein did with it. Everything from psychology to finance is a closed loop system with mandatory education and documentation because those with more time than intelligence have rigged it so you must pass GO to collect your $200. Epstein apparently had the smarts to make it independently of the rules so he lived his life that way too. Breaking the age of consent rule is what nailed him when he could have had women by the thousands the legal way.

#2, it used to be that solid knowledge of the subject matter to be taught was the requirement for a teaching position. So if Epstein knew calculus very well and possessed a decent ability to communiate that knowledge to his students, that's his credential. Nowadays, it's the paper credentials that matter- a BA in Education, for example, along with a teaching certificate. With those in hand you can pretty much fake it if you don't have a strong grasp of the subject you're hired to teach. And this is one of several reasons why our education system is failing its charges.

Beyond the humanitarian and security catastrophe unfolding at the southern border, there is a another crisis few know about. Migrants have been the focus of the border crisis for months, and with good reason. More than 700,000 people have been taken into custody by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel at and between ports of entry in the first nine months of fiscal 2019, more than the previous 12 months. But less visible are the 14,750 rank-and-file U.S. Border Patrol agents who are forbidden from speaking with the media. They make up around 75% of the 19,500 agents on payroll as of late June, according

Two-thirds of voters approve of a citizenship question on the 2020 census, and that includes a majority of Hispanic voters — despite claims by Democratic lawmakers that the inquiry would discourage participation in Latino communities. A Harvard University Center for American Political Studies/Harris poll found that 67% of all registered U.S. voters say the census should ask the citizenship question when the time comes. That includes 88% of Republicans, 63% of independents and 52% of Democrats. Most notably, the poll found that 55% of Hispanic voters favor the idea. Also in agreement: 74% of rural voters, 59% of black voters, 58% of urban voters and 47% of voters

NEW ORLEANS — A panel of federal appeals judges aggressively questioned whether Obamacare can survive during Tuesday afternoon oral arguments in a case that could upend the 2010 health care law. Two Republican appointees on the three-judge panel frequently interrupted attorneys to question whether the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate is unconstitutional and if not whether the entire law could stand without it. The ACA’s future appeared murky after two hours of oral arguments at the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, but it’s not clear if the judges were ready to uphold a federal judge’s earlier decision invalidating the law.

Hidden behind a wall of secrecy is the truth about what really happened during the FBI and CIA’s joint investigation of the Trump campaign and Russia in 2016. Was it, as former President Barack Obama’s top cop and spy insist, an honest national security probe? Or was it, as Republicans suspect, a domestic political intelligence operation to “dirty up” then-candidate Donald Trump? Attorney General William Barr doesn’t buy the Team Obama story and is investigating the investigation. Special counsel Robert Mueller’s failure to find evidence of “collusion” bolsters Barr’s hunch. Trump’s granted Barr the rare unilateral power to

Is it true that Obama’s ancestors owned slaves? It is — more than one ancestor, in fact. It may also be true, though, that not only was Obama descended from American slaves, he was descended from the first American slave. Friday’s June jobs report, with its expectations-shattering gain of 224,000 net jobs (including 17,000 manufacturing jobs) and its 4% unemployment rate (effectively full employment), reinforces what was already popularly understood about the Trump-era economy. Unemployment is historically low. Job creation is historically strong. Wages continue rising under Trump after a long period of stagnation under predecessors of both parties. You have to give the man credit — or so you’d think. Dozens of Democrats running for president beg to differ, but they also lack adequate excuses for how all this prosperity came about if President Trump’s presidency is really the disaster they claim it is. The few sane Democrats still left in Washington are starting to sweat. Former Vice President Joseph R.
