EL PASO, Texas- Beto O’Rourke was running for the El Paso City Council in 2005 when he asked to meet with the illustrious real estate investor William Sanders.
Sanders had earned a fortune and a reputation as a brilliant businessman in Chicago before returning to his remote hometown on the West Texas-Mexico border. He thought the aspiring politician was there to solicit a donation.
But O’Rourke was seeking permission to marry Sanders’ daughter Amy, whom he’d met less than three months before.
“I sat down with him in his office and he was kind of an imposing figure and I was very nervous,” O’Rourke said in a phone interview. After he asked

You would have thought some of his father in law's business acumen would have rubbed off on Beto. I wonder what Sanders thinks of his jerky son in law?

An interesting little tidbit, O'Rourke's mother dated William Sanders once in 1970. They were on a double date and O'Rourke's mother fell for the guy who was with the other woman. They were married a year after they met.
Nothing scandalous just kind of funny how life works out sometimes.

In Beto's Wiki page is this gem, right near the top:
"His father served in public office in El Paso as County Commissioner and County Judge.[a][1] Pat O'Rourke was an associate of Texas Governor Mark White[21] and served as the state chairman of Jesse Jackson's 1984 and 1988 presidential campaigns[22] before switching parties in the early 1990s and running several unsuccessful bids for office as a Republican."
So O'Rourke's own father, a county judge no less, and a friend of the good Rev, decided two decades ago to leave his (probably) ancestral party behind. I wonder what caused that, and what effect it had on the young Bob O'Rourke?

The article points out how both of them are in favor of open borders, but for different reasons: "social versus economic". Meaning that moneybags Sanders wants an endless supply of cheap third world labor to exploit and undercut middle class American wages, while Beta wants an unmanageable influx of potential welfare recipients to flood and collapse the American system so socialism can be implemented.

Beto just comes across as a Hustler. He knew exactly what he was doing when going after the Richest girl in Town. Three months later marrying her! HA! If I had been her father, I would have run him out of town on a Rail! He hustled his way into a Rich family, is living the good life off of his Wife's money and her daddy is paying his way into politics! What a Guy! We used to call them Grifters! I don't think he's going anywhere!

"Career"?
Who knew that this slug had any sort of anything that could be identified as a "career", other than skateboarding and jumping on tables?

BUTO is a low life, look at his plan...he worked very hard to become relevant. This idiot of a Father in law should have smelled this coming!

The father-in-law has a lot more money than sense then if he's funding Bobby Frank's political ambitions.

What is so "complicated" about a skateboarding airhead who has no idea what real work is? I could walk downtown anywhere in this country and find a clueless teenager with hair in his eyes, defacing railings and sidewalks and risking his bones and family jewels attempting stupid stunts on a skateboard and occasionally sneaking off behind a tree to smoke another joint. The Irish Hispanic is not a novelty he is a boring example of our steadily declining, wasted younger generation. He may receive the attention of those like him on our college campuses but those people are just as much a waste of oxygen as Beto is.

Beto is an idiot created by his father-in-law and the media. The only things that Beto appears to be good at is marrying well (aka John Kerry), giving non-answer answers, and waving his hands and arms around while talking like he is swatting insects away.
