It was excellent. Even CNN, in a report to which Jim Acosta contributed, couldn’t find fault with anything Trump said, although it took the obligatory shots at the event itself. CNN acknowledged that Trump’s speech was not political, but rather “a message of national pride.”
Unfortunately, the matter of national pride has become political. But there was nothing in the speech that anyone would have found objectionable before left-liberals rejected the notion of pride in America. There was nothing in the speech that any patriotic American rationally can find objectionable today. You have to dislike America to dislike what Trump said to the crowd on the Mall.

The enemies of the People were all at a cocktail party telling themselves how much we all hate Trump and that this time... THIS time, Trump has gone too far.

Will be eager to hear the ratings. Must have gone through the roof if all those CNN, ABC, MSNBC, CBS, NBC sour grapes people had no choice but to contribute to Fox ratings.

The Enimedia and Fake News Networks have self identified themselves all over again. They are too wicked to be embarrassed at how far they have sunk. Even now Socialists, progressives and liberals must be asking why they share the blame for this shunning of America and all the good it stands for. And all this on the Fourth of July.

Trump has made several presidential speeches that have been exceedingly high quality, uplifting, noteworthy even by his opponents, at least by the ones not totally lost to TDS and hatred. This shows a characteristic of which you could ask little more of any president. He and his speech staff KNOW how to craft an excellent message and Trump delivers masterfully.
Remember this when someone suggests that Trump is not "presidential" enough. Then remember the actions of his opponents; their snarky attitude, their mangled speeches, their lack of rational thought, their willingness to demean their country as "never that great" to attack Trump.
We are facing a clear choice in 2020 between a highly competent and successful leader who clearly loves this great Country and wishes her and ALL her people well vs. a group of leaders and people who despise this Country and much of her People and want to turn it into something that is based on envy, greed, and hatred and failed political philosophies.

Spectacular evening!! When they Fly Over's started, timed to the Military Music, I had Goosey Bumps on my Arms. It was wonderful. Trump doesn't do things half way, he does them up Right!

Yeah, I know it wasn't a political rally. But the singing of the Battle Hymn topped off by the Blue Angels streaking over the Lincoln Memorial and I said "This man is in for four more years". You might not agree with their views and motives but the 'Rats had sensed exactly this. That is why the fierce attacks from the NYT et al and the boycott.

Everyone who got their panties in a wad over how political they thought President Trump's 4th of July speech was going to be should all feel like utter fools this morning.

President Trump was reminding the nation, and the world, what the Democrats, the Left, wants to take away - our independence, our freedoms, our chance to prosper. It was a stark reminder of what's at stake, should the Left ever, God forbid, acquire power again.

It was a magnificent speech, far above what is thought of as a “presidential” speech. It soared. His heart and soul were in it. So were ours as we listened. While lesser persons pick away, he is a great man. Even those of us who supported him had no idea of the greatness that was within him...

IMO, Paul soiled his article by leading with CNN. Any mention of the enemy media has become anti-journalistic. If I cared for any information about CNNMSNBCNBCABC, I would go to the source and find out for myself.

#12....There are several videos on YouTube.
My local newspaper covered the various protests during the celebration in gleeful detail along with the fact that President Trump who they mentioned is always worried about crowd size was afraid the crowd would be small. They glossed over the actual celebration in one or two sentences. Typical.

Yesterday was President Trump at his finest giving this nation a well deserved birthday party. The speech, the music, the show with John Stamos, the fireworks were a treat for us all to enjoy. My favorite part was the flyovers. So proud of our great country, especially the military. Kudos to them and to our Commander in Chief. Semper fi!

The panelistsl on CNN were rather dismissive from the brief and painful snippet I endured. They seriously suspected the speech was largely copied from Wikipedia.

I can just see the comrades of the left wing media congratulating themselves for not covering Trump's salute to America yesterday. It turned out to be a wonderful celebration of our military and accomplishments over the last 243 years with a few history lessons thrown in. I can just imagine the enemedia ratings for yesterday, new lows in viewership because their usual audience were all watching FOX or OAN.
You have to hand it to Trump, he's a master at tweaking the lefties.....MAGA.

My wife and I are both former military and you really appreciate what the President did on the 4th of July speech about our great nation. We sit and recall about our times serving our country and how proud of the uniforms we wore in our youth. We often commented about seeing the President and First Lady and the contrast from the previous ugly un-American first couple. We would have had a different speech from that America hating buffoon and his hubris making the celebration about himself. Yes it was an uplifting day for us.

Just wait until next year, President Trump will go full speed ahead now to ensure that next year’s July 4th patriotic performance is a lot bigger and better. The leftist and liberal Democrats smell that coming, and you can bet that just the thought of that scares them to death.

Somehow, this 4th of July took on a more urgent and determined meaning than it ever has. I suppose it’s because we are so perilously close to losing this country we all love so much. And, it is that love of country and freedom that just oozes off President Trump. In a world of global sewage, the patriots have been given their voice back, and it feels, not only good, but righteous. It was a marvelous speech, delivered as only Trump can. And, right next to him was our lovely First Lady, a woman of grace, elegance and class. Even the rain had significance, as Trump pushed through the dark skies to deliver his message. Thank you, President Trump, and all who had a hand in producing this celebration. It feels good to be an American, again. Those of us who could not be there in person were with you in spirit.

The Show was worth it. I got teary-eyed REMEMBERING when this kind of salute would have been a GREAT THING...not in this COMMUNIST society of today.

Should have been televised nation-wide so the lo-fo's could get a history lesson.
It was awesome!
Thank you President TRUMP, VP Pence, and the impressive military presentation.
The fly-overs were tremendous, the show was great, the people were proud.
It was a great birthday for our nation and our independence.
We watched it twice on C-SPAN!
More please!

Am I just paranoid about the enemedia, but did they have to "film" the President through that water stained podium? Was there no other camera angle no other camera positions that could have been employed?
A terrific speech from a terrific President. And how gorgeous did our lovely and so accomplished First Lady look? What a breath of fresh air she is.
God Bless American and KAG

We DVR’d it and watched on C-SPAN. It was beautiful, respectful and should have had the history-starved among th nation diving for history books.
I heard the President say this morning that the Tel-E-Prompter, went off late in the speech, “but, I knew that speech.” Nice to have a photographic memory, which he does have. No wonder he doesn’t let anyone get one up on him! Keep America Great!
