President Donald Trump on Tuesday abandonned a beleaguered attempt to put a question about citizenship on next year’s census, despite being left a clear pathway to pursue it following last week’s Supreme Court decision. The Supreme Court ruling came out largely in favor of the Commerce Department’s legal right to include the question on the census. Source corrected

This explains why Pence’s plane had to turn back mid-air after doing a loop-de-loop, or whatever the mis-reporting said.

Would it be legal to have an addendum to the census with the citizenship question on it?

Hopefully he's not pursuing the question because he plans to deport all illegals by the next election. Maybe that's why Pence came back, because the deportations are going to start very shortly.

Probably figured out that all they have to do is count the forms filled out in Spanish. And Somali in Minnesota, of course.

Illegals will count just as much as hard working, tax paying citizens. Sickening

It really matters very little. No illegal is going to selfreport by actually admitting non citizen status. Lots of sound and fury accompllishing nothing.

The reason for these court failures can easily be weak or inept lawyers supposedly representing the White House. That was a big reason for the 2007 Supreme Court 5-4 decision, Mass v EPA, on so-called global warming, beginning with regulating tailpipe CO2. All the attorneys on the case including those representing the Bush admin. believed that human CO2 causes catastrophic global warming. I read this in the text of the decision. Obviously the case should be thrown out, but the entire political class loves a $4 billion a day racket. No one presented abundant documentation that CO2 lags temperature. Mass.vs EPA arrived at the Supreme Court thanks mainly to Mitt Romney who supported it while he was gov. of Mass, that Mass. was sinking due to CO2 and cars. I was shocked at how much the Supreme Court relied on UN propaganda.

What really happened is that the obviously Never-Trump Chief Justice joined by the four activist liberal Democrat Supreme Court Justices inadvertently gave President Trump another huge political issue to run and win on in the upcoming election. The people who will vote in that election will be mostly all US citizens who believe that the US Government and its citizens have a perfectly reasonable right to know how many US citizens, permanent resident aliens, and illegal aliens there are in the country by way of the census, that’s just common sense, and Trump knows it and will now exploit that fact while campaigning across the USA.
It is easy to see why the leftist and liberal Democrats want to flood the USA with as many poor, uneducated, and socialist minded illegal aliens as possible before the 2020 Census takes place. As the Democrats know that the vast majority of those illegal aliens will sojourn in immigrant and low income communities around the country that are aligned politically with the Democrats. Once counted in the census their numbers will greatly pad the population figures of those areas causing more federal money to be allocated to those areas, and will cause additional congressional districts to be reapportioned and moved to those areas where it is much easier for Democrat socialist candidates to win those seats with low vote counts. If congressional district apportionment was based upon only the numbers of US citizens in such a district who could vote, rather that the total number of persons, US citizens, and aliens who can’t lawfully vote, it would be a entirely different story indeed.
