Capitol siege was planned online.
Trump suppoters now planning the next one.

The planning for Wednesday’s assault on the U. S. Capitol happened largely in plain view, with chatters in far-right forums explicitly discussing how to storm the building, handcuff lawmakers with zip ties, and disrupt the certification of Joe Biden’s election — in what they portrayed as responding to orders from President Trump. They went far beyond the widely reported, angry talk about thronging Washington that day. Trump supporters exchanged detailed, tactical advice about what to bring and what to do once they assembled at the Capitol to conduct ‘‘citizen’s arrests’’ of members of Congress. One poster said, ‘’[expletive]’’ zip ties. I’m bringing rope!’’

Comments:

We must read this. This explains the Twitter suspensions and Parler shutdown. We didn’t do it, but we must look at the evidence that some did intend violence and overthrow. If so, it’s a nightmare.

I just emailed the WaPo, not that it will matter. Pointed out that I watched the entire thing online, the Antifa infiltrators instigated the breach. Asked them why they insist on presenting lies....told them that people will die because of their lies...suggested that was their intent. Submitted with fake name which was "Are you Kidding"

Stupid goons at the Compost Pile. What proof do you have the chatter on the “far right” sites were Trump supporters? How do you know BLM/Antifa didn’t infiltrate the websites? I guess your mega rich readers in McLean will be pleased to read your drivel, validating their continuing hatred and disdain for all things RED.

Leftists activists were online days before telling their boneheads to wear maga attire so they could blend in, but wear their maga hats backwards so their comrades could tell who was who. I guess these 'journalists' missed that.

I was there. Antifa was everywhere and they were the ones that stormed the capital. By the way, the Capital police were inviting people into the Capital. I don't see that anywhere. The Antifa crowd stood out with body armor, gas masks, knee pads, etc. The average Trump supporter was dressed without any shields...just normal. The Antifa were storming the capital, creating destruction until the Trump supporters made them stop. Please tell me where is the left's outcry of the devastation created by Antifa and BLM on our cities for months, burning of buildings, removal of statues, looting, killing police officers, etc.

I was not there, only saw videos of what happened. I know enough to know that Trump supporters do not wear backpacks, helmets, black clothes and probably the majority of them do not have the ability to climb walls or climb in windows because of age. I am sick of hearing apologies for the Trumpers for doing this. Last one I heard was Jessie Watters on Fox last night. Granted there may have been some on our side that got caught up in the moment but I don't believe they went to the gathering carrying tools, etc. like some we know did. Stupid was on the part of the Capitol police in not expecting Antifa and BLM to participate. That is their territory and they are probably on a first name basis with them.

I guess WaPo thinks us deplorables are rubes with no historical knowledge. The Capitol Building escapade was purely an Antifa Reichstag fire. A careful read of the transcript of Trump's speech to the Stop the Steal Rally will show nothing whatsoever that could be construed as incitement--unless "peacefully and patriotically" have new meanings. And the Capitol Building takeover occurred AT THE SAME TIME that Trump was speaking....about 1-1/2 miles away. Photo recognition software has shown that a number of the crazy rioters were BLM/Antifa rioters from New York, Philadelphia, and Seattle events. Funny how photographs of those particular people are missing in the mugshots file of the rioters that the FBI put out. Its almost like they don't want you to know that the crazy rioter with the horned headgear doesn't have another picture of himself hanging out with his buddy, Nancy Pelosi's nephew, floating around the internet

#7....The Capitol Building incident went just like the cluster flock that the Democrats planned. The Capitol Police were unarmed, undermanned, and unprepared and were also clearly told to stand down. By comparison, when the Leftist rioters invaded the Hart Senate Building during the Kvanaugh hearings, about 200 protesters were arrested. How many were arrested last week, even though the Stop the Steal Rally was well publicized?

I, the OP, have been here since the beginning of Lucianne, circa 1993. I am not endorsing the leftist point of view with this post; I want to know what happened. I have been rattled by things like the arrest of the Texas air force vet who had zip ties in his hands. I appreciate #2’s point that the alleged chatter may have been people posing as ‘far-right’.

The article does not include specific posts on specific platforms. They are taking second hand information from a consulting group. What about the posts they say were on Twitter? People say all kinds of crazy things on the internet. That doesn't add up to an organized threat. Did anyone who made it into the Capitol actually have zip ties? Or guns? If they had guns, they didn't use them. This was not a terrorist attack. The police let people in and they went. That's it. No kidnappings, killings, vandalism, bombs.

God is actively judging our nation, and He is using evildoers of all stripes to do it. The fascists now have their equivalent of the Reichstag fire to exploit, and they have already progressed to Kristallnacht in destroying those they hate. However, they are supernaturally blind to the fact that they are destroying themselves in the process.

WP does not report news. They are pure propaganda. That being said... Even the WP admits there was ample evidence that something big was planned for January 6. So why didn't our government act on it? Answer: They let it happen. Congress wanted it to happen to give them cover to certify Biden. Have to imagine their were people in the Trump camp that knew this was going to happen, and the information probably never made its way to Trump who would have likely stopped it. A word on left wing and right wing extremists. They both condone violence. Both want to overthrow the government. Both use information from the other's websites when needed. The lines blur. If both sides were at the rally, why didn't they get in a fight with each other? Its like the KKK and Communist rallies of old. Where one side had a rally, the other side was sure to follow, and violence would break out. No fight happened so only one group was there.

Another thought regarding right wing extremists. If they were such a threat, where were they throughout the summer while BLM and Antifa ran amuck across the nation? Didn't our FBI declare right wing extremists the number one domestic terrorist threat at one point a number of years ago? Perhaps our government knocked them out of commission for the most part. They probably still exist, but are likely being watched constantly, and are weakened. More reason to believe the January 6 rally was infiltrated by left wing extremists. Think they went online and said so for the record.

Trust the seattle times?? They must have been in a furor over Seattle's summer of love. /s Gaslighting is abuse! I was there. It was really a love fest. I had only 1 negative sensation the whole day when i saw the guy with horns being seditious on a bullhorn. Patriots told him he was on his own. He wanted people to be drug out the building by their hair. The only place i had read that online was monday and it was a quote of nancy pelosi. I wish i could post my pictures or videos here. This is what i saw. A beautiful awesome slice of america >99.9% of them dressed in red white and blue. White, latino, asian, black, men, women, children, youth, adults, seniors, christians, jews, probably atheist and agnostics i assume, gays .... in reasonable proportion. But in a sea of people like i had never seen before. We had to be a million strong but hard to tell in the middle of a forest of beautiful awesome trees. G-rated signs and chants stop the steal, transparency jesus, count, trump, love, usa god, fight, biden, save, tread, we, us, long-gun silhouettes all in appropriate syntax that should never be banned. Not g-rated bullsh$$$, 2 signs and some chants of f*** antifa, 1 sign with f*** biden. I saw a mother give her surprised son and daughter special permission to say bullsh*** related to how the ballots were dropped to take away our voice in america Peace, love, unity, respect, and hugs, hugs, hugs. Joy, optimism, pride, concern Friendly, sparse relaxed law enforcement only at the capital many without protective gear with distance to the awesome people. Not on alert and not worried about the crowd. Ex. Bald head on a the line turned away from the line of patriots. I had no fear of this crowd either. Singing that shook the air. star spangled banner, god bless america and when the saints come marching in. Positive cheers not angry chants. Some mostly young, mostly not in trump gear, not aggressive, some dancing, some relaxing on top of an armor vehicle, a truck, and a van parked in front of the capital stairs. I did not agree i thought they were stupid but damage was minimal. My guess if the police would have walked over and said dont do that they would have got down with out resistance. All Most all people just strolled past the vehicles up the stairs without touching them. I noticed 1 tire on the truck partially deflated on the way out. I did not agree but i dont think it was damaged. I think the air was let out. 1 little pitch fork non threatening position, i thought it was funny and used as a statement not violence unless antifa was targeting us we were clearly not their target or their mission here this time. A lady reading the constitution over and over on a bullhorn. Near equally spaced along the capital not red white and blue dudes spewing some kind of insurrection that were mostly ignored maybe checked by patriots saying u r on your own or f*** antifa Green soft plastic construction fence down, metal barriers opened and off the side. 2 area closed signs with people inside of the area but they wouldnt have seen them they strolled in a large area with no such signs or lef line. Defensive Helmets, goggles, like my own as cautious protection against antifa and blm violence that would have occurred if we were there target. They were smart we were not the target getting in the building was. Umbrellas and canes like my fold up umbrella that i brought in case i was attacked. Selfie sticks. The guy with horns had an intimidating spear. Stupid not trump supporters scaling walls for photo ops when they could have strolled up the stairs 25 yards away. Trump supporters on top were yelling dont get hurt climbing the wall walk up the stairs over there pointing to the stairs. An impressive line of kitted out lef marching to a area where patriots were yelling against people trying to break in. I immediately went the opposite way thumbs up to the lef who professionally ignored my non threatening pose as they were on mission. WHAT I DID NOT SEE Riot Fights Disrespect of lef or a request to not be where i was. No crowd control or messages from lef. I and others would have listened. When the curfew text came i checked the time and prepared to leave the grounds and make it home before the curfew. I was not close to being alone in that response. People screaming in lef faces or scary screaming Violence or a fight Graffiti or vandalism Burning Disrespect for others Hate except those bull horn freaks and the freak with horns. Illegal weapons Joe biden was right it would have been lots different if this was marxist blm.

No matter which conspiracy or extremist groups, and then and individual crazies are on both sides of the political divide, who broke the law by forcing unlawful entry to the Capitol building and murdering a police officer, as this article is saying, their plans were accomplished beforehand on the internet, so you have to ask where was the FBI and other counterintelligence organizations that are supposed to be monitoring those groups when all that was going on, and why was such intelligence not passed on to the Capitol Police and other law enforcement entities so that the security of the Capitol could be reinforced?
