The Washington Post is all-in on stoking the fire of public harassment of Trump supporters, denying them public accommodations. So much for civility and mutual respect.
That’s the only conclusion to draw from this op-ed (non-paywall version here) published by the largest newspaper in our nation’s capital, written by Stephanie Wilkinson, the owner of the Red Hen Restaurant that kicked out Sarah Sanders and her family while dining there.
The paper proudly tweeted out its contribution to the loss of civility.

Perhaps everybody affiliated with the Bezos Post should suffer such civility.

Who makes the judgement on who is unsavory? If these nuts ever ran everything many people that disagree will be in the Gulags.

Maybe such a person should not be working at a restaurant? Where they have to serve the public?

It is way past time for the Republicans to stop turning the other cheek and give every last member of the WaPo the same treatment. Get in their faces and yell traitors plus other insults to each and every one of them and members of their families every time they show their faces in public. Yell at them that they are not welcome to crawl back in their hole. This is the only way they are going to stop you know it and I know it! Only you can stop the insane attacks from the left.

One has to wonder how many restaurants would stay in business if they were to put signs on their front doors stating "We Do Not Serve Republicans," i.e., be willing to give up approximately one-half of their customer base.

Using that logic it means that Reporters can be abused and harassed for writing stupid and untrue stories.
Wa POO, thanks for that clarification!

I learned growing up in the inner city that the quickest way to stop bullying was to retaliate. Win.lose,or draw make them pay for their behavior. I was the smallest kid in the 'hood, with glasses a quarter-inch thick, but I was soon left alone, because although I'd end these confrontations covered with bruises, sometimes with a broken nose, the other guy had contusions as well. I got hurt, but in the end, I got respect.

WaPo writers must consider themselves something other than humans (I know, they think they're gods). Or, they don't dine in restaurants. But, as usual spit for thee but not for me.

Betting $$$$ Wilkinson sports a COEXIST bumper sticker on a hybrid.
I was at a birthday party - libs were telling tiny preschoolers to “Hit the piñata as if it were Trump”
And lecturing us all on ‘tolerance’ in the next breath.

The thing is - who's setting the standards of good taste nowadays? Does it always come from the top down? Maybe. Only accidentally, do I happen upon some station on my car radio that plays the latest "hits" by the latest "pop stars", and I quickly change the station. Even if I only hear a line or two, I can't help but wonder who writes these lyrics or this music? They're both terrible! And why are horrible things allowed on You Tube and other platforms, and something every-day and reasonable and Christian never stays long enough to become one of the "hits"? It has to come from the top down.

Everyone should recognize these violent tactics as practiced in the 60's against the Civil Rights movement led by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It is now the liberals, progressives, and Democrats again employing violence against anyone not of the same mind. The conservatives should continue following the non-violent ways of Mahatma Ghandi and Dr. Martin Luther King.

The tyrannical Red Hen owner has a legal obligation to maintain a SAFE and orderly public eating site with No discrimination; otherwise, sue her and shut the dump down.

It is not all that far from this kind of thinking to the requirement that conservatives and Christians wear something on their clothing to identify them so that they can be denied service? I think that was tried in one of the great European nations not so many years ago?

I wonder whether Ms Wilkinson's bumper sports a "coexist" sticker. I don't like certain people for (racial, appearance, sexual orientation...whatever), finding their behavior "unsavory". At least be honest enough to post your list of "unsavories", Ms Wilkinson, to spare them your soundstage treatment. "Unctuous Broads" would be at the top of mine, but c'mon in for the treatment you deserve.

Let's get photos of all the ComPost staff and see if we can hunt them down and harass them? Maybe put out a $20 bounty for anyone who will spit on them in public?
I suspect they will suddenly find this sort of behavior to be "unacceptable".

I seem to remember a Civil Rights Movement back in the 60s that declared that everyone had the right to public accommodations, such as equal access to restaurants, public transport, and public spaces. Now the left is attempting to dehumanize their political opposition, using the same tactics as their spiritual mentors, the nazis. Apparently we are less-than-human, and undeserving of the civil rights afforded to all other Americans.

I used to enjoy dining out, and hubby and I would do it pretty regularly. But now with all the stories about food recalls, and the kitchen staff doing who knows what to the food if they see you are the wrong ethnicity, we have seriously cut back, and we only have maybe 4 places we will go to. The health departments of all these cities should be doing unannounced inspections, and give them an examination they will not soon forget.
Shut them down for the smallest infractions if you have to. Messing with food is terrorism, and these people need to be stopped. We had food tampering terrorism back in the days of the Bagwan here in Oregon, so we are sensitive on this subject. What I want to know is why the USDA is not clamping down hard on all these recalls. It is getting to the point where I am very cautious about what I buy and from who I get it from. Especially the ground meats. Lucky for us, we have a store that does their own grinding, and they get the meat locally.
