The line from Donald Trump's reelection campaign kickoff rally that most stuck with me was: "Don't ever forget this election is about you. It's about your family, your future and the fate of your country." That sentiment -- that voters should be thinking about themselves and their families when they vote -- is the key to illustrating how the healthy economy, which has blossomed on Trump's watch, has tangible effects on the lives of voters. While the media and Democrats will relentlessly focus on Trump and whatever they perceive as the outrage of the day, the President's idea to get voters

Sen. Bernie Sanders is set to stake out uncharted territory in the Democratic presidential primary, offering up a plan to completely eliminate the student loan debt of every American. On Monday, Sanders will submit legislation that cancels $1.6 trillion of student loan undergraduate and graduate debt for approximately 45 million people. His ambitious plan has no eligibility limitations and would be paid for with a new tax on Wall Street speculation. The proposal goes further than the plan already unveiled by his Democratic primary rival Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Warren's debt relief package was subject to income eligibility levels to determine

SOUTH BEND, Indiana — South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg was peppered with tough questions Sunday as he sat alongside the city's police chief at a town hall event following a white police officer shooting a black man to death one week prior. Buttigieg was repeatedly shouted down and met with profanities and heckles as he spoke during the extremely tense and emotional town hall meeting at a local high school about last weekend's shooting. The shooting took place when South Bend police responded to a report of a suspicious person going through cars at an apartment complex. When South Bend

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) refused Sunday to visit the Auschwitz concentration camp, after a Jewish group had invited her to tour that camp and others this summer to educate herself about the facts of the Holocaust. Last Monday evening, Ocasio-Cortez compared detention facilities for illegal aliens caught crossing the U.S.-Mexico border to “concentration camps,” adding the phrase “never again,” which commonly refers to the Nazi Holocaust. The remark drew outrage and criticism, even from fellow Democrats. Nevertheless, Ocasio-Cortez doubled down, first claiming that she had not been referring to Nazi Germany, then drawing parallels to the U.S. internment of Japanese-Americans during the Second World War.

The great-nephew of NHS founder Nye Bevan died after a series of blunders at two hospitals treating him for lung cancer, it emerged last night.
Roderick Bevan died because doctors at both trusts failed to tell him he had the disease or treat it.
By the time they realised their mistake, in January last year, the condition was terminal and he could not be saved.
A coroner has ruled that the blunders amounted to neglect, and Mr Bevan, a retired caretaker, would have survived had he received radiotherapy.

Acting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Mark Morgan confirmed Saturday that blame for the unexpected delay in the agency’s planned immigration raids partially rests with the media.“The media got a hold of some operational specifics, and they reported it,” he said to Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro. “It’s egregious and it puts the lives of the officers and agents at risk. The men and women at ICE are true American heroes. The president recognized that. He postponed it to protect them.” He issued the confirmation hours after President Donald Trump announced an unexpected two-week postponement of immigration raids that were originally slated to occur Sunday.

It’s no secret to anyone paying attention that the liberalism of the left and all its virtues control America’s West Coast. However, the warm and fuzzy “progressive” aura that seems so attractive to unschooled is a sham. Sadly, to such voters, the phrase “somebody said so” is often the only proof they need to justify their ballot choices. But, as has is far too evident here in Seattle and in Los Angeles, such myopia has a price. The price of the Left in Charge.

Since President Trump took office, CNN has been trying to gaslight the country into believing that the President’s friendly relationship with some of the hosts on Fox News was somehow not a standard part of Washington D.C.’s revolving door (Obama hired at least 30 liberal media folks). Now, during Sunday’s so-called “Reliable Sources”, host and media janitor Brian Stelter took the feud with their better-rated rival further and suggested that the President got seemingly all of his military advice from Fox News. Trump recently called off a planned military strike on Iran because it would have left 150 people dead.

Joe Biden can't open his mouth to praise someone without a segregationist blast from the past coming out. Segregationaists, apparently, were the only people he knew.
And the flak he's getting on it is entertaining, but it's kind of a diversion. As the old geezer praises 'civility' and other virtues of the men of his party, the hair-raising specter is rising: Segregationists were pretty much the heart and soul of the Democratic Party. It wasn't a fringe or regional group. It wasn't a few outliers. It was the main thrust of the Democratic Party and recently enough that Biden knew its proponents.

Ever since the campaign for the Democratic nomination first began, basically on November 9, 2016, America has been treated to some truly comedic moments, from Hillary Clinton’s delayed concession speech, to two years of “will she, or won’t she?” speculation at a second - strike that - third, run for the presidency, all of which peppered with her $100 speeches to smaller crowds than a Bee Gees reunion concert would draw. Remember the bold predictions made by the New York Times’ economist and resident expert, Paul Krugman? The Nobel Prize winning economist said that the economic fallout of a Donald Trump presidency would be severe and widespread, predicting that it could “plunge the world into recession.” He penned his view in an opinion piece published the day after the election. Calling Trump both “ignorant and irresponsible,” he said that his election would be the "mother of all adverse effects.”

You’ve heard them deny it, right?
Democrats attempting to make some very thinly veneered argument that they’d never want illegal aliens to vote.
Yet they usually make this argument in the midst of advocating for either an open border, illegals to be given some “modest amount” of domestic services/resources (education/healthcare,) or the issuance of a driver’s license.
That last idea, I was told off the record by a very “moderate” and “common sense” Republican, only concerns him because of the worry that it might lead to a non-citizen being able to vote.
Which is worth worrying about!

WASHINGTON — On Thursday evening, U.S. Cyber Command launched a retaliatory digital strike against an Iranian spy group that supported last week’s limpet mine attacks on commercial ships, according to two former intelligence officials.
The group, which has ties to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, has over the past several years digitally tracked and targeted military and civilian ships passing through the economically important Strait of Hormuz, through which pass 17.4 million barrels of oil per day. Those capabilities, which have advanced over time, enabled attacks on vessels in the region for several years.

Of all the silly pseudo-sages of the 1960s counterculture, Reich was surely one of the silliest. No single figure or theme captures the totality of the countercultural revolt of the period. But few figures better embody

We know this because she has been silent for 23 years about it -- including four years ago when she could have made this claim and stopped his election.
That she did not claim it four years ago is proof enough that this is political sabotage. Four years ago, in the summer of 2015, this woman and her ilk thought the nomination of Donald John Trump would seal the deal for a Hillary presidency.

The chronic problem of sabotage by bureaucrats hostile to the outsider president shaking up the Deep State will never be solved until unmasking and punishment become the order of the day. That’s why it is so heartening that with unusual swiftness, accusations are pointing to the alleged identity of a leaker who successfully delayed implementation of a key Trump policy initiative, the planned ICE raids on illegal alien scofflaws who have defied court orders for theior deportation.
This exercise will – if the allegations are sustained by evidence – help establish a norm of exposing the rat finks that could discourage future saboteurs.

But he had said military action is still an option and brandished the threat of sanctions ever since.

FDR, of course, is Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd president of the United States, in office from 1933 to 1945, leading the nation during the New Deal of the 1930s and then, in the 1940s, to victory in World War II.

U.S. military cyber forces launched a strike against Iranian military computer systems on Thursday as President Donald Trump backed away from plans for a more conventional military strike in response to Iran’s downing of a U.S. surveillance drone, U.S. officials said Saturday.
Two officials told The Associated Press that the strikes were conducted with approval from Trump. A third official confirmed the broad outlines of the strike. All spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the operation.
The cyberattacks — a contingency plan developed over weeks amid escalating tensions — disabled Iranian computer systems that controlled its rocket and missile launchers, the officials said.

On June 29, 2017, the Dailymail in UK ran an article headlined “Four years to save the Earth: 2020 is the deadline to avert climate catastrophe, experts claim in chilling commentary.”
Two years later and halfway to deadline, the earth has not changed much. If anything, the El Niño of the 2016-17 season gave way for much cooler temperatures across the globe and the past two years have been colder than 2016.
This is just one of the many climate doomsday news articles that gets published in our mainstream news media every single day.
How seriously should we treat the climate doomsday claims?

E. Jean Carroll, a longtime women’s advice columnist, has accused President Trump of sexually assaulting her more than two decades ago in the dressing room of a department store. Carroll, who was 52 years old at the time of the alleged assault, makes this allegation in a book she has just published.
I have no trouble believing that Trump has improperly and forcefully touched women in the past. For one thing, he said he has (to Billy Bush). For another, more than a dozen women have accused him of this. Maybe they are all lying, but coupled with his admission, I think some of them are probably telling the truth.

Since the rise of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979, Iran has been in a state of ideological, religious cold war against the United States and its allies. Desiring to become the dominant force in the Mideast, Iran has worked to export its particular brand of Islamist revolution beyond its present borders. At the same time, like the Soviet Union with its specific version of Marxist-Leninism, Iran’s leaders have sought to expand their country’s zone of influence and control beyond its current national boundaries, to encompass the entire region — looking at the outside world in Manichean terms: divided between Iran’s Twelver Shiite brand

YouTube, Facebook, and Amazon have recently come under withering criticism from journalists and lawmakers for their role in amplifying unfounded and occasionally dangerous conspiracy theories, including the false but persistent belief that vaccines cause autism. The uproar caused Facebook to pledge to make it harder to find vaccine conspiracies on its platform, and Amazon has removed misleading documentaries from its video streaming service. But as false beliefs continue to fuel an unprecedented outbreak of measles, it's not just social media platforms that bear responsibility for keeping the conspiracy alive.
HuffPost, the left-leaning internet news site owned by Verizon, currently positions itself squarely against vaccine conspiracy theories.

The left went into a predictable hissy this week after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's comments about his opposition to reparations for slavery. "We tried to deal with our original sin of slavery by fighting a Civil War, by passing landmark civil rights legislation. We’ve elected an African American president. I think we’re always a work in progress in this country.”
While the liberal media has been desperate to accuse McConnell of calling Barack Obama's presidency reparations for slavery, if you watch the video, it’s clear that what McConnell was saying—that the election of Barack Obama was a symbolic moment in the progress America has made over the last 150 years.

Joe Biden’s advisers have been preparing him for an onslaught. Bernie Sanders is looking to cut a clear contrast on policy. Pete Buttigieg hopes to appear as “something completely different.” And Elizabeth Warren is all but certain to arrive in Miami next week with yet another new plan.
As for the 16 other candidates preparing to take the stage at the first Democratic debates, most can’t wait for a second chance to make a first impression.
“I feel like everyone needs a big moment,” said former Maryland congressman John Delaney, who, like two-thirds of the candidates taking the stage

IDAHO CITY, Idaho — The Wilks brothers grew up in a goat shed, never finished high school and built a billion-dollar fracking business from scratch.
So when the brothers, Dan and Farris, bought a vast stretch of mountain-studded land in southwest Idaho, it was not just an investment, but a sign of their good fortune.
“Through hard work and determination — and they didn’t have a lot of privilege — they’ve reached success,” said Dan Wilks’s son, Justin.
The purchase also placed the Wilkses high on the list of well-heeled landowners who are buying huge parcels of America.

Let’s get this straight: Joe Biden is leading in the polls for the Democratic presidential nomination because he’s the most “electable” candidate in the Democratic field? A guy who doesn’t realize that I worked with segregationists isn’t a winning message with Democrats in 2020?
This is what you get when you turn to a candidate who has been in Washington for 46 years. Biden was first elected to the Senate in 1972, when the Democratic Party was very different than it is today. As a freshman senator, he had to get along with the senior leadership of his party — which included segregationists

The Internet is a crazy place, made crazier with a desire from many platforms to be shocking just to get readership. Clickbait headlines and outrageous, negative stories complete with aggressive phrases like “owned” and “called out” litter websites and their corresponding social media accounts, which all do their best to out-shock each other to capture readers’ limited attention. While this insanity is definitely detrimental to our health as a society, it deserves even more scrutiny when directed at children.
Teen Vogue recently published a story with the headline "Why Sex Work is Real Work," written by Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng, who makes the argument that “sex work” should be decriminalized

The United States is again ranked as one of the worst countries in the world for human trafficking. According to a recently released report by the State Department, the top three nations of origin for victims of human trafficking in 2018 were the United States, Mexico and the Philippines.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo delivered the Trafficking in Persons report, which is created annually by the State Department to document human trafficking in the year prior, and highlighted the growing focus that government agencies and nonprofit organizations have dedicated to stopping human trafficking. The Department of Justice provided more than $31 million for 45 victim service providers
