John Lennon’s Son Denounces Political

The son of the famed Beatles member John Lennon has publicly made it clear that political correctness has destroyed the left he once knew and respected. Sean Ono-Lennon took to Twitter on Friday and tweeted out a message that stirred controversy within the left.“When I was young the most interesting people were left-wing intellectuals. Believe it or not,” tweeted Lennon.(Tweet) One person identifying themselves as a leftist intellectual attempted to argue that they still are the most interesting people he could meet, but Lennon flatly shot that idea down and dropped a major bomb. “No we’ve become the church lady as person below says. It’s embarrassing.

Three words in the article headline I disagree with--have become pathetic. The left has always been what this young man is starting to see. They may have been better at concealing who they really were, but there are few left-wing intellectuals in the annuals of history, I can promise him that. The left is offended by everything good and decent. They hate history, so they rewrite it. They hate science, so they make up lies about it. They hate decent people, so they kill babies in the womb while advocating mercy for murderers on death row. They hate God, so they create in themselves gods they can believe in. That's who the leftists are, son; but you might be on your way to sanity. We can always hope. Keep thinking, analyzing, and processing what you see, and continue to question what you once believed. Your parents were major Marxist walnuts; take the red pill.

Don’t be too sure about that, above posters. John had his conservative moments. After all, he moved to the US to escape England’s insane tax rates and, though he didn’t write it, he helped to record Harrison’s “Taxman”.

Welcome to the light, beautiful boy Sean. A little-known cultural fact is that John Lennon was turning away from Leftist groupthink in his final months (maybe final years) and it would have been the most fascinating thing to watch, and listen to, his transformation as a free-thinking, unafraid artist.

#15, no offense but what you wrote seems a bit facile. I can think of a lot of words to describe the person John Lennon was, some flattering and some assuredly not, but although he could be asinine at times (such as when he met Elvis Presley for the first time and assumed a cheesy German accent for no apparent reason or when he had his silly bed-in) the man in full hardly seemed like an idiot. He may not have been the most talented musician of the Beatles but he was surely the leader and day-to-day inspiration for the members of the most famous and important band of the last century and into this one. And “Imagine” aside, he had a lot of Liverpudlian working class common sense.

The number of Americans 18 to 34 who are comfortable interacting with LGBTQ people slipped from 53% in 2017 to 45% in 2018 – the only age group to show a decline, according to the annual Accelerating Acceptance report. And that is down from 63% in 2016. This is why Elizabeth Warren inflicted that cringe-making, “I’m gonna get me a beer,” video on a long-suffering electorate. It is why Joe Biden, who reputedly enjoys a special rapport with blue collar voters, is the frontrunner for his party’s presidential nomination despite his penchant for gaffes and plagiarism. Thus, during this week’s Democratic debates, the candidates will devote considerable effort to courting the “deplorables.” This will, however, be an exercise in futility because everything
