Conditioned responses are funny things. One of them, the statement that they're "probably all nice people" — oft used when discussing illegal migrants — is also a dangerous thing. That very line was uttered, reflexively, by Fox News pundit Tucker Carlson Monday night while discussing how one percent of Guatemalans have left for our country in just the last year. It's a qualifier reflecting that one has been put on the defensive — in a losing position. No, this isn't an attack on Carlson, who's the best mainstream cable news and commentary host in the business. Rather, it's a cautionary tale:

Comments:

Nazis invading Poland were probably all nice people, too.

Just stop spouting this nonsense. We are being invaded by millions of people who are going to destroy the system. These nice folks don’t care that their very presence here will bankrupt us and is putting a financial burden on future generations that is unnecessary and unfair. These nice folks don’t have any intention of assimilating. They are content to live as they have in their home countries and do not want the burden of learning our language. They will self-segregate and pledge allegiance not to this country but to the country from which they have so fearfully fled. They will proudly fly their home country’s flag while demanding benefits they have not earned. Therefore, I do not call them nice people. What has worked for this country is an immigration policy that makes sense. You come in legally, disease free, with a heart to become an American and you are warmly welcomed. Anything less is an affront to every American that has given their blood, sweat and tears to make this country what it is today. Politicians have failed this country. They have created the crisis at the border for the very worse of reasons: personal gain either through kickbacks, donations, or just raw desire to rule over the rest of us. Another group that is just as responsible is the businessmen who put their bottom line over the good of the country. What short sighted fools they are! It is shameful that politicians and businessmen who sell out the country and millions of American citizens for filthy lucre and blind ambition. So no, these invaders are not nice people and those enticing them to come are frankly, evil. Americans are sick and tired of being exploited by our politicians and businessmen who only want what is best for them. How long are we supposed to accept the destruction that is being crammed down our throats? Americans have been the ones who have been far too nice. Those “probably all nice people” will destroy this nation so let’s be honest and tell it like it is and quit virtue signaling. If a standing army were on the border they would not be called “probably all nice people”. Ironically, in their own way both groups will have the same effect.

Every single one of them. 100%, no exceptions, is a criminal. And then 100% of them get fraudulent forged documents, cheat our tax system and those are just the "honest" ones, not even talking about the rapists, robbers and murderers yet. ALL criminals, 100%. NOT "nice people", not a one of them.

I don't get all the fuss over Tucker's show, but anyway. No, they're not all nice people. Maybe the ones Tucker deals with, or rather his wife or housemaid, who mows their lawn, etc is a nice person. Nothing in the Constitution or any of our founding documents says we are suppose to let all the "nice people" into this country just because they come from a craphole. These "nice people" are the peasants/serfs of their country; despised by their own country's ruling elites who are more than happy to dump them off on us. Keep them out and the ones already here - round them up (they're easy to spot) and send them back and cut the foreign aid to their countries. Let their elites get rich some other way than with our tax dollars.

When so-called ''nice people'' come to my country, take from our benefit system, refuse to learn English, remain loyal to their home country and display it's flag at rallies, and vote democrat (illegally), then they are not nice people. If they were nice, they would band together with all the other nice people at home and fix their own country.

Most people don't quite know what to make of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's alarm about Manhattan prosecutors' decision to throw President Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, into Rikers Island prison. It was an unprecedented move. Yet she's hardly a supporter of people connected to President Trump - she actually wants the president impeached. But she's right about what she's reading: And she didn't back down, either. She gets a day off the idiot list for this principled political opposition. And whether she knows it or not, she's taking on a very sick political situation quite correctly.

CHICAGO (CBS) — The Crete Township victim found dead in the trunk of a car Monday morning likely saved his wife’s life by helping her escape the trunk where their attackers left them, according to the Will County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were called to Francisco Aranda’s home Monday morning when he and his wife didn’t report for work. They found his 59-year-old wife in the back seat of their car in the attached garage with her hands tightly bound. She said her husband was in the trunk.

To the shouts of "Si, se puede!" House Democrats voted Tuesday to hand out an unconditional amnesty to more than 2 million illegal immigrants brought here as old as age 15 as well as two other migrant categories, sending a message abroad that the border's open and path to the citizenship comes free. That's some message to send during an ongoing border surge. According to The Hill: The Democratic-led chamber passed the Dream and Promise Act in a largely party line 237-187 vote, with seven Republicans joining all Democrats in voting for the bill.

Mexico is going to cave, and it's not just the tariffs. We've got the Mexicans over a barrel on energy, and if we want, we can wipe their economy out. Without American energy imports, the Mexican economy collapses. This actually doesn't make any sense. Mexico is awash in petroleum and natural gas. But the Mexicans just can't get it out of the ground. American petroleum engineers were critical to the early success of the Mexican oil industry. From 1918 to the late '20s, Mexico was second only to the United States in oil production, and it was number one in petroleum exports.

Warren and her team appear to have been asleep for the past two years. How else to explain the fact that her plan completely ignores the substantial progress on jobs, wages and economic growth under President Trump, much less the reason behind these gains? Warren, for example, complains about jobs lost overseas and stagnant wages,

Earlier this month, San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to order every store in the city to accept cash. It seems that some innovative companies were experimenting with cashless stores as a way to cut costs, improve efficiency and keep prices down. But in progressive San Francisco, that kind of progress cannot be tolerated. Democrat-controlled Philadelphia imposed a similar ban on cashless stores in March. That same month, New Jersey’s Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy signed a law banning cashless stores throughout the Garden State.

When I was a little girl around the age of 7 in the late 1960s, the most exciting thing in the world was to persuade my parents to take me and my sisters to Sharp Hospital, up the road from where I lived in San Diego, to go see the newborn babies through the hospital window. In my little-kid mind, two things were must-sees - the giant statue of the stork carrying a baby at the entrance, and from the baby window with all the newborn babies, finding the babies in the incubators, marveling at how tiny they were in their oversized diapers

Democratic luminaries like Bobby Kennedy, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, John F. Kennedy, and Henry “Scoop” Jackson – all of whom in their time represented dark blue states.

Let’s be clear about a few things regarding “carbon taxes”. First, the system of taxing carbon emissions, also known as “cap-n-trade”, has absolutely nothing to do with climate change. Second a “carbon tax” is the holy grail for the totalitarian globalist world view. The concept of a tax on carbon emissions was developed inside the same financial network of multinational monetary interests that control the current global trade system. Powerful financial interests directly connected to The World Bank (WB), International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Trade Organization (WTO), together with global banking interests connected to Wall Street and
