Why did Trump hold a rally in
this small Pennsylvania town?

If there was a reason President Donald Trump chose the small Pennsylvania town of Montoursville to hold a campaign rally, no one in the media is saying what it is. In the absence of any answers, let me suggest one, admittedly more speculative than proven but a possibility nonetheless.
In 1996, during the midst of Bill Clinton's desperate drive to become president, 16 French club members from the Montoursville high school and five of their chaperones died in the crash of TWA Flight 800 off the coast of Long Island.
Although the phrase has been much abused, there is none better than "cover-up" to describe what followed.

Interesting read. Bill Clinton falls in the elitist category and thought of himself way too highly. He seemed to want no blemishes. . .

Jack Cashill wrote a book about the airplane cover-up so I guess the connection with this town struck a chord with him. I think he wrote this on the fly, though, as he surely knows that in 1996 Bill Clinton was not in the midst of a desperate drive to become president; he *was* president and was running for re-election.

Perhaps President Trump has seen something about the Flight 800 coverup that will be exposed when he declassifies all the illegal spying documents? The Flight 800 coverup is really no different than the Benghazi coverup both Clinton and obama were running for reelection and wanted to hide acts of terrorism before the election. Hide the truth what Democrats specialize in. I never bought the fuel tank explosion explanation.

I was at this rally. It was great. Fred Keller, the candidate Trump was here to endorse, won with more than double the votes of his Dem opponent. President Trump, and Don Jr, both gave great speeches, however, neither mentioned the Flight 800 tragedy, which is vividly remembered here.

Exactly #4 and it makes perfect sense. It's a way to drain the swamp, Maybe Trump is going to expose the lies made by the Government/media over the years... I would welcome it.

Isn't Montoursville the home of the Little League World Series?
I'd imagine it's sort of classic small-town America that makes you think of people like Jimmy Stewart or Jim Thorpe (both PA-born).
Much as I'd like to think Trump will divulge the truth about TWA 800, I'm thinking Montoursville was chosen for its all-American-ness.

Speculation about Trump’s reason for choosing Montoursville beside the point. I have no doubt at all that TWA 800 was a man-caused event covered up by the Clinton crime factory.

Funny, I was just discussing TWA flight 800 two days ago with my son and watched the Montoursville rally on Right Side Broadcasting Network and didn't know the connection until now.
As they say....President Trump knows where the bodies are buried with this story. Maybe his visitwas also meant to send a subliminal message to the FBI, since they were the ones that did the cover up for Slick Willy. Talk about a cover up! Remember when they found 500 FBI files in the Clinton White House. The Clintons were certainly crooked from day one.
It's obvious POTUS is playing chess while the Dems are playing checkers. He'll keep this impeachment BS going on alive and then at the right time move his king and checkmate them. What a disgraceful bunch of buffoons they are.

Cashill's short-on-detail article led me to some internet research on this air tragedy. It was time well spent. And like most fans of our great president, I think he is holding his cards close to his vest. Believe me when I tell you--I do not need to know everything in finite detail.

Sorry for the second post. I live here, am native to here, and was at this rally. Montoursville was chosen because it is pretty much in the center of Congressional District 12, and is the only airport around here big enough to land Air Force 1. We have long believed that there was a lot more to this than a ruptured fuel tank. Almost everyone around here was affected, either knowing the kids, their parents, or the chaperones.

Pennsylvanians collectively turned up their noses on Hillary and pushed Trump over the top in 2016. Any attention he pays to us is well deserved. This state has been solid blue for decades and our sicko liberal governor wolfman is doing his best to create more Republicans.
As for Flight 800, it is highly likely that it was shot down by a Navy ship or coastal missile battery, given the accounts of many witnesses. The best guess scenario is that we thought it was an unidentified aircraft for some reason, panicked and took it down. The government would never let a mistake like that become public knowledge.

This might be President Trump sending the left a very interesting message, and the players in the Deep State are probably jerking their heads around at this, too. Uh-Oh! How do they sleep at night?

Hmmm. Sounds like POTUS might be telegraphing something. Like...
I know where the bodies are buried! Brace yourself!

Ruh roh, deep state. Another sleeper coverup about to be exposed. This time, it belongs to BJ. Regardless, if Flight 800 was mistakenly shot down by our military or was a terrorist attack, a coverup is a coverup. Indeed, this coverup has similarities to Billary's and Obie's coverup of Benghazi, no?

Very interesting speculation. But given that it happened under a Clinton presidency, I would not be surprised to find out how close to being right he is. The media won't mind exposing Hillary, but they are going to have a cow trying to keep Bubba's antics covered up.

I discussed the Flight 800 mess with Jack when he was writing the book, and there is a whole lot there.
It has taken a LONG time to peel back the layers, and, at one time, I was skeptical of the USN missile
error theory, primarily because the missile launch is felt and known by literally every single sailor and officer
on that ship that night. They ALL knew. I had assumed that this info would be impossible to keep quiet,
no matter how seriously they were threatened with legal consequences. Somebody would be dying, or
just sick of it and tell the tale.
So far, not a peep, which led me to skepticism on the USN missile cruiser theory. I am not a certain today.
Hard fact - the FBI lied massively in writing their 302s. Multiple critical witnesses have said that
what the FBI wrote in the 302 is NOT what they told the FBI. Multiple highly qualified witnesses
saw a missile rise, make a course correction and hit the aircraft, many of the 302s don't reflect that.
Hard fact - A partially filled fuel tank CANNOT explode from a spark inside. The fuel-air mixture has
too much fuel in it to burn. The CIA/FBI count on people not realizing this basic fact of combustion science.
Note that NO OTHER aircraft, ever, has had an fuel tank explode. All of them and all modern cars have
both fuel level sensors and fuel pumps and associated wiring inside the fuel tank. There is no special
effort taken to seal or cover these electrical items BECAUSE IT ISN'T POSSIBLE for a spark to ignite
the mixture - too "rich" to burn. Only if the tank is opened up, and more air provided can it burn.
If you are interested, read Jack's book, much more info there.
It would be interesting if Trump were sending a message. What a coincidence of choosing a city, if you
believe in coincidences. I have long hoped that now-retired FBI agent Jim Kallstrom would spill the beans,
but so far he has not done it. Kallstrom was the lead in the coverup.

Re an errant Standard missile from USS Normandy bringing down a US-flagged commercial airliner - it didn't happen. Too many witnesses, as #18 points out.. Nor was it some classified submarine-launched anti-air missile as Cashill has also suggested. If it was a missile, and there are reports of an arc from the surface of Long Island Sound, then it was most likely a leftover Stinger that found its way there from Afghanistan, a surplus from the days of the Soviet occupation.
As for Trump in unheard-of Montoursville? The heartland of the big Pennsylvania Commonwealth, key to winning in 2020. Nothing more.

#19, there is evidence that a SEAL team was brought in to scour the ocean floor and that
local commercial net fishermen were asked to keep an eye out for the components which are
ejected from a Stinger during launch, some sort of a booster charge canister, IIRC. Apparently
the ocean floor there is mostly clean sand, items could be found.
Having a number of family members in the USN, I have always been skeptical, not that an error could
have happened, but that it could be covered up this long. Perhaps USN personnel are more firm
at holding to their commitments to the rules of classification than I think - in a clearly
serious error case like this.
There are questions about the Stinger theory. It would have hit an engine, not the middle. The center
hit seems to mitigate for a radar guided missile rather than a heat seeker. I have no doubt it was
a military missile, but unknown type and reason. Terrorism seems most likely.

Every time this event is brought up , I hearken back to a Sunday morning talk show( a lookback at the Clinton admin at the end of his second term) where Georgie Snuffleupagus was asked about the 'war room' that he ran.Google that and you will witness him referring to that event as ' the bombing of TWA 800".

There was a special House election in that part of PA on Tuesday. That's probably why President Trump held a rally there. Yeah - barely reported on. Probably because the Republican won by nearly a 2-1 margin.

Number 18, there have been a number of USAF KC-135 tanker aircraft lost due to fuel tank explosions.

Can you point me to an accident report, please? An internet search finds no references.
There is a lot of experience and theory that says it is impossible unless large quantity
of extra air is introduced somehow into the tank to lean the fuel:air ratio down to a
combustible mixture. In a sealed tank, the fuel evaporation will reach equilibrium and
create an incombustible mixture "too rich to burn" as the steady state condition.
In battle damage scenarios, typically the tank is ruptured air enters, and fuel burns
outside the tank, and then inside if enough air enters.
In fuel tank maintenance accidents, added air is introduced to attempt to get the
mixture below the lean limit, and this can fail to introduce enough air, leaving a
combustible mixture. In an equilibrium condition, in a sealed tank the mixture is
incombustible. This is why cars don't blow up every day.
