The United States, and much of the Western world, has gone badly off the rails on the subject of energy. Obsessed with CO2 emissions, a minor factor in the Earth’s climate, Western policymakers have turned to archaic technologies like wind energy as though they were futuristic. The Science and Environmental Policy Project comments:
"Energy expert Mark Mills has produced five parts of a series in Real Clear Energy discussing the tremendous demands for electricity from developing electronics and associated high-tech equipment. The development of “smart” technology and artificial intelligence will place burdens on the grid that renewables cannot meet.

We either need to start using unicorn poop or rewrite the laws of thermodynamics - we need Comprehensive Thermodynamics Reform!

From the article: "If we want a disruption to the energy status quo, we will need new, foundational discoveries in the sciences."
The idea that we want to or need to 'disrupt' the energy status quo is just deranged. There is absolutely nothing at all wrong with
what we have, if we quit flushing billions down the dead end rat hole of solar and wind "power".
This lunatic, political, entirely unproven idea that less than one half of one percent of CO2 is somehow
seriously harmful is dangerous political talk, no actual basis in facts. The biggest need is to get rational
about this politically motivated, leftist lie and stop wasting money on stupid, expensive, intermittent toys
and pretending that they are a legitimate power source. They are NOT.
Nuclear power, done properly, can be a great, real power source for centuries. We will need to
reprocess the fuel, instead of 'burning' it once and then throwing it away. The current process
harnesses only about 1% of the available energy in a pound of uranium. This is also stupid,
and yet, was mandated by Jimmy Carter, who was wrong on everything else he ever did, and
wrong on that, too.

My local Fox News channel did a report last night, that had a 'scientist' (?) stating that New York would be under 5' of water in about 6 years, if we didn't slow down global warming. They reported it with a straight face, believe it or not. If they didn't have the best local weather forecasts, I wouldn't watch them, and after this revelation of climate change, I may have to re-think my viewing habits.

That really is nuts, #3. IIRC, the rate of sea level rise is about 3 millimeters per year, so a bit over an inch in
a decade, and has been so for a very long time.
"under 5 ft of water" - implies way more than 5 ft increase since there is a substantial distance between
the water level and land today, so probably need 8-10 ft rise. In six years. Unreal - and who will drag
this reporter and "scientist" in front of a camera and see what they have to say on 6 years? Nobody.

Leave it to the leftists to change the meaning of the word 'smart'. I think Jeeeeawwwn Kerry started that or maybe Billy Jeff.

What is really pathetic is how the Left points out that "renewables" are producing a sizable amount of energy. However a major part of renewables is biomass, a good chunk of which is burning wood, which while renewable is not green. But the Alarmists don't want to let reality get in the way of a good narrative.
Nuclear would be a good way to go although we need to get serious about dealing with nuclear waste, which no one wants in their "backyard".

As we left Nevada on I-15 today we saw the sign "Entering California Desert Conservation Zone". Looking to the right we saw the massive Ivanpah solar plant towers, surrounded by reflective mirrors and a vast tract of solar panels. No irony there, eh?
May 22nd and the temperature in the desert town of Barstow, California was 46 degrees when we drove through at noon! Bakersfield, California is experiencing a 130 year record low temperature. Snow is still falling in the Sierra Nevada mountains! Somebody ought to start pumping more CO2 into the air before we freeze to death!
The only smart thing the proponents of solar and wind renewable energy did was to pull the Orwellian switch for their doomsday prophecy to change it from global warming to global climate change. It surely isn't warming, but climate always changes - so they're always right!

We are nearing a solar sunspot minimum, which has been associated historically with cooling weather.
I wouldn't be surprised if we don't have cooler than normal weather for quite a while, while the "experts" are
all screaming about MMGW.

Nuclear power is the obvious answer, but the Luddite Left aren't interested. Heck, Hillary and the Obama Administration presided over the sale of 20% of our valuable uranium ore to Putin's Russia. That deal and the Iran money transfer were the actions of Domestic Enemies.
