You could say kids are taking the lead on climate change. Greta Thunberg, a 16-year-old Swedish activist and Nobel peace prize nominee, has barnstormed parliaments and United Nations meetings, calling on leaders to stop “behaving like children” and get serious about tackling climate change. Following Thunberg’s lead, thousands of students around the world have started skipping school on Fridays to protest climate inaction. And in June, a group of young Americans will face off against the U.S. government in a landmark trial aimed at spurring more aggressive efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions. But kids can change the

Remember when the left used to complain about anti-nuclear-war drills, and how this was propaganda aimed at parents and it was training children in useless activities which was terrifying them and as such was child abuse? It turns out they were just studying the example for later use. xcept they amped it up. Effing hypocrites. Scaring kids as they have never been scared before by responsible adults. Just for propaganda. Effing hypocrites.

Kids know everything, until they get around 30 years old, then realize how ignorant they were.

Parents must actively teach their children the truth. The schools will NOT do it. Public or private, they´re all run by loony lefties.

I can see how it would influence their parents to put them into private schools....in another state.

So exactly WHAT is unusual about the communist indoctrination of gullible students who have been taught that "your feelings are very important," and have no clue what the scientific method IS? "Yeah, science & math are just too hard ... we´ll go with our feelings."
Sounds like much of congress as well, most of whom don´t know of or remember the Global Cooling scare in the 1970s. Thousands of "Gretas" joined the Hitler Youth ... that consensus didn´t make them right either.

Dear little boy of mine:
Remember that 10,000 years ago America was covered on mile-deep ice. This was our last ice age. After these glaciers melted they formed the Mississippi basin, Great Lakes and 1000 lakes in Minnesota. There were no combustion engines beach then. We are now in an interglacial period so Climate is changing. Long before, 600,000 years ago, we had the snowball Earth period when the entire Earth was covered in ice down to the equator. Conditions were so harsh that only a few types of animals survived in isolated places in the cold seas, bringing us the Cambrian explosion in animal body plans. So this is nothing. The seas are not rising, although in some places land is slowly subsuming due to continental drift. The oceans are not more acid and plants are consuming the extra CO2 we produce and using it as fertilizer and for the generation of life-giving oxygen. Enjoy the good of this Earth our Creator gave us to use, and be good stewards of plants and animals so we can feed on them.

Keeping your children or grandchildren out of government "schools" (actually propaganda centers) should be your most important goal in life.

It influenced me to realize that our public school systems are nothing but failing propaganda mills that turn out nitwits.

"How teaching kids about climate change can annoy their conservative parents", there, I fixed the headline. Probably causes great stress to families and is responsible for breaking some apart.
A child will not influence a conservative parent who knows the TRUTH.

I happen to be a conservative and Christian parent. I would rather teach my child that we have to be stewards of the earth. God can take it from there. . .
