Special counsel Robert Mueller´s two-year, $30 million, 448-page report did not find collusion between Donald Trump and Russia. Despite compiling private allegations of loud and obnoxious Trump behavior, Mueller also concluded that there was not any actionable case of obstruction of justice by the president. It would have been hard in any case to find that Trump obstructed Mueller´s investigation of an alleged crime. One, there was never a crime of collusion. Mueller early on in his endeavors must have realized that truth, but he pressed ahead anyway. It is almost impossible to prove obstruction of nothing.

Good summary of how those who attempt to build moral high ground for themselves are often the biggest sinners. Jail time has been earned by many for this attempted coup but will any of them see it?

The entire investigation was a rip off. Thank God AG Barr arrived to rein in the stupidity. Mueller should be sued by the taxpayers.

Notice a common thread? Every single one of these government employed collusion kings has monetized their lies through media willing to assist in the "orange man evil" narrative.

“Former FBI Director James Comey figures into the Mueller report. But there is no curiosity about whether he broke the law...”
Yeah, and Mueller (more likely Weissmann) was equally incurious about the illegalities committed by Clapper, Brennan, Comey, Clinton and Oobama in the same time period as the alleged collusion. It’s like being sold a book with all the odd-numbered pages blacked out.

Could the famous and even the really good commentators like VDH, along with everyone else, PLEASE stop giving the criminals involved in a criminal coup to remove a duly elected president, stupid and elitist sounding, grandiose excuses like "Pious Hypocrisy"? Look, most of us KNOW no one involved in the criminal coup will ever be indicted, tried, convicted nor serve a prison sentence like WE would be for much, much lesser crimes. Just ask Papadopoulos on that one. And none of the criminals involved in the coup will ever have their lives destroyed, utterly destroyed for their crimes. Just ask Carter Page on that one.
So, the glowing, "look how intelligent I am" crap from everyone, and now even VDH, who today, swerved into a bad Andrew McCarthy impersonation, is just that, crap. The criminals, the "pious hypocrites" are flipping you off and laughing at us all because they will continue to be rewarded for their crimes.
And by the way, while all this deep-thought-apalooza is going on by all the conservative deep thinkers, what is the deep state doing right this minute to actually cheat in 2020? Do you think because of the Mueller limelight that they are not continuing to do and get away with the next batch of crimes while the GOP aids them in doing so?

What did any of the Republican members on Muellers witch hunt have to say about the investigation?
What? Oh...Never mind.

The scariest people are government workers who think their job is to “do good.” Comey fits in this category, too.
Their job is not to make moral judgments or deal with moral dilemmas. Either someone broke the law or they didn’t.

These members of BO´s administration think of themselves above the law. Given their positions, they believed they DEFINED the law. They had significant power, as Comey did, to declare freedom or prosecution. Their ARROGANCE directed their actions.
Their words to justify their actions are just that, words. Words spoken by clever and accomplished men who have long experience in manipulation and speaking to make their cases. Consider, for example, how Mueller´s actions in previous cases have been overturned in courts and fines levied. Mueller believed he had the right to act as he did. HE defined the law. Until he was corrected by the courts.
This is why an accounting is so desperately needed. These arrogant bureaucrats need to be slapped down as hard as possible.

#5, I agree completely. It is time to take the kid gloves off and stand for justice and the rule of law. It is time to get tough. Demand justice and settle for nothing less. These arrogant elitist CRIMINALS attempted a coup d’etat against a sitting President and are no doubt up to more mischief right now to destroy Donald Trump’s Presidency. How do you deal with something like this? You make sure everyone involved in this conspiracy is held accountable for the most serious crime ever attempted in the history of the country, sedition. I am weary of being nice. It is time to put the big hurt on anyone who dared be part of this abomination.

Or were they constantly broadcasting their virtue as a preventive defense against growing evidence of their own moral lapses?
Or were they constantly broadcasting their virtue as a preventive defense against growing evidence of their own treasonous crimes?
There...I fixed ending. You´re welcome.

If Mueller wanted to find collusion, all he had to do was look at the DNC, Hillary campaign and the Steele Dossier. But, he did not do this. Instead, he spent nearly two years trying to build a case for obstruction of justice. And, he failed at that.
Most of the report was spent documenting that Trump can be rude and crude. This is not obstruction. If it were, Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) should have been thrown out of office.
No, this was a witch hunt from the beginning with the goal of overthrowing the President. The perpetrators should be sent to prison for a long, long time.

I´m not concerned that Obama or Hillary Clinton are snared. That would be a waste of the President´s time and a distraction but that would eventually happen if the conspirators are snagged and sent to their just punishments. The central figures in this coup need to pay the price some even deserve the rope and a hanging tree that´s how serious this is.
One poster mentioned that to believe these people are not plotting 2020 right now are wrong. They just might be planning some kind of defeat for President Trump. We will see if we have an AG and a staff to counter the Mueller investigation with the same gusto as Mueller.
This is the time to get this right let the seditious conspirators write their books from a prison cell.

This entire coup is a criminal conspiracy that has tentacles throughout the previous administration, still in our Intelligence and law enforcement communities, and in the judiciary and Congress. The entire government is in the dock - every damn agency.
And who do we depend upon to "fix" this, to bring the criminals to the bar? The same apparatus clearly involved in the crime and the cover-up.
Perhaps an investigative and prosecutorial task force using federalized Republican State Attorneys General, prosecutors and investigative staff can be assembled to start building cases against the traitors trying to deny the ´16 elections.

Drop $30 million into a bucket serving a team of Trump hating Democrats, and what do you get? Over two years of nothing except them avoiding every Democrat crime.

I love and admire VDH, but its time for him to take off his academic´s hat and put on his farmer´s hat. Our public discourse is awash in euphemisms and pantheons written about a honor and a truth that no longer have any basis in reality. I´m tired of essay answers when one sentence is all we need.
Is President Trump the only public figure that can speak plain English? Are patriotic Americans the only citizens with the working brains to understand our native tongue?
The force of our federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies were weaponized against Donald Trump and the American people for the sole purpose to steal our country from us.
MAGA - Nuke ´em all, Donald. Nuke ´em all to hell.

As #2 points out, "pious hyprocrisy" is a ridiculous mischaracterization and prettification of the extreme level of crime and corruption these people engaged in. I pray for justice.
