Democrats on the House Oversight Committee want to depose John Gore about his role in the Trump administration’s decision to add a question to the 2020 Census about citizenship. Gore was acting as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights when the decision was made. Gore is prepared to testify and the administration is fine with him doing so. Attorney General Barr insists only that Gore be accompanied by an attorney. Barr is right to attach this condition, one that, according to a Department of Justice spokesperson, is consistent with longstanding DOJ policy. The lawyer accompanying Gore

I’ve tried to give Cummings the benefit of the doubt. Can’t anymore. He’s as dishonest as the rest of the Dems.

Their motives for doing everything are so convoluted and so dishonest and such a waste of time and most of the media behave the same. The last line of the article says it all.

Cummings ain’t exactly a Mensa candidate. His IQ added to that of Maxine Waters might get you into double digits - but just barely.

My dad represented my uncle back during the JFK administration. My uncle was a coorberating witness to a mob hit, and Robert Kennedy was the DA.
Robert tried to force my dad from the room and intimidate my uncle for his mob associates. My dad and uncle didnt budge. My dad believed Bobby was trying to get my uncle alone in a room where he could claim his testimony changed.
The trial never came off because the witness of the hit was tracked down and also rubbed out.
Nice people, democrats...

Headline has been butchered. Yes, Cummings is demonstrating what 50 years in "public service" with zero accomplishments can do to one´s mind.

#5, the headline is as it was originally printed at Power Line. I knew it was weird, but we´re not allowed to alter a headline. Now, Power Line has fixed it.

Federal hearing.. bankrupt a lot of innocent people, not just financially, but in wasted time and energy..for any citizen called to testify:
Rule number one, unless every member of the committee must be seated in their chair for every word of your testimony, if not there must be a 10 minute recess not to be extended, at the end of ten minutes if everyone is not seated the session ends and never to be recalled!
Congress is Notorious for wasting time, theirs and everyone else’s.. this abuse of power, can no longer be tolerated..
Rule two, if you are called you must be financially commented for your time and effort, say at about the cost of a high powered DC lawyer, about $600.00 to $1,000.00 per hour!
Let us stop this Cham of citizen harassment’

What the dimocrats are doing, along with Herr Mueller and his Gestapo gang, are attempts to kill lawyer-client privilege, along with executive privilege,
During White Water investigation, Dollar Bill Clinton asserted those privileges almost one hundred times. Delay is always important, if you are trying to run the clock.
You can expect political ads, especially from PACs, listing all of the ongoing investigations of DJT. And those investigation will be kept open.

I always figured that Mueller´s bully tactics would start trickling down but I didn´t expect them to appear so soon. Mueller was fond of cornering his prey and grilling them without a lawyer present too. See Gen. Flynn as an example.
