The release of the report by special counsel Robert Mueller has unleashed a furious debate within the Democratic Party over the need to commence impeachment proceedings against President Trump. Mueller was anything but subtle in his pointed discussion of how Congress can deal with the “corrupt exercise of the powers of office” within “our constitutional system of checks and balances and the principle that no person is above the law.” In writing those words, Mueller put Democrats in Congress in a more uncomfortable position than he did Trump. Indeed, Trump seems quite satisfied with defining victory as avoiding indictment.

"Obstruction" is an action, not an idea. "Justice" is the investigation of a crime, not the advancement of a political witch hunt.
There was no crime. There was no obstruction. Trump freely delivered over a million pages of documents and cooperated fully with the investigation.
Mueller should have been fired for hiring legions of known-to-be-partisan investigators, for his abject failure to investigate the obviously corrupt allegation of "collusion", and for failing to end his investigation as soon as no "collusion" was found.

If Mueller is looking for “corrupt intent” he should look in the mirror....

Impeachment is not a criminal justice process. It is whatever the House votes out in its articles to the Senate.

Mr. Turley, it is my opinion that YOU KNOW the basis of this entire scandal was fabricated and yet you give it such credence. I am disgusted by you and all in the media and others who, in my opinion, know the truth and yet continue this charade.

Facts will not stop them. Truth will not stop them. They control Education and the Media. Truth and facts are whatever they say they are.
The Goebbels School at work. We will have to fight to regain Constitutional control of this Country.

You know, articles like this do nothing but agitate the agitators. They keep the meme alive and well, as if to say, "Here- fix this first...". And in the full meaning of it, it is not helpful and at its worst, it is destructive.
How about this: No Democratic Party dominated Senate, No Impeachement of this Republican President!
Do you really, in your heart of hearts, belive if the Democrats had majority in the Senate, they would have alre3ady Impeached President Trump, with or without "Criminal Intent" or any criminal behavior at all. If you have not noticed, Democrats make up both the evidence and the rules as they go along.? They do not need anything but the will to do it, and they have that in spades! The "Law" (whatever that is these days if you have been watching the leftist activits Judges) means nothing to them.

Actually, #6, only the House can impeach. The Senate then can convict or not. Bill Clinton was impeached by the House, but the Senate failed to convict. Yes, Pelosi and her group can impeach with a simple majority vote. But the impeachment would stand without conviction if a two-thirds vote couldn´t be achieved in the Senate.
"The Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole power to impeach an official, and it makes the Senate the sole court for impeachment trials."

Given the current pursuit of Donald Trump´s financial records, the democrats intend to impeach him because he is using his position as POTUS to enrich himself.
Two problems, (1) Donald Trump would be richer by hundreds of millions had he NOT sought out the presidency.
(2) He is already rich.
The last I heard, the growth of one´s wealth through honest means is one of the goals of the American dream. The only conclusion here is that democrats are insane.
Are they willing to demand the same of Mr. and Mrs Sanders? I thought not.

The whole idea is, without a Democratic Partyn majority in the Senate, a House impeachement process is not going to happen under the existing, "laws mean nothing!" atmosphere in the Democratic Party electeds. There is no point to it. Give them a majority in the Senate, impeachement for dropping a gum wrapper on the lawn would be enough.
