This week George Conway, a Republican lawyer and prominent critic of Donald Trump who happens to be married to presidential adviser Kellyanne Conway, diagnosed the president with "narcissistic personality disorder." Trump responded by calling Conway "a total loser," then, upon reflection, a "stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!" It is tempting to conclude that Conway was the winner of this exchange. His insult was certainly more detailed, and it seemed more sophisticated as well, relying on the supposedly scientific authority of the American Psychiatric Association´s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). But the spat illustrates psychiatry´s pernicious

I´m sorry Jacob, but when does a loudmouth Lawyer using big words ´win the argument´ ??
You say the President is the loser in the exchange, but I don´t see where Conway is a qualified psycho analyzer...
The President´s language is MORE descriptive and isn´t cloaked in the hubris of self righteousness.
President Trump is the Winner !

Maybe it´s me, but I don´t need the American Psychiatric Association to tell me the difference between a man who became President in spite of a media the Nazis only dreamed about, and a weird slob who seems to be spoiling for a fight.

The article is aptly placed in Reason´s Hit & Run blog.
Does the DSM consider awarding a pResident with no tangible accomplishments a Nobel Peace Prize a disorder?
Write about that, Jacob.

When did George Conway receive a doctorate in psychiatry and examine Donald Trump?

Conway is getting what he wants: The President´s attention. He is pushing Trump´s buttons in hopes he can provoke him into a Humphrey Bogart rant about the strawberries, Trump needs to ignore him.

George Conway has a real problem. Who in the world would criticize his spouse´s boss and not realize that she could get fired. Maybe that is what he wants. Feminists should be up in arms about this.

I heard Rush Limbaugh talking about this yesterday, and I concur with his opinion.
George Conway appears to be an insecure little man, and "projecting" this mental illness diagnosis, which reflects his own thinking.
Rush said, "I would never insult my wife in this manner, when George says these hateful things about his wife´s boss, he is also insulting her for choosing to work for that boss."
No one ever knows what happens within a marriage, not even a marriage counselor, but sometimes a participant reveals more than he intends.

George Conway cannot in any way "diagnose" POTUS w anything. He cannot legally stand there and assert a medical dx w/o getting himself in very hot water - practicing medicine w/o a license. His assertions carry no medical credibility.
George is troubled. Kelly - I can´t figure her out. Maybe they are trying to play both sides in case 2020 doesn´t work out, but who the hell wants George for ANYTHING on the Dem side? He´s unpredictable and steps way out of bounds by playing doctor. Seriously...cannot do that.....there are consequences. Even for docs that appear to offer advice and training for patients or clients outside the office environment. THere is ALWAYS a disclaimer, even from an MD, to note not medical advice, always check w your physician before starting, blah blah.
The real docs have to cover their butts w that. George has opened himself wide open to playing doc.

I recently saw a mass display of "narcassistic personality disorder." I think they called it the "Academy Awards." 99% who attended were afflicted, not 100% because maybe Gary Sinise was there.

I´m really tired of the George and Kellyanne show. I think The President should just ignore George. What he wants is ATTENTION! Don´t give it to him! Trump and Kellyanne have a lot on their Plate, they don´t need a yipping at the Heels puppy looking for attention. She can deal with George AT HOME. No more public remarks is the way to handle that Jealous Husband!

When I first began reading this idiocy I thought he was describing the “I” man Obama. Diagnosis from a distance is dangerous.

It is dangerous to freedom and free speech to declare the president as being mentally unfit to hold office, with the blessings of the American Shrink Association. Soviet Russia had regularly committed their dissidents to mental hospitals, and in many cases, drugged them incoherent and senseless.

Mr. Conway is an insecure whiny little man and a lousy husband. He obviously envies her national political prominence.

Every shrink I´ve ever known , lo, these many years ( no , not as a patient but spending time with them in social situations). I put them right up next to climate change agents.Nose in the air, spouting theories that are seldom proven and certainly not exact.
I´ll hang around with a plumber and expect to learn a lot more useful info, thank you .

There some who speculated that Kellyanne was behind a lot of leaks early on. It would make sense if she was telling things to her husband in confidence and given his aversion to PDJT, he leaked.
