Iowa has zero interest in de Blasio as presidential candidate: poll

Original Article

Posted By: LittleHoodedMonk, 3/10/2019 2:17:26 PM

A new Des Moines Register poll shows Bill de Blasio getting zero interest from likely Democratic caucus-goers as either a first or second presidential choice. Former Vice President Joe Biden — who has yet to announce his candidacy — led the 20-candidate pack as the first choice of 27 percent of likely Democratic caucus-goers, and the second choice of 19 percent. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and Cory Booker were the next most popular, in that order. The poll showed de Blasio tied for last place in popularity with Eric Swalwell, Marianne Williamson and Andrew Yang.

Comments:

I debated earlier about posting this article , mainly because to me, the Iowa caucuses are worthless and de Blasio is useless in politics. But, add this to the Beto story, and you get a twofer of losers. The dRATS infanticide party is already separating the wheat from the chaff. Then, comes PIAPS in on Herself´s broomstick, not running originally till nominated. Look out, Uncle Bernie. Too bad as a communist, you can´t keep holy water around. HA!

I don’t think Groper Joe will run. He’ll be running against DJT who will make an issue of his sordid past. There will be no establishment republican who will lose gracefully because “that’s not who we are”.

I’m hoping that it will Kamala Harris. I’m waiting to hear her commercial for the first time !!! “I’m Horizontal Harris and I approved this message “.

Putting Iowa ahead of NH in the presidential primary season has burdened us with some lousy nominees, in a caucus system which is easily manipulated.
It also has burdened us with ethanol- contaminated gasoline, and sky high beef prices..

de Blasio is not even a remotely likeable guy. Men like him are often found in middle management. Usually bitter, incompetent and blaming everyone else for their own failures. Guys like him is why the 2x4 was invented.

How he won in NYC is a mystery to me.

The Trump administration has ruled that gun shops are considered “essential” businesses that should remain open as other businesses are closed to try to stop the spread of coronavirus. Gun control groups are balking, calling it a policy that puts profits over public health after intense lobbying by the firearms industry. (Snip) After days of lobbying by the National Rifle Association, the National Shooting Sports Foundation and other gun groups, the Department of Homeland Security this past weekend issued an advisory declaring that firearms dealers should be considered essential services — just like grocery stores, pharmacies and hospitals — and allowed to remain open.

Washington DC - A Washington-based lawyer Larry Klayman has filed a USD 20 trillion lawsuit against China for the “creation and the release of the novel coronavirus” that has infected more than 334,000 people globally. Klayman and his advocacy group ‘Freedom Watch and Buzz Photos’, a Texas-based company, has filed the lawsuit in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas, alleging that the novel coronavirus was "designed by China to be a biological weapon of war", and that whether or not the country intended to release it, China violated "US law, international laws, treaties, and norms."

Italian engineers are making ventilators out of diving masks and fitting them with 3D-printed respiratory valves in an inventive plan to keep hospitals supplied at the height of the coronavirus crisis. A Brescia-based startup firm has offered the contraptions for free to local hospitals in the region of Lombardy which is at the centre of Europe's worst virus outbreak. The crucial part of the equipment is the 3D-printed 'Venturi valve', a device named after 18th-century physicist Giovanni Battista Venturi which connects the mask to an oxygen tube. The company is gearing up to make 100 of the chess piece-like valves per day and hand them out to medics

This week, we saw a spate of news stories blaming Democrats’ troubles on their vocabulary. They’re just using too many darn multisyllabic, academic-sounding words and turning off numbskull voters, is the basic message. Seriously? The Democrats’ problem isn’t linguistic, it’s ideological. But no one in the party wants to admit that. A Washington Post story this week – “Democratic troubles revive debate over left-wing buzzwords” – begins by saying: Maybe it’s using the word ‘oligarchs’ instead of rich people. Or referring to ‘people experiencing food insecurity’ rather than Americans going hungry. Or ‘equity’ in place of ‘equality,’ or ‘justice-involved populations’ instead of prisoners.

What should have been a solemn tribute to the men and women who laid down their lives for this country turned into yet another chapter in the Biden family memoir. The Justice Department on Thursday formally notified the American Bar Association that it will no longer comply with its ratings process for judicial nominees, the result of what it argues is a biased system and one that "invariably and demonstrably" favors nominees put forth by Democratic administrations. The Department of Justice said it will no longer grant the ABA the "special treatment" and first access it has received, revoking decades of precedent where the ABA interviewed and vetted potential members of the incoming DOJ team. House Republicans likely dodged a political bullet when they opted against including tax hikes on the wealthy in this year’s reconciliation bill. Trump promised his voters across-the-board tax cuts while campaigning, but once confronted with the difficult math of paying for his expensive agenda, the president — and some members of the GOP caucus — began to wobble. So long as Senate Republicans stick with their colleagues in the lower chamber and avoid adding tax hikes to the “big, beautiful” bill, they’ll avoid paying a steep political price at the ballot box.

Sometimes, the smartest PR strategy is to tell the truth. It happens a lot that, of all the options available, telling the truth is your best choice. Clients hate that! “Why the hell am I paying you money if I’m just gonna tell the truth?! I could’ve done that on my own!” They’re disappointed if there’s no smoke, mirrors, or magic act. Alas, most of the time, a client’s PR options are finite. The “facts on the ground” almost always limit your choices. I can’t “sell” a story that isn’t credible, so reality keeps you grounded — especially in an outcome-based endeavor like PR. Trust me on this, folks:
