This week six London councils united to protest against new rules on single-sex spaces.
These were Lambeth, Waltham Forest, Southwark, Hackney, Haringey and Lewisham, which are apparently “boroughs with some of the highest trans and non-binary communities in the country”.
“Trans men are men, trans women are women”, chant the councillors in a video posted on social media, in which they individually deliver dramatic lines (full script below):
Councillor Paul Perkins, Leader, Waltham Forest Council (Green): “We serve 1.7 million Londoners and pledge to be boroughs of sanctuary for our trans, non-binary and intersex communities.”
Councillor Martin Abrams, Leader of Lambeth Council (Green):

“Politically correct.” I was introduced to that fatuous phrase about 35 years ago while watching an episode of the television series Thirtysomething. The following day, I mentioned it in a casual conversation with a colleague. Confessing that I had never before heard the expression, I told her I found an astounding clumsiness in its construction. “(The character) said it without a hint of irony,” I complained. “Isn’t ‘politically (long pause) correct,’ a contradiction in terms?”
“Not at all,” she educated me. “We used it all the time at Occidental,” explaining everything I needed to know. “Some things simply cannot be said,” she continued, “or even thought.”

The Islamic Republic of Iran and its proxies have... been targeting their neighbors' civilian infrastructure. Perhaps to these countries, a "deal," even a bad one, sounds as if it might free them of Iranian threats without any cost. Their security calculations have to be quite different from ours: Why not just sit back and let America and Israel do all the heavy lifting?
The problem, of course, as the US has seen again and again, like Charlie Brown's football, is that any deal signed with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) would only postpone its threats to the oil and gas infrastructure of neighboring countries.

President Donald Trump got handed an ugly jobs headline Friday. The economy lost 23,000 payroll jobs in July, and revisions erased another 103,000 jobs from May and June. That can't be dressed up; a weak jobs report is a weak jobs report.
But buried one line deeper is a number worth noticing. Private employers added 30,000 jobs in July while government payrolls fell by 53,000. If government employment had simply remained flat, the headline number would've been a gain of 30,000 jobs.
Statistics can tell very different stories depending on where somebody stops reading. The easiest headline is "23,000 jobs lost."
It's accurate, but so is "private employers added 30,000 jobs."

Staten Island patriot artist and relentless Trump-supporting activist Scott LoBaido suffered cardiac arrest Tuesday night at a pro-police National Night Out Against Crime event after attempting to confront radical socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and later revealed from his hospital bed that he “actually died for 2 minutes.”
LoBaido, 61, the hard-charging conservative known for his massive American flag murals, anti-left stunts, and fierce defense of cops and America, collapsed at the Midland Beach boardwalk event in Staten Island shortly after Mamdani was mercilessly booed off the stage by the crowd.

We’re hearing a lot of charges since Oct. 7th that Israel has committed a litany of war crimes. Let’s examine them very carefully because I think they tell us more about the accuser than they do the accused.
We’re told by a lot of representatives in our own Congress, mostly on the Democrat side, not all—Tucker Carlson, for example, Candace Owens, but also Zohran Mamdani and others have said that Israel is an apartheid state. In other words, it has racial enclaves.
But there’s nothing in the Israeli constitution that requires you to be Jewish. In fact, there’s 2 million Arabs living freely, voting freely inside Israel.

Some blockbuster news is dropping Wednesday night as pertains to the ongoing congressional investigations into Anthony Fauci: a copy of the diminutive doctor's COVID-era phone has landed in the hands of the Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, which is chaired by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI).According to an exclusive report in the Wall Street Journal, the phone was handed over by the Department of Health and Human Services, and is likely to contain additional records about Fauci's conduct during the pandemic. This comes a week after Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) publicly released an archive of documents related to Fauci's handling of COVID, including his diaries.

Efforts to advance the SAVE America Act received a boost on Wednesday afternoon following what Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, described as a “very productive” Senate Republican meeting. Lee said discussions have moved in a “very favorable direction.”
“We’re talking now much more about how best to do this—not whether to stay and work on the SAVE America Act, but what procedural vehicle to use in order to get this thing done,” Lee said after the meeting.
The procedural vehicle Lee referenced is the $95 billion House-passed budget resolution, a potential reconciliation package in which portions of the SAVE America Act could be included.

They got the last laugh.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani was battered by boos before he quickly exited the stage in Staten Island Tuesday night at one of the Big Apple’s pro-police celebrations.
A smiling Hizzoner was forced to offer up some abbreviated remarks at the Midland Beach boardwalk for the NYPD’s 43rd Patrol Borough National Night Out Against Crime where some 3,500 residents and families had gathered to celebrate, the Staten Island Advance reported. His appearance drew loud jeers and a tirade of profanities from attendees as the Democratic socialist made his way up to the podium — with some shouting him down to leave, social media videos show.

A socialist Dem running for Wisconsin governor became visibly uncomfortable and served up a word salad when asked whether she still stands by her call to “cancel Thanksgiving” because it is “celebrating colonialism.” At the height of the Covid pandemic, Francesca Hong, who is the frontrunner to become the Democratic nominee in America’s Dairyland, said that the beloved holiday needs to be scrapped, and that America “should have done this in 1621.” She added: “If it takes a worldwide pandemic for us to realize we should stop celebrating colonialism and the original superspreader event that killed Indegenous [sic] folx [sic] and women so be it.”

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez broadly blasted fellow European leaders for their response to the surge of tens of thousands of migrants from Morocco to the Spanish border, seemingly criticizing Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for deciding to resume European border controls in the wake of the incident.
Sánchez appeared to take issue with Italy's decision to temporarily suspend Schengen Area free-travel arrangements with Spain. The Schengen Area is an agreement between 29 European countries that abolishes passport controls and allows people to travel across European borders without providing documents.
"In the current international context, the European Union cannot afford this kind of selfish, polarising and unlawful reaction,"
