A failed AI chatbot project? They never learn. Several years ago, LAUSD distributed tens of thousands of iPad Tablets to students, modified to block access to porn or other inappropriate sites. Not surprisingly to anyone with any common sense, it didn't take long for someone with some smarts to unblock the filters and share the how-to with the rest of the student population. Realizing that this wasn't going to work as planned, the district recalled all the tablets. And just as not surprisingly, many of the students had "lost" theirs.

Unsuccessful 2024 Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris says the word “hope” should be “changed to a verb.” One problem with that. It already is. Hope can be used as both a noun and a verb. Don Lemon, her host on his podcast that appeared over the weekend, did not point that out. But those on social media, where the comment has gone viral, did as the sound bite was reposted on numerous X accounts. “It’s a noun: ‘I have hope that she never runs for any government office again,’” one user posted to X.

When the Democrats nominated Barack Obama to represent their party in the 2008 presidential election many voters consoled themselves with this thought: “Well, at least it’s not Hillary.” Unfortunately, preventing her from taking up residence in the White House was the last useful thing he did for the country. Indeed, from the moment he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize during his first year in office—before he could possibly have done anything noteworthy—it became clear that there would be a huge gap between his actual accomplishments and the celebration of his presidency.
