As he prepared to sign his “memorandum of understanding” with the Islamic dictatorship of Iran, President Trump again insisted that his deal was much different than that of his predecessor, President Barack Obama.
He’s right — it’s probably worse.
Obama’s treaty did not prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, it simply punted the issue down the road in exchange for cash.
Trump’s agreement has the same vague promises, the same payouts, but with the added twist that Iran can and will take the world hostage by shutting the Strait of Hormuz at will.
On Friday, just days after the signing of the MOU, Iran moved to close the Strait,

Here's what I think is happening, this 'deal' is to help drive down gas prices and inflation, to help keep the Pubbies in power. Once the election is over, I expect that Iran will break the deal, and then we can finally rid ourselves of the curse that Jimmy Carter gifted the world...

Not sure how the NY Post can continue to shout (this is their second editorial in as many days) that Trump's deal is worse than Obama's when the Iranian army, navy, air force are destroyed and vast sections of Iran's military infrastructure and their nuclear ambitions are smoldering messes. This is a very messy situation. I believe, President Trump is trying to salvage legitimate Iranian assets for what he hopes someday the Persian/Iranian people will be able to takeover and thrive. He can bomb away, NY Post, but rebuilding that country will take decades and the result will be a humanitarian crisis that will throw that region of the world into even more chaos. I don't think any US President has been willing to walk this dangerous tightrope as President Trump. Let's continue to give this guy support and time. God bless you, President Trump.

The authors are correct. Not only is it a worse deal than Obama’s it is a more devastating strategic blunder than Biden’s Afghan withdrawal. But Trump got a shiny Muslim Force One aircraft out of the “deal”.

#1 and #3, I believe, judging by you, that there are no patriots left. Or people with perspective for that matter.

Please tell me what I am missing #4 and what the proper perspective should be? Because I dearly want this situation to be other than how it appears.

It was all just for show. There was no deal. Of course, all the Trump critics will claim it's real because it suits them.

A memorandum of understanding is not the "deal". Its just the agreement to allow negotiations for a deal to move forward.
And for the record.... shutting down the strait in no way, shape or form rises to the level of mushroom clouds over Telaviv or NYC. The strait is NOT America's concern. This is a concern for the bordering countries that should police their own waterway.

The media needs to keep their pants on and wait for it. They have no idea what the deal is, and the Iranians will find out their neck is still in a vice, where they are accomplishing nothing but hanging themselves.

That "Deal" was a trap and Iran fell for it. Now the world knows you can't trust anything Iran says and they will pay for this stunt.

Muslims are liars. That is well established fact. All this means is we have the opportunity to track down more of the Mullahs, and eliminate them. And perhaps IRGC leaders.
Eventually, we'll kill them all, and normal people can get back to living.

That cliché about, Americans liking simple solutions right away, has been true for a long time and TV stokes that fire, while social media pours gas on it. IF the Iranian hard liners left want to start a war with the US military, they will find out just how isolated they are. Their drones will not work, their navy is gone, and if they attempt to launch a missile, that site will be erased. Their allies are one, China, and China is in a pinch point, if the US allies shut down the oil island that is the only way Iran moves oil.
All the editors of NYC and the sudden critics with hair on fire, failed for 47 years to control Iran. THIS President has the mullahs hiding in caves, and is swatting down anything the Iranian military tries. The terrorist allies of Iran are trying to start another war, and they will also be either eliminated or sent back to the caves. Meanwhile, your gas just dropped a dollar, so the correct response is, ' Thank You.'
