Fox Corp. has agreed to buy the streaming pioneer Roku in a cash-and-stock deal valued at approximately $22 billion, including debt.
Roku will continue to be run as an open, partner-friendly platform, the companies said Monday, and there appears to be no immediate changes that customers will see. Fox and Roku said that the combined company will become the third-largest player in U.S. television by share of viewing.
Media reports had surfaced on Friday that Roku was looking at its strategic options, including a possible sale. Speculation was rampant as to which companies might be interested in an acquisition.

An American man has been arrested in Colombia after being caught allegedly sexually abusing a child on a balcony in footage that outraged the South American nation.
Colombian authorities said they arrested the man, described as a 36-year-old from Texas, on Sunday after footage of the act went viral across social media.
The suspect, whose name has not been publicly identified, was seen allegedly sexually abusing a seven-year-old boy on a balcony in the capital Bogota in broad daylight.
Stunned passersby screamed at the man from the street during the heinous episode, with one woman screaming: ‘He’s abusing the child!’

An incredible evening of patriotism that is purely American at the White House as President Trump and the UFC organization participate in the UFC Freedom 250 celebration.
It was completely over the top American. The UFC octagon created at the White House for the event. Highlight of the opening ceremony below. (Videos_

Democrats were throwing tantrums on Sunday as the Ultimate Fighting Championship event went down at the White House. UFC Freedom 250 was everything you would expect: loud and brimming over with patriotism, with every fight ending in a knockout, even capped off with some terrific fireworks.
As we reported, Hillary Clinton was one of the tantrum throwers, whining about what this was doing to "our house." Many people then reminded her of what she and her husband did to "our house," and that she would never live there again. Liberals did some counterprogramming, having an event in New York City, "Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment."

Last night President Trump hosted the Ultimate Fighting Championship on the White House lawn for a series of seven mixed martial arts bouts. The event was spectacular and went off without a hitch, after a delay for a possible rain shower. I watched the first six fights, then went to bed, probably missing the best match. Here are some thoughts:
* I am a boxing fan, but not an MMA fan. To me, MMA is more a gladiatorial spectacle than a legitimate sport. Many disagree, however. MMA includes wrestling and kicking, which we called “chicken fighting” when I was a kid.

A group of graduates walked out of Stanford University’s commencement ceremony Sunday moments after Google CEO Sundar Pichai began delivering his keynote address. Videos circulating on social media showed more than 100 students leaving their seats at Stanford Stadium while chanting, “Free, free Palestine.” The protest was organized by far-left groups including Students for Justice in Palestine and No Tech for Apartheid. They have previously posted images mourning the death of influencers in Gaza who have openly celebrated the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

Spencer Pratt has done it again.
Everyone not living under a rock the last few months knows the onetime reality star turned politics on its head with his spirited insurgent Republican candidacy in the Los Angeles mayoral “jungle” primary.
The outside-the-envelope element of his effort: the gloriously gobsmacking, galvanizing use of crazily creative and enormously entertaining social media ads — both by Pratt’s team and independent influencers. The vignettes leveraged artificial intelligence and Hollywood-level production values to lay bare the devastation and decline delivered by decades of Democratic depravity

Former Interior Secretary Deb Haaland last week won New Mexico’s gubernatorial primary, with a 2-to-1 lead over her opponent. She’ll be up against Republican nominee Gregg Hull in November’s general election. A lot could happen between now and then. But considering the state's political history, there's a good chance Haaland could get elected governor.
On the American energy scene, New Mexico is the second-largest producer behind Texas, pumping out 2 million barrels of oil per day. Two counties in south-east New Mexico account for 78% of all onshore federal oil production, according to the American Petroleum Institute. The Land of Enchantment is a key player in the American energy landscape.

Senior officials in President Joe Biden’s Department of Education defied a federal court order in launching investigations of gender identity and sexual orientation discrimination in schools, according to a federal watchdog finding.
The Office of Special Counsel released a report this week that confirmed the disclosure of Education Department whistleblower Timothy Mattson, who said the department’s Office of Civil Rights unlawfully processed complaints about gender identity discrimination after a federal judge halted an executive order from going into effect that was the basis for the investigations.
According to Mattson’s disclosure, the Office for Civil Rights investigated a school that restricted athletic competition to biological sex.

In the LA mayoral race, it was painful to watch all those Nithya Raman ballots coming in after election day in a "statistically impossible" manner. Why, it looked as if the Democrats were counting up after the election how many ballots were needed to oust Republican Spencer Pratt from second place and the runoff. But there is a silver lining.
MSM reporters have their talking-point orders to question MAGA politicians -- sometimes at the beginning of the interview and often with a smirk on their face -- about Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign or another prominent race:

When I lived in Israel in the early 1960s, I never saw a single “Palestinian.” Not once. Not ever. Why? Because they hadn’t been invented yet. I saw Arabs, as they called themselves, but that was it. I have newspapers from the time to prove it.(Snip)
As I see so many speak about “Palestinians” as though they are a unique people with a unique culture and history and therefore deserving of a state -- taken from Israel -- I must speak up. Because the Palestinian concept did not come about organically. It was created deliberately, with the intent to destroy Israel and Jewish sovereignty. What was the impetus for its invention?

Taxpayers could be left with a big tab if the Obama Presidential Center experiences financial trouble because its foundation has not yet established a promised $470 million safety net to guard against a public bailout.

The US and Iran have reached a peace deal to end their three-and-a-half-month-old war, President Trump announced Sunday evening.
The Strait of Hormuz, which carries 20% of the world’s oil, is set to reopen on Friday when a deal is signed in Switzerland, officials said.
“The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!”

All year the corporate media has produced story after story telling us that Latino voters are suffering buyer’s remorse after voting for President Trump and Republicans in 2024. This, we are told, is due to the failure of the GOP to drive down prices and defeat inflation. This seems plausible, but California’s gubernatorial primary produced no evidence that it is actually true. Indeed, it appears that it was support from Latino voters that enabled Republican Steve Hilton to emerge as one of the top two finishers who will face off in the November general election.
