A host of deep blue states are quietly pulling back from their generous programs of “free” healthcare to migrants as federal dollars dry up and their budgets continue to spiral into the red. With the Trump administration beginning to close the spigot of billions in federal aid that many states lavishly spent caring for illegal migrants, sates including California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oregon Washington, and the District of Columbia are finding that they cannot afford to replace the chocked off federal dollars with their own state budget dollars. This reality setting in has caused state officials to begin scaling back their freebies —

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently arrested Alina Rosales Aguirreurreta, daughter of General Ulises Rosales del Toro, a longtime key figure of the communist Castro regime. ICE sources confirmed to Martí Noticias on Tuesday that Rosales Aguirreurreta, who is a doctor according to past statements from her family, was arrested in Florida. Her 84-year-old father, General Rosales del Toro, is widely described as part of the Cuban regime’s “old guard.” While keeping a relatively low profile from the public,

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has reportedly launched a criminal investigation into E. Jean Carroll, who accused President Trump of sexual assault, according to multiple reports.
CNN was the first to report Wednesday night that the DOJ’s probe focuses on whether Carroll committed perjury while speaking at a deposition as part of her two civil lawsuits against Trump. The Hill has reached out to the DOJ for comment.
Prosecutors are reportedly focused on Carroll telling then-Trump attorney Alina Habba in a 2022 deposition that she received no outside funding for the lawsuit. Two weeks before the trial, though, Carroll’s attorneys informed the judge and Trump’s legal team that billionaire —

A Google software engineer was accused Wednesday of using confidential company information to make over $1.2 million on Polymarket in the second significant criminal case tied to trades on the prediction market platform. Michele Spagnulo, 36, an Italian citizen living in Switzerland, is charged with one count each of commodities fraud, wire fraud and money laundering, according to a federal complaint unsealed in New York City.
Prosecutors accuse Spagnulo of placing a series of bets from October to December based on internal Google search data that tracked user searches.

I’ve said it in pieces on my show for several weeks now: between Memorial Day and July 4.
That is the window.
That is the calendar stretch in 2026 when President Trump needs to land a clear and convincing win on Iran. Not a slogan. Not a “framework.” Not a diplomat’s sentence with nine clauses and no verbs. A win ordinary Americans can understand.Because November is coming.
And politics, unlike cable news, does not wait around for experts to finish explaining why voters should ignore what they feel in their wallets.

After the Ukrainian attack targeting a college dorm that killed 21 students, mostly young women, the Russians vowed ‘strategic’ attacks against decision-making centers in the capital, Kiev.
After Saturday (23), when Mosco unleashed 90 missiles and 600 drones against Kiev, we learned that the attack was just the beginning.
After the Foreign Ministry made a general warning for diplomatic missions to leave the city, and for citizens to avoid Military, Industrial, and Government Sites, we learned today (26) that a more specific warning was transmitted personally to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The attacks were “self-defense strikes” and included “missile launch sites and Iranian boats attempting to emplace mines,” said U.S. Central Command spokesman Navy Capt. Tim Hawkins.
The strikes were in Bandar Abbas, in southern Iran, near the Strait of Hormuz, a defense official said.
There was no announcement of any change in the temporary ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran, which went into effect April 8. “U.S. Central Command continues to defend our forces while using restraint during the ongoing ceasefire,” Hawkins said.

Israel marked Memorial Day on Monday with a video message honoring fallen American troops and emphasizing the solidarity between the United States and the Jewish state.
“Today, on U.S. Memorial Day, Israel stands with America,” Israel’s Foreign Ministry wrote in a post accompanying the video. “We honor the brave men and women who gave their lives defending liberty and protecting the values shared by our free nations.” The video, published across official Israeli government social media accounts, paid tribute to fallen American service members while emphasizing the close alliance between the United States and Israel.

Colombia’s presidential candidates concluded their campaigns this weekend in anticipation of the Sunday, May 31 election. Colombian voters will head to the polls to choose who will succeed Gustavo Petro, the nation’s first leftist president ever, once his term ends in August. The election has been marred by violence for years, beginning with the assassination of conservative presidential frontrunner Sen. Miguel Uribe Turbay. Sen. Uribe, 39 at the time of his death, was shot in the head twice and once in the leg by a child as he held a rally in Bogotá on June 7, 2025.

Most Americans are spending time with their families this weekend for Memorial Day, remembering and honoring those who gave their lives for our country.
But some were busy doing other things. For example, there were activists at the ICE detention center in Newark, N.J., over the weekend. Democratic politicians also made an appearance. Sen. Andy Kim (D-NJ) was trying to get into the facility on Sunday. Kim was back on Monday. Gov. Mikie Sherrill also showed up. The activists were at it again on Monday. Here's one digging up large blocks to help add to their blockade of an exit from the facility.

The story made the absurd claim that “officials closed ranks” around Castro, and added nauseating details as if the outpouring was genuine in a country where free speech is as scarce as gasoline.
“An avalanche of posts from state-run newspapers and high-ranking Cuban government officials showed photographs of Mr. Castro as a young soldier, greeting children, chuckling with brother Fidel, waving the Cuban flag,” the article continued.

Scrambling to repair its mail-ballot boondoggle, the Maryland State Board of Elections began reprinting ballots Thursday, with plans to have more than 500,000 ballots resent to voters by next Friday.
The elections board first announced last week that an undetermined number of mail ballots for the June 23 party primary were sent to the wrong voters, which it blamed on an error. While an undetermined number of voters will be voting a second ballot, the state’s top election official assured the public that only one ballot will be counted per voter for Maryland’s June party primary.
