FIRST ON FOX: Federal officials have served subpoenas to Marxist political influencer Hasan Piker and CodePink cofounder Susan Medea Benjamin as part of a wider investigation into whether U.S. organizations and leaders violated U.S. laws and sanctions in supporting Cuba's communist regime, Fox News Digital has learned.
Piker and Benjamin are among those caught in a federal inquiry into whether activists who traveled to Cuba in March violated U.S. sanctions laws through the financing, coordination or delivery of goods to Cuba, including potential contacts with Cuban government personnel or entities on the island. The administrative subpoenas were sent to the pair by the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control.

A gunman reportedly opened fire outside the White House Saturday evening, getting off about three shots before he was taken down by a barrage from the Secret Service.
The gunman fired near Gate 17 on the building’s West Side shortly before 6:30 pm. and was soon neutralized, Fox News reporter Chad Pergran said, adding that a civilian who was near by was apparently hit in the fusillade.
After the sound of numerous shots rang out, members of the press who were filming on the White House grounds were seen diving for cover and were told by Secret Service to gather on the north lawn and to run into the press briefing room.

President Donald Trump announced on Saturday an agreement has been "largely negotiated" with Iran and several allied nations, signaling a nearing end to the controversial 84-day war.
The president wrote in a Truth Social post that following a "very good call" with leaders from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan and Bahrain, the deal is nearing finalization.
"An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed," Trump wrote in the post. "Separately, I had a call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel, which, likewise, went very well."

Washington — The Trump administration was preparing Friday for a fresh round of military strikes against Iran, according to sources with direct knowledge of the planning, even as diplomacy continued.
No final decision on strikes had been reached as of Friday afternoon.
"Circumstances pertaining to Government" are keeping President Trump from attending his son Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding this weekend, he said in a social media post. The president had planned to spend Memorial Day weekend at his golf property in New Jersey but will now return to the White House.

The 17-year-old suspect accused of launching a random shooting spree across Austin has been identified as an illegal immigrant, prosecutors revealed Tuesday.
Cristian Mondragon-Fajardo is one of three suspects who allegedly carried out 12 separate shootings across the city over the weekend, leaving three people injured and another victim in critical condition. The two other suspects, ages 15 and 16, have not been publicly identified due to their age.
During Mondragon-Fajardo’s court appearance Tuesday, prosecutors disclosed that an ICE detainer had been issued following his arrest Sunday, according to Fox 7 Austin.
"The ICE detainer does add an extra component to his process," Criminal Defense & Immigration Attorney Robert Jimenez said.

Democratic California gubernatorial candidates Xavier Becerra and Tom Steyer are both under accusations they improperly paid social media influencers to boost their bids — but another front in the social media wars between the two around fake accounts is also underway, a report claims.
More than 3,000 fake accounts across Instagram, X and Facebook are boosting former Health and Human Services secretary Becerra while attacking billionaire Steyer, according to an analysis by Cyabra, an AI-powered disinformation security company. It’s used by clients like NATO and the US Department of State, its website said.

Another 900,000 have been deported since Jan. 20, 2025, and as of this month, DHS has arrested 900,000 illegal aliens, according to agency figures.

One of the most bizarre trends over the past 60 years or so is the sudden reversal of attitudes among Westerners on the issue of crime.
I'm no social historian, so I can't pinpoint the exact time this reversal happened, and recognize that there is a substantial fraction of people who are as perplexed by this trend as I am, but as a society writ large, we went from "lock 'em up and throw away the key" to "that poor guy, he had a hard life and deserves a break." It used to be uncontroversial to believe that the law-abiding had a right to be protected from criminals

The Republican National Committee ended the month of April with more cash on hand than at any other point in the group’s history, as closely contested midterm elections draw near and the fate of Republicans’s majority in the House and Senate hang in the balance.
The RNC raised $18.6 million in April, bringing its total cash on hand to $123.8 million, according to Federal Election Commission filings.
“Republicans have the candidates, resources, and momentum needed to win the midterms, but we cannot let up now,” RNC Chairman Joe Gruters said in a statement. “Democrats will spend whatever it takes to try to stop President Trump’s America First agenda
