Two Chinese nationals in Virginia face federal money-laundering conspiracy charges connected to two of the world’s most notorious and dangerous Mexican drug cartels, federal prosecutors announced Friday.
Ruhan Zhen and Hongce Wu have been charged by the Department of Justice, accusing the pair of conspiring to launder money in connection with transnational criminal organizations, including the Sinaloa and Jalisco New Generation cartels. Both groups have been designated as foreign terrorist organizations by the Trump administration.

Warsh took the oath of office from Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas in the East Room after President Donald Trump delivered remarks, in which he predicted Warsh “will go down as one of the truly great chairmen of the Federal Reserve that we’ve ever had.”
Warsh was honored to receive the oath from Thomas. He called Thomas “a brilliant and independent thinker, a man dedicated to our Constitution, and no less important, a joyful and collegial presence on our highest court.”
The newly minted Fed chair noted his relationship with former chairman Alan Greenspan, whom President Ronald Reagan appointed to the role in 1987.

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a resolution outlining the locations of drop boxes for the upcoming early-voting period without consulting Recorder Justin Heap.
The board approved the resolution while it continues to deal with an ongoing lawsuit with Heap about who runs specific election functions.
In April, a judge ruled in favor of Heap, saying the board members need to hand over control of specific election functions to his office.
The board sought a stay of the motion, but the Arizona Superior Court denied it. The board then announced it was appealing the lower court’s decision.

This month, Clarence Thomas became the second-longest-serving justice in Supreme Court history.
That milestone would be notable for any jurist.
For Thomas, it marks something more: the vindication of a constitutional vision that, for decades, was caricatured as eccentric, angry or unserious — until the court, and the country, began catching up.
The occasion comes just as Thomas has again demonstrated why his tenure matters.
In this session’s Louisiana v. Callais, the court held that Louisiana’s race-driven congressional map could not be justified by a misconstrued Voting Rights Act.

The figurehead “president” of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, predicted a “bloodbath of incalculable consequences” in the event that America defend itself from a Cuban military attack on Monday, responding to a report claiming the Communist Party is quieting amassing drones to attack Florida. The claim surfaced on the Washington, DC, website Axios, which cited “classified intelligence” by claim that Cuba currently possesses over 300 military drones and is considering bombing Florida. The report blamed Russia and Iran for supplying the technology necessary to make the threat real and claimed that the Castro regime is concerned about the administration of President Donald Trump taking military action against the 67-year-old regime.

One day after President Donald Trump endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) received contributions from donors who have given money to Democrats, Republicans who voted to impeach Trump, and the Never Trump Lincoln Project.
Trump on May 19 endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the primary runoff between him and Cornyn, saying in a post on Truth Social, “Ken is a true MAGA Warrior who has ALWAYS delivered for Texas, and will continue to do so in the United States Senate.”

As RedState’s Ward Clark reported earlier in May, an Iraqi militia commander, part of an Iranian-backed terrorist group called the Kataib Hezbollah, was arrested in Turkey and was shipped to the U.S. to face charges of plotting numerous terrorist attacks, mostly against Jewish targets.
On Friday, The New York Post brought more disturbing details about the militant, 32-year-old Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood al-Saadi, and his diabolical quest to kill the president’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump: He’s allegedly one evil individual:

There’s been a very strange story that was printed not long ago by the liberal opinion journalist Nicholas Kristof. Now, apparently, he’s been retired. He’s written for decades at The New York Times.
He’s sort of a social activist. He does some good things sometimes, but he tries to draw attention of The New York Times readership to supposed crises of morality all over the globe, such as the so-called genocide. And it depends on who you talk to. In Darfur, he visited it very many times. But he’s had a checkered career.

The president issued his call from his Truth Social account on Thursday.
“Big Vote today (48-1!) in the Energy and Commerce Committee on a Bill including The Sunshine Protection Act, which will be making Daylight Saving Time Permanent! This is so important in that Hundreds of Millions of Dollars are spent every year by people, Cities, and States, being forced to change their Clocks,” he wrote.
“Many of these Clocks are located in Towers, and the cost of renting, or using, Heavy Equipment to do this twice a year is prohibitive! The House will be attaching The Sunshine Protection Act to ‘The Highway Bill,'”

Jeff Bezos praised President Donald Trump and hyped up AI during a Wednesday interview. “Trump has lots of good ideas, and he’s been right about a lot of things. You have to give him credit where credit is due,” the Amazon founder said.
I think he is a more mature, more disciplined version of himself than he was in his first term,” Bezos said of President Trump during an interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box co-host Andrew Ross Sorkin. Trump has lots of good ideas, and he’s been right about a lot of things. You have to give him credit where credit is due,” the Amazon founder continued.

A Supreme Court ruling handed down on Thursday may end up being worth hundreds of millions of dollars for the Havana Docks Corp.
In 1960, after the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro’s regime simply took the company’s facilities and made them its own. That’s communism for you, folks. Like democratic socialists Zohran Mamdani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, they may have big smiles, but in the end, they want to take your stuff. Decades later, the overlords decided to let major cruise lines use the docks, but those cruise lines never paid a dime to the rightful owners.
The SCOTUS ruling could change that:

House Democrats joined six Republicans on Thursday to derail legislation advancing the long-delayed Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum after Republicans added language clarifying that the museum would focus on biological women.
The bill failed in a 216-204 vote, despite years of bipartisan support for the project. The legislation had been spearheaded by Rep. Nicole Malliotakis.
The collapse came after Republicans amended the proposal to specify that the museum would be dedicated to “preserving, researching, and presenting the history, achievements, and lived experiences of biological women in the United States.” The revised legislation also prohibited the museum from portraying “any biological male as a female.”
