The elections board first announced last week that an undetermined number of mail ballots for the June 23 party primary were sent to the wrong voters, which it blamed on an error. While an undetermined number of voters will be voting a second ballot, the state’s top election official assured the public that only one ballot will be counted per voter for Maryland’s June party primary.

Decades ago, I remember reading an article in Newsday, a newspaper based on Long Island and at that time the eighth largest daily in the country. It was a first-person admission of the writer’s irresistible attraction to morbidly obese women. After several family members and friends encouraged him to figure out his obsession by going into therapy, he assented and entered not typical once- or twice-a-week therapy, but five-times-a-week psychoanalysis.
In the article, he described the immense benefits he derived from his 20-year commitment to this form of therapy and how it helped his relationships with his parents, his job, and his self-confidence.
The massive social‑services fraud carried out in Gov. Tim Walz’s Minnesota has been one of the top stories of the year as “The Quality Learing Center” came into our national lexicon and people like Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN-05) kept saying, “nothing to see here, folks.”

That is, as someone once said, a big freakin' deal. Director Patel's post is on the long side for X, but it's worth the look: That's a good thing; these indictments should be followed by a swift trial and, if the accused are convicted, lengthy prison terms.

A Rhode Island teenager who was out on bail for a gun charge was charged Friday in connection with the stabbing of three people as hundreds of teens crowded the beach
Willy Medina, 18, was identified as a suspect in the stabbing that broke out at Narragansett Town Beach just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Narragansett Police Department.
