Camille Kiefel, 36, filed a malpractice lawsuit against two Oregon therapists whom she alleges inappropriately approved her for the surgery after brief telemedicine sessions, despite her history of mental health diagnoses that included trauma, depression, suicidal ideation and ADHD.

No one asked me but I'm not sure I agree with this. Where is the personal responsibility for the 'victim?'

It's always easier to blame others for the bad decisions an individual makes. Yes, #1, self-responsiblity comes to mind.

President Donald Trump said Thursday that he will try to attend his eldest son's wedding in the Bahamas this weekend but warned that he might not make it because of the ongoing conflict in Iran and "other things." News outlets reported this week that Donald Trump Jr. is expected to marry his fiancee Bettina Anderson, a Palm Beach socialite, in a small wedding on a private island on Saturday. The president did not share an opinion of his son's fiancée but said that he hopes the pair have a "great marriage."

Georgians handed Democrats a decisive defeat on Tuesday by reelecting two Republican-backed candidates in a pair of highly contested state Supreme Court races. In one race, incumbent Justice Charles Bethel is projected to defeat leftist Miracle Rankin. Unofficial results show the former beating the latter by 2.2 points, with more than 95 percent of votes tabulated as of publication, according to The New York Times. Meanwhile, incumbent Justice Sarah Hawkins Warren is projected to defeat left-wing candidate Jen Jordan in a massive landslide.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger became the latest enemy of President Donald Trump’s to lose a Republican primary on Tuesday. Billionaire Rick Jackson and Lt. Gov. Burt Jones advanced to a runoff election for the GOP nomination for Georgia governor — locking out Raffensperger, who rose to prominence defending Georgia’s 2020 election results but struggled to gain traction among his party’s increasingly MAGA base.

Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., on Friday announced he would end his reelection bid after Republicans in the state redrew his Memphis-centered district. State lawmakers redrew their congressional maps in the wake of the Supreme Court's ruling in Louisiana v. Callais that narrowed Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act and barred race-based congressional districts. Cohen cited the changes to his district boundaries in making the decision, Fox News reported.

A former Black Lives Matter activist-turned-conservative influencer blasted the social justice organization as a “scam” — and insisted that Democrats are the party of “racism and violence.” Xaviaer DuRousseau, 29, revealed that he did a complete 180 from his liberal upbringing during the 2020 George Floyd riots as he realized that the movement was a money grab and that he was indoctrinated. “Once I started looking at the conservative side of the argument, I started realizing, oh, wait, socialism has literally never worked. We haven’t seen or heard much from former California Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA-14) since he abandoned his gubernatorial run and resigned from Congress in disgrace in April amid allegations of sexual abuse and rape. For a few days after the scandal broke, he holed up in the mansion of his buddy, billionaire Stephen Cloobeck — but then lefty timeshare titan turned on him, kicked him out of his house, and demanded that he return $1 million in donations. Now it’s Cloobeck’s turn to feel the heat, as he was arrested in West Hollywood Tuesday and charged with a felony for attempting to prevent or dissuade a victim or witness from testifying.

Something big is on the horizon — and the people saying so aren't fringe voices on a podcast. They're senior Trump administration officials. Monica Crowley, the U.S. government's chief of protocol, dropped a significant claim on Wednesday: hard evidence that Donald Trump won the 2020 presidential election is coming, and it's coming soon. "He did win in a landslide, and we will soon be able to give evidence about that," Crowley said. Now, she didn't lay out a timeline or spell out exactly what the evidence would look like, but the message was clear.

Sen. Cassidy’s vote in favor of moving forward with the Iran War Powers Resolution comes days after he lost his reelection bid to Trump-endorsed Rep. Julia Letlow (R-LA), and Louisiana Treasurer John Fleming. The Senate voted 50-47 to move the War Powers Resolution out from the Senate’s Foreign Relation Committee, with Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Susan Collins (R-ME), Rand Paul (R-KY), and Cassidy voting with the Democrats, CBS News reported.

The parliamentarian serves at the pleasure of the Senate Majority Leader, who can instruct the Senate Secretary to dismiss the official at any time. Trump expressed frustration in a post on Truth Social that Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) has refused to take this step, raging that the “Dumocrats cheat, lie, and steal, especially when it comes to Votes in Elections, but stick together, whereas the Republicans allow the Elizabeth MacDonoughs of the World to stay in power, and brutalize us.”

I am willing to assume that there was a time when the NAACP did some good. (I do not make the same assumption about the SPLC.) But that time is long, long gone. For many years, the NAACP has been a force for ill, not for good. An excellent example is its just-launched boycott campaign: The NAACP is calling on Black athletes and fans to boycott the athletic programs of public universities in states that are taking steps that the nation’s oldest civil rights group says are restricting Black voting rights. There is no conceivable theory on which anyone is restricting black voting rights. Launched Tuesday, the “Out of Bounds” campaign urges prospective

Under the U.S. Constitution, anyone who is not a "natural-born citizen" is barred from becoming president or vice president. Now, a House Republican wants to expand that requirement to much of the federal government. Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., plans to introduce a joint resolution Wednesday proposing a constitutional amendment requiring members of Congress, federal judges and other Senate-confirmed appointees to be natural-born citizens. The proposal would affect more than a dozen naturalized citizens currently serving in Congress, including several Republicans. Mace, who is running to be South Carolina’s next governor, suggested that the country’s nearly 25 million naturalized citizens, who made the deliberate choice to become Americans, may have divided loyalties.
