Falco Holsters Announces Four New Hybrid Holsters

Original Article

Back in December, I wrote about a holster protecting a gun from a vehicle fire. That holster, made by Falco, introduced me to the company and the fact that they use heavy-duty leather for many of their offerings. But they also use kydex for some products, which has some advantages, too. Leather is sexier, in my book, but kydex is lighter and thinner. So what do you do? Well, hybrids exist that use both, and Falco has a few already, but in a press release, they announced four more offerings.

Looks real good, OP. Thanks for sharing. Yeah, #1. The Glock 29 Gen4 would be a heckuva pickup. Together with OP's recommended holster, this would make for a rather handsome pair. Happy shopping, gents and gals.

Thanks to OP for some useful information. The G29 is a 10mm, the most powerful cartridge for a normal pistol. Hold on tight.

Sorry for the second post. I currently have a Glock 20 #5 but it’s just too dang big to fit in my purse. Or my waist. I did buy a Rugar LCP (.380) but it’s too small. I think the Glock 29 will be the perfect Goldilocks gun.

Of all the common semiauto cartridges, the 10mm is by far the most powerful, approximately equal to the revolver .357 Magnum cartridge. 10mm pistols have killed brown bears and mooses. For normal self defense, 9mm (9x19 mm) is probably nearly as good. The .380 round (a short 9mm at 9X17 mm) is effective, if aimed right. Anything less (.32, .25, .22) than .380 I would not recommend for self defense.

I’ve always been a leather holster guy. I never considered those “plastic” holsters as real. Then a few months ago I bought my first striker-fired 9mm auto, a SIG P365. I needed a holster and belt. SIG’s website made it easy; I got a new infinitely adjustable belt ( which I wear all the time) and a Kydex holster that fits the gun perfectly and is comfortable to wear. I’m a believer.

The MTA and unions representing LIRR workers reached a deal to end the railroad strike, officials announced on Monday. “Tonight, the @MTA reached a fair deal with the five LIRR unions that delivers raises for workers while protecting riders and taxpayers,” Gov. Kathy Hochul wrote in a statement. I’m pleased to announce that phased LIRR service will resume beginning tomorrow at noon.” The short-lived strike began at 12:01 a.m. Saturday and wreaked havoc, especially on Monday when hundreds of thousands of commuters were forced to either find travel alternatives or work remotely. Some Long Islanders spent two grueling hours on the road just to catch shuttle buses into Manhattan for “nightmare” commutes.

few weeks into President Donald Trump's second term, his crackdown on illegal immigration netted an unexpected yield: a former Cuban fighter pilot who had been allowed into the United States under President Joe Biden and was trying to get permanent residency. The 2025 arrest of Luis Raul Gonzalez-Pardo Rodriguez, officials told Just the News, set in motion an extraordinary set of events inside the U.S. intelligence community, the FBI, and the U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami that could yield the unveiling of an indictment as early as Wednesday of former Cuban President Raul Castro on murder, conspiracy,

California Republicans are showing a sharp increase in early primary turnout ahead of the state’s upcoming gubernatorial primary, according to newly released ballot return data. Figures from research firm Political Data Inc. show that 905,889 ballots had already been returned as of Saturday. Republicans accounted for 37 percent of those ballots. This marks an 11-point increase compared with the same stage of the 2022 midterm cycle. Democrats accounted for 41 percent of returned ballots, down 13 points from the equivalent point four years ago. Independent and other voters made up 22 percent, up slightly.

As China rolls out the red carpet for President Trump and his high-powered delegation in Beijing this week, the world’s two superpowers are locked in a high-stakes contest that spans trade, technology, military posture, and ideology. President Trump and Chairman Xi Jinping may exchange warm handshakes and speak of “great personal relations,” but both men understand the reality: there can be only one global leader. The contest is real, and the stakes could not be higher. Democratic pundits and their media allies are already spinning a familiar narrative. They insist Trump arrived in Beijing weakened—

A federal jury convicted Bock in March 2025 on seven counts tied to wire fraud, conspiracy, bribery, and federal program fraud. Prosecutors said the Minnesota nonprofit helped drive a $250 million money scheme that stole money meant to feed children during the pandemic. Her sentencing before U.S. District Judge Nancy Brasel is scheduled for May 31. Now Bock has pointed at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.),

Witt, 47, served in the U.S. Air Force from 1997 to 2008 and later worked as a government contractor until 2010. Each time, the regime responded with ruthless massacres... Millions of unarmed civilians, no matter how courageous, cannot easily overcome such force. Iran's regime continues its anti-American posture, support for proxies, and internal repression. It does not seek to reform, it seeks rearmament and revenge. Two recent news items have spurred the return of the tariff issue to the front burner of American politics. First (at the time of writing), President Trump will attend a summit with People’s Republic of China (PRC) President Xi Jinping in May. Second, U.S. Steel has announced plans to resume operations at its Gary, Indiana, tin mill. And, again, one will hear the Free Traders shrilly bemoaning how “tariffs are a tax on consumers.” If one were to honestly accept the Free Traders’ logic that a company passing off its costs of compliance with a federal statute and/or regulation on to consumers constitutes a “tax,”

For a sense of how bereft the Democrats are of credible leaders and sensible policy ideas all one has to do is listen to the remarks of former Vice President Kamala Harris on the Win with Black Women podcast. She proposed a “no bad ideas brainstorm” in which Democrats would discuss “What we need to do, and think about doing, around the Electoral College … expanding the Supreme Court … statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.” Harris, whom most polls of Democrat voters show as the front-runner for their party’s 2028 presidential nomination, said this as if offering fresh ideas.

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was lampooned on social media for using a bulletproof shield on wheels while delivering a race-baiting rant on “voting rights.” The clown show unfolded Saturday at a rally in Montgomery, Alabama, where the Bronx Bolshevik tried to incite left-wing outrage following a Supreme Court decision repudiating race-based congressional redistricting as unconstitutional. The most notable part of AOC’s staged stunt was her absurd use of a portable bulletproof glass panel divider. “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez champions defunding the police, open borders, and abolishing ICE, yet she shields herself behind bulletproof glass,” one X commenter wrote. “The hypocrisy is hard to ignore.”

Three suspects, including two teenagers, committed a staggering 12 shootings in the Austin area over the weekend. The Texas governor wants to see them behind bars for a long time, instead of released as “misguided minors” to shoot more people. The 15-year-old stole his gun on Saturday from the exact same store where the 17-year-old accomplice had already stolen a firearm. There was a warrant out for the latter’s arrest over the theft. ABC7 KATV did not provide names for any of the suspects, but merely said that the third suspect fled the vehicle when officers stopped it to arrest the teenagers. Cohen (D-Tenn.), the sole Democrat in Tennessee’s congressional delegation, lamented the Republicans’ revamping of the Volunteer State’s 9th district, which is majority minority, and railed against redistricting as “bad for democracy.” “I’m upset by this,” the now-outgoing Democrat bemoaned to NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo on Friday. “And I don’t get the criticism of stand and fight.” Why would you fight when they changed the district and there aren’t enough votes for you to win? That’s silly.” Cohen, who has repped the Memphis-centered district since 2007,
