Schools use copyright laws to deny parents'

The Supreme Court reaffirmed parental rights in public schools and access to federal courts this year, reinstating a permanent injunction against California's so-called gender secrecy policies that hide students' gender identity from their parents and authorizing pro-life pregnancy centers to sue New Jersey in federal court to stop speech-chilling subpoenas. Now a Kentucky mother is asking the high court to resolve a related jurisdictional issue that could not only gut the right to know what their children are experiencing in public schools, but give all public entities a convenient path to deny public records requests.

On the serious side, there needs to be an indisputable right for parents to receive "fair use" copies of the materials that are presented to their children at school.

When did parents give up parenting rights to educators. I don’t recall singing or voting to have my children controlled by a teacher, or a school board member. Do these new rules apply to teachers kids. Or just mine. We need to get rid of school boards and get parents in control of educators.

Abolishing the public school system would stop all of this nonsense and abuse. The money saved could pay for the best private schools in the world instead of providing substandard, failing systems for top dollar as well as cutting off millions of dollars to democrats through teachers unions.

The so-called public school system insisting on privacy demonstrates once again that it is an oxymoron run by oxymorons. I had perhaps four public school teachers who were worth anything at all in real life. My experience with the rest was that they were time serving non-entities who wanted Summers off. Fortunately, as a student I made their lives as miserable as they made mine. Two retired forever from teaching. #1 above made me smile a lot. Kids can be pretty ruthless with strangers tried to tell them what to do and think. One of the things I think we often miss is how much children resent indoctrination attempts from adults who clearly don't know better. I was raised in a socialist environment by committed left-wing losers who couldn't have done more to recruit me on behalf of the Reagan Revolution. And to be fair, all four exceptional teachers I mentioned three were probably liberals, and at least one was a homosexual. But they would never, ever, have let us know that. They were teachers first, everything else second. We need more people who've accomplished something in real life teaching our kids, and fewer people with so-called education degrees.

A total of five people including two teenaged gunmen are dead after an active shooter situation at a San Diego mosque drew a massive police presence, police sources told The Post Monday. One of the victims was a mosque security guard who “played a pivotal role in assisting, this could have been worse,” said a San Diego police officer at the press conference. The suspects, believed to be aged 17 and 19, died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds, police said during a press conference. They fled in a white BMW and were found dead inside the vehicle. Two other adults were killed at the mosque by the gunmen, police said.

few weeks into President Donald Trump's second term, his crackdown on illegal immigration netted an unexpected yield: a former Cuban fighter pilot who had been allowed into the United States under President Joe Biden and was trying to get permanent residency. The 2025 arrest of Luis Raul Gonzalez-Pardo Rodriguez, officials told Just the News, set in motion an extraordinary set of events inside the U.S. intelligence community, the FBI, and the U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami that could yield the unveiling of an indictment as early as Wednesday of former Cuban President —

They don't seem as reticent to hide their outsourcing of curricular decisions to a progressive group that went from fighting the Ku Klux Klan to allegedly funding the Klan's progeny to create the appearance of a thriving white supremacy movement and thereby goose its fundraising and swing Southern elections.

Revealingly, while Belgium's Press Ethics Council did not trust readers with Vance's speech on the factual lack of freedom of speech in Europe, the Belgian courts had no issues with a magazine column that incited violence against Belgian Jews. On one hand, the public cannot be trusted with information that has not been chewed up and curated for them beforehand, including an unfiltered speech by Vance. On the other hand, screeds inciting violence against Jews are perfectly acceptable, and all at once, out of the blue -- poof! -- suddenly the Belgian judicial system cares about "freedom of speech" if it is spoken by people whose votes are regarded as "necessary."

They argue those costs are especially hitting the trucking industry, where rising commercial insurance premiums can ripple through freight rates, grocery bills, consumer goods and even personal auto insurance premiums. “Abusive litigation practices against the trucking industry

The health news organization STAT was first to report on the exposures. The World Health Organization this week declared the Ebola outbreak in Congo and Uganda a "public health emergency of international concern."
