The news stories are pretty much all the same. Heartless Republicans slashed Medicaid spending and let temporary “enhanced” Obamacare subsidies expire, and now millions are losing health insurance. But buried deep within those stories, if it’s there at all, is the fact that when measured properly, enrollment for both programs is up. Here’s a prime example. Axios this week ran a story with the headline “Health program cuts hit home, fueling blame game.” It begins by saying that “Sweeping changes that congressional Republicans made to the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid are starting to take effect,

Obamacare was created on a foundation of lies by its namesake and has crippled the healthcare of working Americans ever since. They are just now figuring out that it's another socialist failure?

The lies won't end or really be debunked until those who've believed the lies admit the truth. And it may never happen - there is too much power in spreading lies.

The Republican leader of South Carolina’s state Senate defied President Donald Trump and voted against a redistricting effort that could have slashed the state’s only Democrat-led congressional district, arguing that “South Carolina is stronger when we have a vibrant Democratic Party.” Contrary to Trump’s wishes, Massey joined four other Republicans in voting against the proposal that would have allowed for the Senate to reconvene later this month for a redistricting effort. The legislature has until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, to approve House-passed changes to the sine die resolution, which would state what the lawmakers can take up after that date.

Former MLB star Noah Syndergaard advised the New York Mets to “stop hanging out with” New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, in response to their performance this season. In an interview with Outkick’s Tomi Lahren, Syndergaard spoke about the New York Mets, and how the team’s performance this season did not make sense to him, given its “payroll.” Currently, the New York Mets are in fifth place in the National League East and have a 16-25 record. “What advice would you give the New York Mets right now? Looking from your position, you know, it could be better,” Lahren said. “Stop hanging out with socialist mayors, I guess,” Syndergaard responded.

On Tuesday morning, New York City’s ultra-progressive mayor, Zohran Mamdani, took to X to take quite a boastful victory lap. “When we came into office, we uncovered a $12 billion budget deficit,” Mamdani posted to X. “Today, I’m proud to say we brought it down to zero.” “We didn’t close the gap on the backs of working people,” he continued. “We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public housing. Call it Pothole Politics. Call it Democratic Socialism. It’s government that delivers for the people who make this city run.” “That’s what New Yorkers deserve. And that’s what we will keep fighting for every single day.”

In explosive testimony before the Senate Homeland Security Committee Wednesday, a CIA official accused the agency of engaging in a COVID coverup well into President Trump’s second administration. In his opening statement, James E. Erdman III alleged that the agency refused to cooperate with a DNI investigation, spied on investigators and retaliated against investigators. Erdman testified that he was assigned to lead the Director’s Initiative Group (DIG) from March 2025 to April 2026 and investigate “COVID’s origins, anomalous health incidents, and unidentified anomalous phenomena.” Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard established the DIG task force in April 2025 to execute President Trump’s executive —

A breaking news alert from Fox News, apparently confirmed by a Republican congresswoman, states that the Central Intelligence Agency went rogue, raiding the office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to seize files. It seems from the Fox News report that the CIA seized the files just now, though a whistleblower from the agency who testified to Congress today referred to the wrongful seizure of files in his testimony. It is therefore not clear if the raid occurred today or before the testimony, or if there was more than one seizure.

President Trump revealed on Monday to reporters why the Iranian people were unable to rise up against the regime during Operation Epic Fury. According to the president, it was not simply because public morale had been crushed following the regime’s harsh crackdown on protests in late 2025 and early 2026. He said a broader U.S. plan to help arm anti-regime forces inside Iran was ultimately derailed by a third party: the Iraqi Kurds, whom the United States had planned to rely on as ground forces in southern Iran.

The Trump administration’s work to pare back waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government has reportedly exposed a vast network of taxpayer-fleecing scams, abuses of immigration, and of the citizenship process across all corners of the United States. The story involves resettled refugees soaking up federal paychecks to run home healthcare and childcare businesses, transnational criminal organizations exploiting food benefit programs, and scammers using fake student profiles to make off with millions in federal student loans. It also involves non-monetary forms of fraud, especially in immigration — legal and illegal alike.

That’s the not-too-believable message from Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Tuesday, who assured voters that despite all they’ve heard about socialism running out of other people’s money, he’d finally gotten around that inconvenient problem. Weeks after warning that New York City faced a “historic” budget crisis and delaying its mandatory submission, Mamdani suddenly announced that he was “proud” to say that the problem was solved. Hamas waged a widespread campaign of rape during the Oct. 7 massacre — including sexual torture designed to destroy entire families — and in the months following, a horrific two-year investigation released Tuesday concluded. The terror group left behind a trail of evidence of its horrifying acts, with the Israeli nonprofit Civil Commission on October 7 Crimes by Hamas against Women and Children unearthing over 10,000 photos and nearly 2,000 hours of footage of the atrocities during its investigation. Over 430 witnesses were also interviewed, who told terrifying tales of terrorists raping and mutilating women both alive and dead, humiliating them sexually,

President Donald Trump is reportedly set to tap long-time Immigration and Customs Enforcement official David Venturella as the agency's next interim chief after acting ICE director Todd Lyons leaves the agency at the end of the month. Lyons is expected to depart ICE on May 31 for a job in the private sector. Trump appointed Lyons to the interim role in March 2025 and he has helped lead the administration's massive illegal immigration crackdown and deportation efforts. A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson confirmed Venturella's expected promotion to CBS News on Tuesday. Venturella has worked for ICE during former President George W. Despite being newly empowered by the Callais v. Louisiana Supreme Court ruling, South Carolina’s Republican-controlled Senate rejected moving ahead with a redistricting plan that would have likely unseated the state’s sole Democrat in Congress, Rep. Jim Clyburn. On Tuesday, the state Senate voted by a 29-17 margin to allow for the General Assembly to work on redistricting ahead of the 2026 elections. This was short of the necessary two-thirds threshold, with five Republican senators defecting.

WASHINGTON — The Congressional Black Caucus, a power center in the Democratic Party for decades, saw its membership rise this Congress to an all-time high of 58 House members. Now, thanks to a Supreme Court redistricting ruling that’s expected to dramatically diminish Black representation on Capitol Hill, the CBC is fighting a five-alarm fire that could devastate its membership. Not long ago, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul told New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani to handle his own mess. Now she's writing him a $4 billion check to bail him out. Mamdani had barely settled into Gracie Mansion before he discovered what socialists always find out: Eventually, you run out of other people's money. His grand campaign promises — you know: free this, universal that — ran headlong into the reality that New York City couldn’t afford all the things Mamdani had campaigned on. So, Mamdani went looking to Albany for a bailout. And, originally, Hochul said no. "The mayor and City Council need to work together, identify savings,

The poll, which surveyed 1,000 Americans over the age of 18, was conducted by NewsGuard and YouGov. It asked people to respond to three statements: "The assassination attempt against Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents Dinner in April 2026 was staged." "The assassination attempt against Donald Trump at a Trump presidential campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024 was staged." "The assassination attempt against Donald Trump at Trump International Golf Club in September 2024 was staged."

Former Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has unveiled a controversial new government initiative aimed at addressing issues in the city. The proposal would provide free dental care to methamphetamine users, funded by taxpayers. During a recent event, Bass shared her latest thoughts on how to tackle the city’s challenges, raising eyebrows as she discussed her approach. “How many people have you met who are homeless and don’t have any teeth?” she questioned. “Their teeth are gone because of meth. It’s hard to succeed without teeth. So, we need to offer comprehensive healthcare for these individuals.”

Several Frontier Airlines passengers suffered minor injuries over the weekend when their plane, departing from the Denver airport, struck a person trespassing on the runway. That person was killed after being hit by the plane's engine, which caused an explosion and fire that aborted the takeoff. That man has now been identified, which is raising questions about whether this was a sinister act, given his extensive criminal history. Authorities said Michael Mott, 41, was the man hit by the plane on May 9. Mott has been arrested 20 times previously, including for attempted murder. He was most recently arrested about a month before he trespassed at the Denver airport.

Even so, on certain topics their ability to reason seems to break down. A couple of months back, the issue of illegal aliens came up. They voiced the usual talking points on the topic: the aliens are just trying to build a better life, they pay taxes, only a few commit crimes, etc. They did not state they are being kidnapped and put in concentration camps.

Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton (R-Crossville) announced Tuesday that Democratic lawmakers will be removed from all current House standing committee and subcommittee assignments following disruptions to last week’s special legislative session on congressional redistricting. The disciplinary action comes after the Tennessee General Assembly approved a new congressional redistricting plan expected to produce a 9-0 Republican congressional delegation. Governor Bill Lee has since signed the map into law. During the three-day legislative session, chaos erupted inside the Tennessee Capitol as Democratic lawmakers and protesters staged loud demonstrations against the proposed redistricting maps.
