The same eagle-eyed journalists who were gobsmacked — gobsmacked, I say! — to discover that Joe Biden’s brain was AWOL are now feigning disbelief over the Eric Swalwell sexual assault allegations. Who knew this young, promising, handsome politician, who was elected to Congress in his early 30s and was poised to become California’s next governor, had such a dark side?
Well, apparently everyone: If true, it sets a peculiar timeline: Swalwell joined Congress in 2013. For over a dozen years, he was a powerful member of the political elite. A popular presence on cable TV shows, Swalwell always made time for the mainstream media.

On Thursday’s broadcast of “CBS Mornings,” New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) said that democratic socialism “is a politics that can flourish anywhere” and at first, he “was told that you could only be a Democratic socialist in Northwest Queens. Then I became the Mayor. Now the next question is the state. Then it’ll be — the next question will be the country.”
Co-host Vladimir Duthiers asked, “After your campaign win, there were a lot of questions about whether Democrats across the country could have similar success. Do you think it’s possible a democratic socialist platform can translate into something that’s electorally viable in a statewide election or a national

President Donald Trump said Friday that Iran “agreed to everything” in negotiations with the United States following a news-packed morning that included the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Trump made the comments to NewsNation’s Kellie Meyer, who called the president after he announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, declaring that the United States will retrieve enriched uranium from sites bombed in Operation Midnight Hammer last June. Trump said, “Yes,” when Meyer asked if Iran agreed to stop enriching uranium.
“They agreed to everything,” he told her.
When Meyer asked him if he was surprised, he said, “I’m not surprised by anything,” and soon ended the call.

Has there ever been an automobile feature as widely despised as the stop-start system that the Obama administration forced on the country? Unlikely. Which is why new federal action that kills the requirement is cause for celebration.
The “feature,” which is the wrong word for what’s truly a nuisance, automatically shuts off a car’s internal-combustion engine when it is idling at a red light or stuck in traffic. It restarts the engine when either the foot comes off the brake pedal or the accelerator is pressed. The action is jerky — it too often feels like a minor collision — distracting and tiring, producing a

A Mexican national illegal alien accused of randomly setting a New York City apartment building on fire that killed four people and injured seven others, could be released back onto the streets as Department of Homeland Security officials say the city is refusing a request to turn him over to immigration authorities.
Roman Amatitla, 38, of Maspeth, is charged with eight counts of second-degree murder and first-degree arson after allegedly lighting a three-story Flushing building on fire March 16, which he selected at random.
Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said that on the day of the blaze, Amatitla entered and exited the Avery Avenue building multiple times,

Former President Barry Obama’s high opinion of himself extends to the $30 admission cost to visit his vast presidential library in the failed Democrat-run city of Chicago.
Oh, but if you live in Illinois, you can visit for free on Tuesdays or enjoy a $4 discount the rest of the week. BUT, you must show ID as proof of residency. So, when it comes to Obama profiting, ID is not racist.
“At $30, adult admission to see the 44th president’s story is more than at any other U.S. presidential library,” reports the Wall Street Journal. “That is 59% higher than the average for presidents from John F. Kennedy through George W. Bush

It's been a while since I've dunked on Meghan Markle, our American Duchess of Nothing, and her hubby, Harry. I've been trying to be good, but these two are on a four-day trip to Australia, which is being described as a "rent-a-royal" tour by royal insiders, and they're making absolute fools of themselves, as they do.
Host Kinsey Schofield told Fox News Digital, "The palace is unhappy about these rent-a-royal tours because it blatantly disregards the late queen’s very specific instruction that there can be no half-in, half-out for the Sussexes."
"All they are doing in Australia is monetizing their titles and clinging to royal relevance,

EL PASO — In the summer of 2025, José, his wife Carolina and their teenage daughter arrived for their first scheduled hearing at an immigration court in downtown El Paso. The family believed they were going to argue their case for political asylum proceedings after fleeing Venezuela. Just over a year earlier, the family had followed the rules the Biden administration had established to enter the U.S.: They made an appointment through the CBP One cellphone application,

Cellular modules manufactured by Chinese companies and embedded in smart home devices represent a significant national security risk to the United States, according to the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
The Hill reports that the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) has released a report warning that two Chinese companies, Quectel and Fibocom, control nearly half of the global market for cellular modules, tiny components that enable smart home devices to connect to cellular networks. This market dominance creates potential espionage and sabotage risks that could have catastrophic consequences for American national security and infrastructure.
The report outlines how these modules are ubiquitous in American life. They are found in common

In one of the most out-of-touch examples I’ve seen of Democrats in recent weeks, we’ve now got Philadelphia mayor Cherelle Parker yelling at her constituents over a new tax she wants on each and every ride-sharing journey: if enacted, all Uber and Lyft rides would have an additional dollar tacked on (to support the dying city education system), which in a substantial number of instances, wouldn’t be a miniscule tax. (The average cost of a rideshare in Philadelphia is somewhere between $16 and $24, or 6.25% and 4%, respectively.)
Parker wonders “how dare” the citizens and voters question how much she wants to take out of their pockets for others’ expenses:

Police fatally shot a woman who they said cut a 3-year-old boy in the face during an alleged kidnapping attempt at a Walmart in Omaha, Nebraska, Tuesday morning. Two officers shot the woman, Noemi Guzman, after she cut the boy and refused to drop a knife she had stolen from the store, the police department said in a news release.
Guzman, 31, made multiple threats with the weapon before the officers opened fire, the department said.
The child was taken to the hospital with a large cut across his face and is expected to recover, Omaha Deputy Police Chief Scott

Democrat Analilia Mejia defeated Republican Joe Hathaway Thursday in the New Jersey special election to replace Gov. Mikie Sherrill in Congress.
Mejia, a former top campaign aide to democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, was projected by the Associated Press to win the race for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District shortly after polls closed at 8 p.m.
With more than half of votes counted, Mejia led Hathaway by a 33 percentage point margin – eclipsing Sherrill’s 15-point victory in the 2024 election. Sherrill also won her current gig by 15 points in last year’s gubernatorial vote.
