The Obama Foundation is looking for 100 unpaid volunteers to work alongside the former president’s highly paid cronies at the $850 million Obama Presidential Center in Chicago when it opens in June.
Officials are pitching the no-paycheck gigs as rooted in former President Barack Obama’s legacy of civic engagement.
The recruitment campaign comes after Fox News Digital reported that the organization’s CEO, former top Obama aide Valerie Jarrett, was paid $740,000 in 2024.
Foundation officials told Fox News Digital the volunteers will complement about 300 full- and part-time employees at the long-delayed center, which the organization is promoting as a $3.1 billion economic catalyst for the Windy City’s South Side.

Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” former Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said President Donald Trump was no longer fit for office.
Buttigieg said, “What I’m worried about is not the soldiers and the people who are serving. What I’m worried about is their political leadership, like Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump. You know, we lived through a war that was sold to us on false pretenses when I was younger. This war has not been sold on any pretense. The president just went ahead and did it. Here’s the biggest thing that has not changed since the war in Afghanistan or the war in Iraq.

LOS ANGELES — Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” was crowned best picture at the 98th Academy Awards, handing Hollywood’s top honor to a comic, multi-generational American saga of political resistance.
The ceremony Sunday, which also saw Michael B. Jordan win best actor and “Sinners” cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw make Oscar history as the first female director of photography to win the award, was a long-in-coming coronation for Anderson, a San Fernando Valley native who made his first short at age 18 and has been one of America’s most lionized filmmakers for decades. Before Sunday, Anderson had never won an Oscar.

Tucker Carlson has announced the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has been monitoring his contacts with people within Iran and is potentially referring the issue to Dept of Justice (DOJ) officials for criminal review.
According to his previous self-admissions, Carlson was strongly against the Trump administration taking military action toward Iran and had travelled to the White House to express that opinion to President Trump. If the CIA was monitoring his contact with officials within Iran, this should NOT come as a surprise.
Given the nature of the conflict both before (during negotiations) and after the military hostilities began (operation epic fury), it would be negligent if the Intelligence Community was not

State legislators recently pelted Greg Lucas, the leader of the California State Library, with questions about the funds during a budget hearing on education, the New York Post reported on Friday. The issue is connected to a foundation started by Parton called Imagination Library, which delivers free books to children. The program was set to be statewide in California in 2023, according to WJHL.
The outlet noted Parton created her library in 1995 to provide free books in her home county in east Tennessee.During the hearing, state Sen. Shannon Grove (R) told Lucas he did not have documentation to show where the money went.

Travelers nationwide are dealing with lengthy security line backups at airports due to the partial government shutdown affecting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and, in turn, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As the shutdown continues, the TSA is increasingly facing staffing shortages that have led to long lines at airport security checkpoints. Unfortunately, it sounds like those staffing issues are only getting worse. “Travelers are facing TSA lines of up to nearly three hours long at some major airports, causing missed flights and massive delays during peak travel,” the DHS said in a statement.

France’s government is bolstering the country’s military presence in the Middle East, dispatching its aircraft carrier and other warships, while President Emmanuel Macron engages with key players in the conflict, including Iran, in a bid to position Paris for future diplomatic talks.
Macron said that France’s military involvement is strictly “defensive” and aims to avoid making the country a party to the war.
He reaffirmed that position after one French soldier was killed Thursday in a drone attack in Iraq.
“We are not at war with anyone,” Macron said.

The rumor that's circulating in Middle Eastern political networks claims that Iranian cleric Hojtaba Khamenei may be in poor condition while he struggles to command respect among key figures inside the regime.
Mojtaba Khamenei remains widely viewed as the center of Iran's leadership after the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who served as Iranian supreme leader for over 30 years and whose death created a sudden leadership vacuum.
Iranian state media later confirmed the killing and declared a 40-day national mourning period as the regime moved quickly to maintain control and reassure supporters that the government remained intact. The Iranian supreme leader has held ultimate authority over Iran's military forces,

Electric vehicles are probably the vehicle of the future, but they are not the vehicle of the present. Let’s look at the numbers.
An EV uses about six cents of electricity to go a mile. That’s if you charge it at home with inexpensive residential electricity rates. It’s more if you use a charging station, and it’s more if it’s a large vehicle like a Rivian. And by the way, be prepared to leave it plugged in for several hours to get it charged.
Gasoline-powered cars use about thirteen cents of gasoline to go a mile, assuming gas is something over $3/gallon and you get something like 25 mpg.

Late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was wary about his son Mojtaba succeeding him because he was not perceived as being particularly intelligent, according a new report. CBS News detailed that Khamenei was also aware of issues in Mojtaba's personal life. However, the outlet added, Trump told people close to him that information conveyed to him about the new supreme leader doesn't matter. He believes the country is operating without a leader and Khamenei could be dead.Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Friday that Khamenei is wounded and likely disfigured. Moreover, a report by British outlet The Sun claimed that the man is in a coma and lost a leg

George Soros’s Open Society Foundations is funding the slavery reparations campaign against Britain. The Telegraph has the story.
The Open Society Foundations (OSF), established by Hungarian investor George Soros and now led by his son, Alex Soros, has donated vast sums from its $23 billion (£17.2 billion) endowment to progressive causes.
The foundation has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars to groups seeking to claim reparations from Britain for slavery and colonialism.
The OSF helped to found a joint Caribbean and African campaign, and supported organisations that are now considering international litigation that could heap pressure on the British Government.

This is no laughing matter. A whopping 94% of the jokes delivered by late-night hosts during the first week of Operation Epic Fury slammed the United States and its allies instead of Iran (snip) according to (snip) MRC Newsbusters. The group's analysts examined 20 episodes of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," CBS's "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert," Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," and NBC's "Late Night With Seth Meyers" and "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" from March 2-5 and found 235 of the 250 jokes (snip) were launched at the U.S., Israel and other Arab nations forced to take defensive action against Iranian attacks.
