By now, we all know that most AI models are, by happenstance or more likely design, purveyors of propaganda. A lot of people rely on AI in the way they have relied on Wikipedia—as a quick and dirty way to access information and get up to speed. More than that, AI is getting baked into everything, which is why so many data centers are being built, and why Big Tech is suddenly less worried about climate change than expanding the power grid as quickly as possible. News is being served to you by AI, and sometimes it is even written by it. It is everywhere, and it's pretty clear

As we’ve documented recently at NewsBusters, CBS’s flagship newscasts have shown little wholesale changes under editor-in-chief Bari Weiss that we both initially saw and as had been reported. Instead, it’s been more of the same liberal drivel. But ironically, there have been a few moments at NBC where it’s come across as this was the network she actually leads and such was the case on Wednesday’s Today in reacting to President Trump’s State of the Union address. While NBC was far from perfect, they were devoid of the negative descriptors and bellyaching we usually see elsewhere at ABC and, as we’ll see in a future post, CBS.

That came just before Trump set his trap on immigration, and before Democrats stumbled into another on crime.

But in the wake of President Donald Trump's closing of the southern border and the deportation of hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants, it turns out that there are plenty of jobs that Americans are willing to do, and a new survey seems to be bearing that out in at least one state. The new survey by the Federal Reserve Bank in Texas shows that many companies in the Lone Star State are reducing their dependence on foreign labor.

According to reports, more than 70 Democrats chose not to attend the speech, but most did, and several times over the course of the evening, they made a choice. They sat. They scowled. They heckled. While Republicans rose time and again in applause, the left side of the chamber looked like a group of children being punished.
And Trump noticed.

Green was seen during the early portion of Trump's speech holding up a "Black people aren't apes" sign. He was ejected soon after:

Montgomery County police said it started around 12:39 a.m., when a large caravan of vehicles tied to takeover activity was spotted heading toward the Silver Spring central business district.
Officers moved to monitor the group and closed several intersections to limit access and protect the public.
By now, the video has gone viral with Trump asking a simple question:
“If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support. The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal immigrants.” With great timing and a gift for performance and storytelling, Trump pauses and lets the applause grow. He luxuriated in the moment as the Democrats sat there, stone-faced, thinking it would play well at MS-Now. It probably will. Trump wanted all of America to see it and remember it. He set a trap. They walked right into it.
“You should be ashamed,” he said.

The City of Champlin voted 3-2 Monday night to continue flying the old Minnesota state flag at city-owned property. The vote came after a discussion which sharply criticized the process that was used to select the new state flag.
