In the race for California governor, so many Democratic candidates have crowded into the contest that party insiders have become fearful of a historic calamity in the making. It’s become mathematically possible that Democrats divide their vote so much that two Republicans advance from the June primary to the general election.
“It’s the parlor game in Sacramento right now — could this happen?” Democratic consultant Paul Mitchell said.
The uncertainty in the outcome stems from the state’s unpredictable “ top two ” primary system. All candidates appear on a single ballot but only the two top finishers advance to the November general election,

In the wake of the Democrats’ successful flipping of a long-held GOP Texas state senate seat, one that President Trump won handily in 2024, many pundits expressed opinions about what happened and who was culpable (Republicans) or commendable (Democrats) for it.(snip) the pressing question remained: is this a palpable sign that the Democrats’ “Long Game” is beginning to turn red Texas purple? Some thought “yes.” Some thought “no.” I thought of California. California is America’s most populous state and arguably also the most Democrat. Along with New York, it is a cornerstone state of the modern Democrat Party. Texas is the second most populous state and arguably the most Republican.

While much of Europe has spent the last decade apologizing for its own existence, Italy just did something totally different, and it’s got a lot of people applauding. Instead of issuing another tired, failed speech about “shared responsibility” and “global migration flows,” Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has just approved legislation that will use the Italian navy to stop illegals from reaching Italian shores in the first place.

You might have guessed by now that most of what the national press reports about President Trump’s immigration crackdown and ICE detentions is either intentionally misleading, lacking context, incomplete, or outright false.
Take the latest media outrage over the arrest and detention of an Irishman named Seamus Culleton, a man who arrived in America 17 years ago, is married to an American citizen, lives in Boston, has work authorization and a pending Green Card application. Culleton came here legally in 2009 on a visa waiver program but overstayed the six-month limit. )snip) an arrest warrant was issued for him by Irish authorities shortly after he arrived in the U.S.

This is one step further than simple Lawfare, this story is about lower court judges openly strategizing ways to stop the enforcement of laws they are supposed to uphold.Last week the Fifth Circuit Cout of Appeals ruled that detaining illegal aliens during the deportation proceedings is entirely following current immigration law [SEE HERE]. Now, according to Politico, federal judges in Texas are openly strategizing ways to work around that higher court ruling and keep giving bond releases to illegal aliens under the guise of “liberty interest.”

Foreign-born Rep. Shri Thanedar openly threatened to prosecute his political enemies this week — a reminder of what Democrats plan to do if they get power back.
During a committee hearing Tuesday, Thanedar — struggling to speak English — threatened to prosecute Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott when President Donald Trump is out of office. (snip)
“You better hope you get pardoned because you will be held accountable for the absolute disregard of the law your agencies have shown over the past year,” Thanedar threatened.
“Your agencies have lost the trust of the American people, with millions taking to the streets to protect the illegal actions of your agencies

Last month, FBI agents executed a search warrant in Union City, Georgia, marking a sharp escalation in scrutiny surrounding Fulton County’s handling of the 2020 election. The FBI has now reportedly substantiated major irregularities in vote counting from Fulton County, Georgia, during the 2020 election and is now investigating whether those errors were deliberate violations of federal law.
An affidavit filed by FBI Special Agent Hugh Raymond Evans last month, which was unsealed Tuesday, lays out five categories of confirmed problems in Fulton County's handling of ballots, raising questions that have simmered for over five years since Trump and his allies raised questions about the election in Georgia and other

I said Monday on Twitter: “Seriously. Correct me if I’m wrong. For more than a decade we have known that billionaire Les Wexner from Victoria’s Secret was the originating money man behind Jeffrey Epstein. This should not be some kind of revelation, as it was widely discussed by those who researched Epstein over a decade ago. Wexner’s money was the originating capital for what would later become Epstein’s influence empire. (snip)
Suddenly, Representative Thomas Massie, a Sea Island asset if ever there was one, is proclaiming the Epstein file information outlining the relationship with Wexner is new information, stunning in scope and worthy of extraordinary time to explore. It’s all weird.

For years, the Super Bowl halftime show has been treated like a national stage. Not just a concert, but a cultural signal. Whoever headlines that show isn’t just performing. They’re being elevated as a representation of where American entertainment has been, and in some ways, where it’s going. In 2019, that totally changed (snip)This week, the NFL, with its $42 million-per man at the wheel, committed another act of putting up while shutting up. It named Jay-Z and his entertainment/rep company Roc Nation to “enhance the NFL’s live game experiences and to amplify the league’s social justice efforts.” Jay-Z also will contribute to and supervise Super Bowl halftime acts.
