Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said Wednesday that his time as an elected official will permanently end when he finishes his term as governor. “I will never run for an elected office again. Never again,” Walz, the 2024 Democratic vice presidential nominee, said in an interview with MS NOW. Walz had said this month that he would not seek re-election as governor — sending shock waves through state and national politics — but he did not go so far as to say he would not consider another elected position down the line. In explaining his decision Wednesday, Walz talked about the

New York City (NYC) Mayor Zohran Mamdani cast blame on former NYC Mayor Eric Adams for the city’s $12 billion deficit budget, stating that the city is facing a “serious fiscal crisis.”
During a press conference on Wednesday, Mamdani accused Adams of underbudgeting important services that NYC residents “rely on every single day,” while “quietly leaving behind enormous gaps for the future.” Mamdani also accused former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) of extracting NYC’s “resources” and using the city’s revenues to “address state level holes, while withholding from the city what it was owed.”

Hillary Clinton took to social media to express support for the rioters in Minneapolis even as the disgraced former candidate and her husband were dodging a congressional subpoena looking into their relationship with family friend and Clinton Foundation co-founder Jeffrey Epstein.
After condemning the Trump administration’s push to deport illegal alien criminals from Minneapolis, despite the obstruction of violent leftist rioters who had tried to murder federal law enforcement agents and bit off an agent’s finger, Clinton urged directing funding to the rioters.
“In Minnesota, scores of ordinary people are bravely looking out for their neighbors, defending their communities, and protesting lawless violence,” she tweeted. “Here’s how to stand with them.”

Hunter Biden says it doesn’t matter that he has “ghosted” his 7-year-old daughter with ex-stripper Lunden Roberts because he never agreed to be a part of her life, according to a stone-hearted new legal filing. The 55-year-old former first son argued Tuesday in new court papers that the contentious Arkansas child support case for daughter Navy Joan Roberts shouldn’t be reopened after he and his baby mama settled in 2023. But Roberts, 34, earlier this month said Hunter should be jailed for failing to uphold his end of the bargain, claiming he’s refusing to talk to Navy and not giving her pieces of his artwork before it dramatically plunged in value

Former NFL star Charles Tillman swapped footballs for rifles and pistols after hanging up his cleats, swapping a career on the field for one in it.
That was until one day in January 2025 when ICE descended on Chicago.
After 13 seasons in the NFL, the former cornerback joined the FBI, enrolling in the bureau's 20-week training program in Quantico, Virginia in 2018, two years after retiring from football.
And the Chicago Bears icon embraced the role, previously citing a desire to 'do my part and give back' as his reasons for joining up in an exclusive interview with The Daily Mail last year.
However, Tillman, 44, has now revealed

Following weeks of unrest in Minnesota over immigration enforcement in the state, White House border czar Tom Homan announced Thursday that he will begin reducing the number of federal agents in the state once state officials follow through on their pledge to begin cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Homan, who was dispatched to Minnesota after the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti over the weekend, acknowledged that ICE and Customs and Border Patrol operations in the state had not been conducted “perfectly” and that changes needed to be made — but he also reserved significant criticism for Minnesota Democrats who have prevented federal agents from collecting the targets of enforcement operations

Former cable news anchor Don Lemon was arrested last night, multiple sources with direct knowledge tell CBS News. A source familiar says a grand jury was empaneled on this yesterday. FBI and HSI were involved in the arrest, sources say.
It was not immediately clear what charges he would be facing. Abbe Lowell, Lemon's lawyer, confirmed he was taken into custody by federal agents Thursday night in Los Angeles, where he was covering this weekend's Grammy Awards.

Augusta, Maine - Democratic state Rep. Deqa Dhalac will not seek reelection to represent House District 120, and says the decision comes after "serious reflection and conversations" about the political climate for Black elected officials.
Dhalac says during her time serving in the Maine Legislature, the climate has become "increasingly hostile and unsafe." "Throughout my tenure, I have experienced persistent racism, harassment and threats that reflect a broader national pattern targeting Black and brown elected officials," Dhalac said. "These dangers are real and carry heavy emotional and physical consequences not only for those serving but for their families as well."
Dhalac is one of the first Somali Americans to serve

The head of a major Twin Cities police union slammed local officials for blocking cooperation between local cops and ICE and Border Patrol agents -- saying if they were involved, "there would be no loss of life." (snip) Since the Republican National Convention was held in St. Paul in 2008, Minnesota law enforcement has undergone extensive training in mobile field force configurations and crowd management for major events. And because of that, I think we're in the best position to deal with that," Ross said. "Unfortunately, our local politicians would not allow us to do that," he added.

Disgraced ex-CNN anchor Don Lemon was arrested in Los Angeles early Friday over the anti-ICE protest that stormed a Minneapolis church during Sunday service, according to his attorney and US Attorney General Pamela Bondi.
“Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents … in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards,” Lemon’s attorney Abbe Lowell said in a statement shared with multiple reporters.
He was one of four people arrested by federal agents early Friday “in connection with the coordinated attack on Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota,” Bondi later confirmed in a statement.

Lefty New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill urged residents to film ICE agents operating in their neighborhoods and upload the videos to a state “portal” she vowed to launch.
“If you see an ICE agent in the street, get your phone out,” the Democrat, just eight days into her first term as governor of the Garden State, said in a sit-down interview with The Daily Show host Desi Lydic Wednesday night.
Sherill’s administration will soon be launching a “portal,” she said, so New Jerseyans “can upload all their cell phone videos and alert people” about local immigration operations.
It was unclear how much this portal would cost Garden State taxpayers to launch.
