The skirmish that led to Saturday's fatal shooting of an agitator by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis and the response that followed were driven by a complex network of far-left organizations with a wide range of causes, a Fox News Digital investigation found. A coordinated web of encrypted chats, street alerts and tracking of ICE "Abductors" in a sophisticated database reviewed by Fox News Digital shows that agitators were already mobilized at the scene where 37-year-old Alex Pretti was killed minutes before any shots were fired.

The recent shooting in Minneapolis that led to the death of Alex Pretti has the nation animated again. Pretti was killed over the weekend, shot by Border Patrol agents. He was armed, but the video analysis and investigation must be conducted, because this incident, unlike the Renee Good incident on January 6, isn’t as clear-cut. You can carry your firearm to a protest. Still, that doesn’t mean the Left didn't go insane, claiming this was another execution. Yet, who is running away? It’s the Republicans, and you can see the dam breaking on this one. They’re in a midterm season, they’re digesting fake news, and being bombarded by

Over the weekend, USA Today reported that northeast states were experiencing an unusual winter problem – a shortage of salt.
It seems that there have been so many snowstorms this winter that even states like Michigan and Vermont – which are quite accustomed to them – are running short of the snow-melting chemical.
“An official from Monroe County, [Michigan] located between Detroit and Ohio, told the news station that local crews used more salt in December than in the past four Decembers combined,” says USA Today.
But what’s curiously missing from this and other accounts of the winter storm

The city of Los Angeles has quietly steered $1.4 million in taxpayer funds to a “social justice” group that wants to abolish the LAPD, cancel the 2028 Olympics, halt rent and mortgage payments — and has even sued the city.
Strategic Actions for a Just Economy (SAJE) is not just an activist group protesting on the steps of City Hall, it’s a paid contractor for the city of LA. The group has been hired to perform tenant outreach, education and housing-related mapping work. SAJE has received at least $1.43 million since 2020, primarily through contracts with the Los Angeles Housing Department, which is under city control, and additional grants from

A conservative D.A. in rural Arizona is changing the state’s landscape — for the better. With the state in chaos due to botched elections, patriots are desperately in need of a leader to stand up and unite the base. Enter Pinal County Attorney Brad Miller, who was elected to office over a year ago, defeating a two-term incumbent backed by the Pinal County Board of Supervisors and amplified by the local media establishment. That was not an accident. It was a rejection. At the time Miller took office, the chairman of the supervisors was already entrenched, serving his fourth term. Miller is different. He is the outlier,

It’s last call for San Francisco’s government hooch.
A COVID-era program that guzzled $5 million of taxpayer money annually to serve booze to homeless alcoholics will finally shutter this year, San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie exclusively told The California Post.
“For years, San Francisco was spending $5 million a year to provide alcohol to people who were struggling with homelessness and addiction — it doesn’t make sense, and we’re ending it,” Lurie said. The taxpayer tipple, called the Managed Alcohol Program (MAP), was created by the San Francisco Department of Public Health in April 2020, when the city began housing homeless people in hotels during lockdown.

Former Minnesota Vikings captain and University of Minnesota football star, Jack Brewer, has accused Minneapolis authorities of protecting illegal migrant “thugs” in the city, and said Democrats in the state only opposed ICE’s actions because they were “deporting” their supporters.
“There is something wrong in Minneapolis. We need a city-wide behavioral health assessment. People have completely lost reality,” the former Golden Gophers defensive back told Fox News Digital.
“I hope President Trump sends in the National Guard. We need curfews. We need real consequences for attacking law enforcement.

We're learning a lot more about the people who were in the anti-ICE Signal chat groups that independent journalist Cam Higby infiltrated in Minnesota, the organization of the group, its donors, and the significance of the address at which Alex Pretti was obstructing federal officers. There's far too much information to detail completely in this piece, but even just from an overview, it's clear that there is an organized insurrection underway, led by several elected officials in Minnesota and aided by alleged journalists. Let's hit the highlights:

A candidate for the Illinois Statehouse worries there could be a dark side to the 725% increase in Medicaid payments for children without Social Security numbers.
After more than a year of digging, Statehouse candidate Bailey Templeton’s most public records collection shows 1,085 Illinois children under 18 without SSNs had Medicaid bills of $66 million in 2025. That’s up 725% from $8 million for 450 children in 2021.
“It's roughly $40 million spent on inpatient treatment, that's a lot of time for children to be in hospitals,” Templeton told The Center Square Friday. The data only generates more questions for Templeton.
“It raises questions about what would be called medical trafficking,

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison previously argued that Americans have no Second Amendment right to carry firearms at political protests.
Ellison joined 16 other attorneys general from Democrat-led states in an amicus brief filed with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in January 2024, according to court records. The coalition argued states can ban firearms at political rallies and protests because such events attract violence.
The group also contended that guns at demonstrations could intimidate people and discourage them from speaking freely. Ellison’s legal stance faced scrutiny Saturday when Border Patrol agents fatally shot Alex Pretti

The Washington Post could shut down its entire sports section after management informed staffers that it was abruptly scrapping its planned coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics two weeks before the opening ceremony.
The decision by the Jeff Bezos-owned publication to cancel coverage of the Winter Games coincides with a report from Puck News journalist Dylan Byers, who tweeted on Saturday that “massive layoffs” at the paper were imminent.
According to Byers, there is increased chatter that the Washington Post’s “sports desk could be shuttered entirely” and that its “foreign desk will be hit hard too.”
A Washington Post spokesperson was not immediately available to comment.

A new National Police Service (NPS) will free up local forces to tackle everyday crime by taking over responsibility for counter-terror, fraud and organised crime investigations, the home secretary has said.
Shabana Mahmood told the BBC the NPS, which she has dubbed a "British FBI", was "absolutely not" about saving money but about designing a new policing model for England and Wales.
It will bring the work of existing agencies such as the National Crime Agency (NCA) and regional organised crime units under the same organisation, buying new technology such as facial recognition on behalf of all forces.

Conservative: Beijing Wins in TikTok Deal
The new TikTok deal allows China’s ByteDance to keep 19.9% of the company, gripes National Review’s Jim Geraghty, a “complete violation of the law” that aimed to force a total sale.
This is “selling out American national security interests,” since it still lets Beijing use the app “to spread anti-American propaganda and suppress criticism of the regime in Beijing.”
Any “deal that merely has the U.S. ‘license’ the algorithm doesn’t address the heart of the problem,” as “licensing is not ownership and monitoring is not control.”
This deal “may sound like a compromise, but it is in fact a capitulation.”

Here’s a challenge. Ask your neighbor, ask your best friend, ask the guy standing next to you at the deli counter, ask as many relatives as possible, ask any real estate agent in the world this question: What is the number-one thing all people in the world do when they decide to move into an apartment or condo or co-op or house?
Even before they buy appliances or furniture or food for their refrigerator or outdoor plants or a new mailbox. Even before they hire an inspector to check out if everything in their new digs is in good order.

Eighty-eight-year-old Washington, DC, Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D) ended her reelection campaign early Sunday amid calls for her retirement.
Norton filed a termination report with the Federal Election Commission, the Hill reported, noting she had served in the role for the past 35 years.
“Former senior aide of the D.C. Democrat, Trent Holbrook, launched a bid for her seat earlier this month, while Robert White, a member of the Council of the District of Columbia, announced his intention to run for the District’s sole nonvoting seat in September,” the article read.
Along with her age, the elderly delegate has been facing criticism regarding her health and mental acuity, according to the Washington Examiner.

It was hardly necessary to read the headlines Sunday morning to know that the corporate media, like Minnesota’s irresponsible governor Tim Walz, would effectively accuse federal immigration officers of brutally executing Alex Pretti. For example, a New York Times “analysis” fails to mention that Pretti was an anti-ICE activist who had interfered with the apprehension of a criminal suspect, and was violently resisting arrest when the officers realized he was armed. The Times falsely claims, “An agent had already removed Mr. Pretti’s gun when two other agents opened fire, shooting him in the back as he lay on the ground.”

The left is making a hero and a martyr of Alex Pretti, which makes perfect sense if you ignore nearly all the facts. Here is what we know so far:
* Pretti was no innocent bystander or peaceful protester. He was a member of the signal “ICE watch group” that was formed to interfere with federal law enforcement. Matt Margolis has much more about the well-organized, and no doubt well-financed, criminal group of which Pretti was a member.
* Pretti came to an area where federal officers were carrying out an enforcement action with the intent of trying to disrupt them. He brought with him a luxury version

It’s counterintuitive, and the opposite would be far worse. But we’re still duty-bound to prepare for the electoral fallout.
Because, in all probability, it’s coming with a vengeance in 2026.
I don’t want to sound unappreciative, because I’m delighted with the results. Ask yourself: Would you rather solve illegal immigration, halt border crossings, stop violent crime, and deal with the political consequences — or live in a country with nonexistent borders and a runaway crime rate?
When we consider the alternative, what choice did we have?

The US Air Force said Sunday it was about to begin a multi-day readiness exercise across the Middle East “to demonstrate the ability to deploy, disperse, and sustain combat airpower” in the region, amid heightened tensions with Iran.
“This exercise reinforces peace through strength by fielding a credible, combat-ready, and responsible presence designed to deter aggression, reduce the risk of miscalculation and assure partners,” a statement released by US Air Forces Central (AFCENT) said.
