Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has started raising money for a legal defense fund after the Department of Justice subpoenaed Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, and with others for allegedly conspiring to impede law enforcement. This also comes as there has been massive fallout from a fraud scandal that has plagued Minnesota.
In a message sent out to supporters, Walz said, “Tim Walz here. Last week, the federal government opened an investigation into me. This comes just weeks after a federal ICE agent fatally shot Renee Good in Minneapolis, unleashing chaos across our city. For years now, Americans have been told that birthright citizenship is settled law. They’ve been convinced it’s untouchable and obvious. If you’re born on American soil, you’re automatically a U.S. citizen, end of discussion. And if you questioned that idea, it wasn’t just discouraged; you were branded some kind of unconstitutional traitor. This has been the ruse designed to keep this sham going.
And as you likely know, President Trump is trying to put an end to this farce. The moment he signed the executive order ending birthright citizenship, the left rushed to court with lawsuits already locked and loaded. So now, the fight over what actually makes someone an American

Tensions between the United States and Canada have rapidly escalated this week after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney delivered a rousing speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday, declaring a “rupture” in the old world order and calling on “middle powers” to unite.
The once jovial public relationship between Carney and President Trump has descended into a barbed back-and-forth, with Trump on Friday disinviting Canada from his Board of Peace, which Ottawa was already hesitant to join.

Is Minnesota AG Keith Ellison moving closer to legal jeopardy? The far-left Democrat recently defended the activists who stormed a church in Minneapolis, but it's the Somali fraud scandal that is at the center of this latestAccording to Fox News, there is allegedly audio of Keith Ellison being offered campaign donations by now-convicted Somali fraudsters in exchange for "getting the money flowing again." The meeting is claimed to have taken place in 2021. The first thing to figure out here is what audio is even being cited. Fox News says it came from Aimee Bock's lawyer, one of the ringleaders of a $250 million Somali fraud scheme.

Think about it. Heads of government do not normally reveal the texts of private communications from other heads of state. Yet that is what Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store of Norway did Sunday, on the first weekend of the World Economic Forum in Davos, where the international press would have no difficulty finding appalled foreign leaders to comment. You could think of this as a hostile act of a statesman appalled that the American head of government does not know that the government of Norway does not decide who gets the Nobel Peace Prize.

The media narrative against President Trump’s effort to enforce immigration law was on full display last week at a White House press briefing.
“Earlier you were just defending ICE agents … that they were doing everything correctly,” Niall Stanage of the Hill challenged press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
“Thirty-two people died in ICE custody last year; 170 US citizens were detained by ICE. And, uh, Renee Good was shot in the head and killed … How does that equate to them doing everything correctly?”V

With one full week to go before current funding expires on several federal agencies, the House has passed the last of its FY2026 budget appropriations. Now the two consolidated bills come to the Senate, and Chuck Schumer has some choices to make. Will he lead Senate Democrats into another shutdown ... or stand down and let the moment pass quietly?
House Democrats made the latter more likely yesterday. Enough of them crossed the aisle to pass the bill containing the appropriations for the Department of Homeland Security, while the other consolidated bill sailed to passage:

President Trump’s remarks at Davos have caused a chorus of howls. Some of that howling is understandable. But some of it is makes as much sense as howling at the moon.
Take the “Board of Peace” proposal. Countries like France and Britain are refusing to sign on to the president’s initiative. They complain that there are countries on the board they do not approve of. And that there is a risk that it could prove a rival organization to the United Nations.

What's playing out in Minneapolis (snip) controlled by Democrats is as simple as this: That party willfully ignored our nation's laws to import millions of destitute foreigners for the purpose of loading them up with welfare and earning their political support, and now that they're out of power, they're trying to keep their new constituents here by any means necessary. Those means include continuing to ignore the law, and in many cases, opposing the law. And this is why the public should have not a shred of concern about what Democrats have to say about how the current president (snip) tries to fix the mess they created.

Some of us are old enough to remember Matthew Lesko, the lanky, fast-talking late-night TV pitchman who promised people free government money to those who bought his books.
There are, Lesko said in one of his countless ads decades ago, “15,000 programs you can use to get a better job, get an education, or start your own business. Those who know about the programs are the ones who get the money!” Lesko was right about how easy it is to get taxpayer money.
What Lesko didn’t say is that it’s easy to do even when it violates the law — especially if you live in a state run by Democrats.

European leaders worked themselves up into full-blown hysteria before President Trump spoke to the World Economic Forum this week with wild claims that Trump planned a U.S. invasion of Greenland that would destroy the NATO alliance and the rules-based international order. A couple of dozen European troops were hurriedly sent to Greenland. French President Macron called for an emergency G7 summit. European leaders also discussed implementing a “bazooka” trade retaliation against the United States.
But when Trump spoke at the Davos Summit on Wednesday, these hair-on-fire claims melted away in the face of his masterful speech, which laid out in depth his successful record of promoting global security and ending wars.

Iran claimed this week to have successfully tested its first long-range intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), a capability that would enable Tehran to strike the eastern seaboard of the United States, according to regime-controlled outlets.
The regime purportedly conducted its missile launch from an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps base in the city of Semnan, firing toward Siberia with the approval of the Russian government. The missile would have traveled up to 3,700 miles to reach its target, though video of the supposed launch only shows an airborne projectile soaring through the clouds. Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes wildly suggested that residents can open fire on masked ICE agents if they feel their life is in danger under the state’s self-defense laws.
The Democrat, in a sit-down with 12 News anchor Brahm Resnik, warned that Arizona’s “Stand Your Ground” law, which allows citizens to use deadly force if they believe they’re in imminent danger, could become a “recipe for disaster” if protesters clash with immigration officers.
“It’s kind of a recipe for disaster because you have these masked federal officers with very little identification, sometimes no identification, wearing plain clothes and masks,” Mayes said in the Monday interview, calling ICE “very poorly trained.”
