European leaders worked themselves up into full-blown hysteria before President Trump spoke to the World Economic Forum this week with wild claims that Trump planned a U.S. invasion of Greenland that would destroy the NATO alliance and the rules-based international order. A couple of dozen European troops were hurriedly sent to Greenland. French President Macron called for an emergency G7 summit. European leaders also discussed implementing a “bazooka” trade retaliation against the United States.
But when Trump spoke at the Davos Summit on Wednesday, these hair-on-fire claims melted away in the face of his masterful speech, which laid out in depth his successful record of promoting global security and ending wars.

Everybody realized that except Newsom, who made a political jackass of himself.

My mouth dropped open when Newson was bad mouthing Trump. What was he thinking? No wonder they shut him out of the event.

The Board of Peace for Gaza is doomed as long as a single member of Hamas remains alive for these people are still armed and religiously committed to the destruction of Israel. I say flood the tunnels and force them up into the light so that they may no longer hide behind women and children like the cowards they are - albeit well-armed ones.

It is appropriate that the UN has been left out of peace plans for Gaza.

President Trump demonstrated what leadership looks like. Governor Newsom was the polar opposite.

I am shocked that they allowed him to take the stage! He was amazing.

I was reading an article posted here a few days and the author is Arthur Schaper. One of the lines in his article is "In fact, there should be some civility from our statesmen as they engage in statescraft." The author believes that the bad language and improper physical language is disrespectful. I would agree 99% of the time with him but given the culture of violence, fraud, and hate, I beg to differ. After all, it isn't Arthur Schaper who had a shot taken at him in July 2024. I suppose because Don Lemon was at the church in Minneapolis as a journalist, his behavior was respectful and okay. Don't bother with the fact that he was there with agitators and not even attending the church service.
All I can say is I am so glad that Donald Trump is who he is. . .

Trump was by far the most important person there and everyone knew it, including him.
Newsom had no business whatsoever even being there and it was painfully obvious. Whoever advised him to do that was probably fired.

I forget who it was who said Trump stood 'astride the world' in his last term, very apt then and even more so now.
And his cabinet, the executors, where did he find such incredible people?

Like that, poster #12. Gavin Newscum, Canadian PM, and that other female (can't remember her name, don't care) did not get the memo. They got the one that told them they were relevant. :)

To understand Trump, you have be paying attention to what is going on in the world. Putin is trying to reestablish the Soviet Union starting with Ukraine. NATO countries were expecting the US to provide all the help to Ukraine while they did nothing. Trump suggested that if they did nothing he might do nothing when Putin went after the next one of them. This “mule motivation” finally worked. (To motivate a mule, you first have to get its attention by waking it in the head with a club.) Putin also showed interest in making the Arctic Ocean into a Russian lake and establishing bases in Greenland. Abruptly, NATO realized the importance of Greenland to them and sent troops to defend it. They could see for themselves they were not capable of defending it. Another example of mule motivation.

Twenty likes for #14.
And for clarification when "NATO realized the importance of Greenland to them and sent troops to defend it" they sent a few dozen troops.....all that they could muster and get their with their very limited military resources. I'm surprised that they didn't have to fly on commercial airlines, having so limited military airlift capacity.
