The U.S. Has Pulled Out of the WHO. Here’s
What That Means for Public Health

Original Article

The U.S. was one of the first countries to join the World Health Organization (WHO) when it was created in 1948 as part of the United Nations. But on Jan. 22, 2026, it officially withdrew from the global health group. The U.S. has historically been the largest funder to the WHO, through both its assessed and voluntary contributions, so the departure is poised to disrupt both global and domestic health. “This is one of the most penny-wise and billion-dollar-foolish moves,” says Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota.

Comments:

A very good thing! WHO = China. Covid and all....

Protect what? With European birth rates chronically below replacement, the prevalence of nihilism with attendant loss of existential meaning, the infantilization of adults caused by a century of devious and rapacious communists/socialists, the volcanic rise of Islam and an overall rejection of the faith of the West, what is there worth saving? Is the meaning of life summarized by the word “cozy”? Not for Americans. Merz is right. The world will not be “cozy” much longer. And the only traditional European ally that has remained anywhere near fighting trim is the same U.S. to which he condescends. How ironic that a German Chancellor complains of his country being forced to do the bidding of superior powers.

I don't think the WHO has ever really touched my life. It, like so many Big Organizations, has lost touch with its purpose and now is only an organ to make its officers rich and to publish papers of no importance. I love my doctor who takes good care of me, but those faceless bureaucrats mean nothing to me.

Leftists love big bureaucracies where they can worm their way in and push Leftist policies instead of pursuing what the supposed goals of the agency are. Lots of money comes in, gets tossed in a blender and, magically, a lot of it disappears into Leftist ratholes without a trace. President Trump (and DOGE) has been chasing down US government spending that goes into these groups and eliminating paying ones that don't clearly align with US goals or obfuscate their activities and spending. Everytime another Leftist group gets defunded, the Left declares "It's the end of the world!" It is FOR THEM, their frauds and their power is drying up.

#10 please remember the involvement of WHO in the Covid-19 event. Remember? The brilliant plan to impose global government through a health care "emergency" using trusted social government and medical instritutions and inidividuals to shut down economies, control travel, censor all sources of information, and micromanage individual behavior to the extent that many people were confined to their own homes. Staggering waves of deception sweeping the whole world! It WAS a brilliant plan -- wicked and evil genius. And it almost worked. There are still millions of people that have no idea what really happened.

Osterholm is the MN PhD who ran Biden's Covid program. Rememberthat? In order to get an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the insuffiientrly tested Mrna vaccones, there had to be no remedy for Covid. The EUA also nproteted vaccine manufacturers from liability. Thus the effective trearments like Ivermectin, used successfully in otjer countries, were effectovely banned here. Follow the money.

Serious concern for the annual flu shot is greatly exaggerated since my last one was about 50 years ago. As for the COVID-19 shot, we have absolute proof that everybody who avoided that poison dodged a big bullet. This article is classified as fiction. The US supplied the lion's share of WHO funding and no doubt supplied most of the data as well so we will not miss anything. WHO is nothing but a branch of the NWO.

The videos coming out of Minneapolis, of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers apprehending illegal immigrants in the streets while having to fight off aggressive and sometimes violent anti-ICE activists, are the predictable result of a Democrat strategy that amounts to nullification. Readers search for “paid protest cost” or “crowd-for-hire pricing” because they want price clarity, legal context, and a sense of how these services operate. This piece explains what has been publicly reported about costs and how those figures fit inside legal and reputational guardrails. It also separates lawful event staffing from tactics marketed as protest-on-demand, which raise serious ethical questions and legal risk.

European leaders worked themselves up into full-blown hysteria before President Trump spoke to the World Economic Forum this week with wild claims that Trump planned a U.S. invasion of Greenland that would destroy the NATO alliance and the rules-based international order. A couple of dozen European troops were hurriedly sent to Greenland. French President Macron called for an emergency G7 summit. European leaders also discussed implementing a “bazooka” trade retaliation against the United States.
