Events in Europe, the Middle East, and here are moving so quickly, it seems that decades of deceit, corruption and, just plain stupidity are nearing their end sooner than we could have imagined. Here’s a sample of the tremors this week which promise to undo the near past. Credible reports indicate 23,000 civilians have been murdered by the mullahs’ forces, and videos (again made public due to the extraordinary efforts of Elon Musk’s teams to work around the mullah's blackouts) reveal extraordinary brutality.

I'm less optimistic; it was just a week go many thought the Islamic regime in Iran was on the brink of collapse. Instead they opened their Satanic hearts and poured evil on the Iranians. Now we read the protests have "calmed." Perhaps our brave media will note that the demand for water and food has slackened. Ms Feldman is right that these are cathartic times, though. She pegs the chaos in Minnesota as a diversionary tactic. "In a clear attempt to deflect from the massive corruption in Minnesota and, in particular, Minneapolis, Governor Walz and Mayor Frey are encouraging the lawless attacks on ICE personnel." She scarcely has space to mention Western Europe's race to authoritarianism, but she does point to bright spots in South America and Eastern Europe. These are busy times for short columns.

BULLSCHEISSE! I've never disagreed with Clarice prior to this article, that I recall. Now, I cannot disagree more! 1. If the Trumpster hadn't LIED his ass off about the aid to Iranians, Twenty Three THOUSAND souls wouldn't be DEAD! That's only a start methinks! 2. Trump is 0 for 3 with his appointments for AG, with the HUNDREDS of Criminals scum who worked for Biden ZERO are in custody, indicted or in fear of prosecution! Republicans are the very least effective at prosecuting the enemies of America! 3. The Garbage that is England has succumbed to the Satanic Cult of Islam... There will NEVER be Peace on this Earth until such time as Islam is entirely eradicated! Soros etal. are impervious to prosecution, they also have Bondi and friends in their collective pockets... Prove me wrong!

Clarice is one wise woman. She rarely throws darts because she owns the dartboard. Trump's handling of Iran is a game of chess. If we go in there too soon with a heavy hand, we become the bad guy, the aggressor vilified by the world. He is doing the smart thing, like playing a 120-pound Yellow Fin Tuna on your line. If you hastily attempt to muscle the fish into the boat, you will lose it. Keep the tension on the line and bring it in gradually. The Iranian regime will cave on their own and scurry away like bloodied rats because they can do nothing else. If we move too hastily, they will go scorched earth and many more innocent people will die. Minneapolis is also a waiting game. A few more incidents like the stupid move of Renee Good will allow ICE and likely the NG to do what needs to be done to smash the hired goons into submission. Officially linking Walz, Omar and Frey to the theft and the disaster will be a big step.

We just read another article that said 16,000 now this one says 23,000 . We need to know the truth before we jump off this cliff. We know that Itan must get rid of the Mullahs before it can be civilized and brought into the 21st century, but why is it that no other country on the world wants to help Iran be free.

Can we please add Mayorkas and Biden to that list? Without the two of them, ICE would not have nearly as much work to do.

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Ken Martin compared the U.S. to Iran in several social media posts Sunday, claiming both countries are guilty of "killing protesters." Martin made his first comparison on X, expressing support for both protesters in the U.S. and Iran for rising up against "systems that wield violence without accountability." "From Tehran to my birthplace of Minneapolis, people are rising up against systems that wield violence without accountability. In Iran, brave protestors confront a far-right theocratic regime that crushes dissent and denies basic freedoms," Martin wrote.

Much of the mainstream news this week has been, in my opinion, partisan or devoted to less-than-significant matters. Does it really matter if the Trump-appointed board that saved the Kennedy Center from going to wrack and ruin has added his name to the building? Were you really surprised that Bill Clinton, not Trump, was pictured in the released Epstein files cavorting with women whose faces were blacked out because they were either minors or victims? (Snip) I think the important and underreported stories of the week, are different -- the growing fractures in the European Union and the Administration’s lowering the boom on richly rewarded migration sponsors.

To my mind the two biggest stories of the week for their domestic impact are Senator Chuck Schumer’s threatened government shutdown and the indictment of former FBI head James Comey. Neither of them bodes well for the Democrats, whose favorability ratings are already scraping bottom. Both revolve around the magic date September 30, that is, this Tuesday. If the Congress does not pass a continuing resolution this Tuesday, the government will shut down. Schumer insists that he won’t vote for a stopgap bill, something centrists in his party like Senator Jeanne Shaheen are seeking.

By now we are getting used to lower courts misappropriating their roles, acting as if they occupied that of the chief executive. As these cases reach the Supreme Court, they are being overturned, but not without a cost to the president’s agenda or to the respect to which we’d normally accord the judiciary. The notion of a judicial coup is not far off, and people like Elon Musk suggest it’s time for Congress to initiate impeachment proceedings against the worst offenders.

More Americans than ever are choosing not to drink alcohol, according to a new Gallup Poll. Only 54% of respondents to Gallup’s annual Consumption Habits survey conducted last month say they consume alcohol, which is the lowest on record in nearly 90 years. A hate-fueled suspect launched a “targeted terror attack’’ in Colorado on Sunday — setting at least one woman on fire as he screamed, “End Zionists!” and lobbed molotov cocktails at people commemorating Israeli hostages still in Gaza, officials said. Video footage captured the alleged attacker — who law-enforcement sources identified to The Post as Mohammed Soliman — in the middle of a tirade about Palestine and calling for death to “Zionists” before he tossed the fiery containers. “They are killers! The Supreme Court’s order on Monday granting the Trump administration’s emergency request to lift a lower court stay on deportations of certain Venezuelan nationals was unsigned, swift, and unmistakable in its signal—or signals. For now, the executive branch retains its sovereign authority to enforce immigration law. And for President Trump, now in his second, non-consecutive term, the ruling marked an early victory in a week that would yield several more. The logical response of Democrat owners is to blame and leave the party that provokes this nonsensical criminal behavior.

The hearing, chaired by Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar and Democratic Washington Rep. The Jan. 7 shooting death of Renee Good has become a political Rorschach test. A Quinnipiac poll released on Tuesday finds that a majority of American voters, 53%, believe ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who shot Good on a Minneapolis street last Wednesday, was not justified in doing so. Thirty-five percent believe the shooting was justified, while 12% have no opinion. But the poll results vary widely when the respondents’ political affiliations are examined. Seventy-seven percent of Republicans believe the shooting was justified, while 28% of independents and only four percent of Democrats hold the same opinion. These poll results are unsurprising. Congress created Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to briefly assist those in need. Shakespeare warned, “Ingratitude is monstrous; and for the multitude to be ingrateful, were to make a monster of the multitude.” In the case of TPS, “multitude” is correct. As of January 2025, approximately 1.4 million foreign nationals in the United States were shielded from removal under the program. The Trump administration decided to terminate TPS for several countries, with Somalia as the most recent. That choice is the right step in a long-overdue course correction for an immigration program that previous administrations exploited far past its statutory purpose. Somalia was first designated for TPS in 1991
