What MLK might have to say about America today

What would the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. have to say about his country’s contentious racial landscape on this, his 97th birthday? America is a far different place from the nation that saw King felled by an assassin’s bullet in 1968 at the young age of 39; different even from the country that made this a federal holiday in 1983. Black Americans still face real inequities. Look at the huge numbers of crime victims, disproportionately black, generated by terrible progressive policies on public safety. Or the decay of America’s public schools, once an engine of black social mobility:

From what I have witnessed since the sixties, I don't think many Blacks give one whit to MLK and what he stood for except to invoke his name to batter White folks. If you don't believe it, go back and read his, "I Have a Dream" speech. Trillion$$$ have been poured iinto multiple welfare, AA and redundant government programs to help Black's, and still their hands are out for reparations.

King gave 50s 60s version speeches about dei AND reparations. The theology he preached was hard Marxist that twisted the true meaning of the Gospel. He had real black Christian preachers all over America warning their flocks about King.

The biggest problem blacks have today is black on black crime in their ghetto's. They got promotions they didn't deserve and jobs they are not qualified for the one thing that is the same today as it was in MLK's day is that they have never stopped crying about being black and begging for reparations Some have succeeded but most are still the same Gimmedats MLK preached to.

Total hogwash. Anybody who has ever been in a classroom with black students quickly sees that they would rather perform a comedy routine than learn anything. Don't blame it all on the teachers. They want white people to work until they are 90 years old so the EBT cards are loaded with more money every month even though obesity is the norm. In their ghettos they create their own problems. BLM showed us exactly what we are dealing with and shoplifting is now a way of life.

First of all, MLK was a straight up marxist, he was not Christian, and he was not Republican (maybe INO). Second, white people are the majority in this country, and there are more white people on welfare (it's similar to more whites are killed by cops than blacks). Black people work to fund welfare, just like white people. Also, a lot of white women got jobs they are not qualified for under DEI; some say white women are the biggest beneficiaries of DEI. People who are recipients of EBT and DEI (for the most part) are powerless against you. It's the people who perpetuate and prop up this stuff that are doing the most harm, and the majority of those individuals are white! Break down the makeup of the House and Senate (federal and state), and you'll understand what I'm saying to you, and you won't be distracted by color.

Last I checked blacks are in charge of much of the local governments in this land and that includes schools and police departments.The people in these jurisdictions are responsible to make these leaders accountable. Blaming everyone else, instead of taking responsibility, may make them feel good but many are not fooled.

Does it really matter anymore? His name is only used nowadays to make successful white people fell guilty about their success. And yes, #2, much of the damage being done to our society are wealthy white people, especially white women like the widow of a Walmart heir (funding the No Kings crap) and the Bezos and Jobs ex wives.

In the main, Martin Luther King Jr. Is fondly remembered for his ''I Have a Dream'' speech and its inspired rhetoric. His insistence on non violent protest has been discarded as irrelevant by today's political activist..

MLK Jr. was useful idiot for the Soviet Union. He was an orating opportunist who would today be in BLM's camp if they placed its female members in his hotel room each evening. If you think otherwise, then ask yourself what's in his "raw" FBI File that remains secret long after the legal "50 year limit" is a distant "dot" in the rear view mirror.

The FBI tracked MLK because they were afraid of the power and popularity that he held, not because of any criminal activity. Anything in his file would be embarrassing to both him and the FBI people who were on the other side of the cameras and microphones so we won't see it anytime soon.

Assuming his intention was to mark the first anniversary of his return to the White House, President Trump couldn’t have picked a more suitable time or event to launch the Board of Peace for Gaza. His decision to hold the launch Thursday at a Davos gathering of world leaders highlights Trump’s role in trying to stop the war between Israel and Hamas and start the massive rebuilding of Gaza. It also reflects his unprecedented global footprint and illustrates once again that he is an American president like no other.

My good friend and colleague Dr Sarah Myhill is a truly outstanding doctor, who has devoted the last 40 years to putting patients’ wellbeing first. ‘But don’t all doctors put their patients’ wellbeing first?’ I hear you asking. Well sadly not, which is precisely why she is the most prosecuted doctor in the history of the GMC. They keep trying;

As RedState and our sister site Townhall reported, these so-called social justice warriors stormed into the Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, in the middle of their worship service, on the premise that one of the church's pastors was associated with ICE. My colleague Nick Arama revealed that former CNN anchor Don Lemon decided to join the terrorists to livestream the protest, because "journalism."

The U.S. federal government finished Fiscal Year 2025 with about $7 trillion in outlays and just over $5 trillion in revenues, leaving a deficit of roughly $1.8 trillion -- a gap that adds to the exploding national debt and threatens economic stability. Under current trajectories, deficits are projected to remain near this scale for the foreseeable future, absent dramatic policy changes. What if, as some argue, the solution is staring us in the face: eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse across government programs and pair that with stronger tariff revenues? Could that alone balance the budget without cutting core programs or raising taxes? Is this wishful thinking or a real possibility?

On Thursday, the White House released its self-described “Great Health Care Plan” (emphasis in the original). The plan — all 359 words of it (yes, I counted) — contains some good policies and some not-so-good ones. Most notably, however, it eschews any reference to the enhanced Covid subsidies that the administration was reportedly going to embrace just before Thanksgiving. That in itself should relieve conservatives, but it doesn’t mean the plan’s other components don’t deserve scrutiny of their policy merits, or lack thereof.

This is not only insane and untrue, it’s a complete perversion of history. The Republican Party was founded to end slavery in the United States. Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican president, who fought the Democrats on the issue of slavery, which escalated into the American Civil War. Democrats do this all the time.
